Review: FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES Satisfies Our Fatal Curiosity With Inventive and Wicked Carnage — GeekTyrant
Right away the film reassures longtime fans that the rules are still cruel, the premonition is still a rush, and fate remains the snarkiest villain in horror.
Directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein keep the franchise DNA intact while sliding in a tighter, almost mystery‑thriller rhythm. We follow college student Stefanie, who's tormented by repeat nightmares and heads home to figure out what in the hell is going on.
The fresh wrinkle in the story is generational, Bloodlines plays with the idea that the curse is wired into ancestry, not just survivors of one freak accident, and that tweak adds just enough spice to the story without rewriting the rulebook.
Plot‑wise, the movie moves like a carnival ride you know by heart… premonition, scramble, a prop in the background sparks a chain reaction, and boom! Death!
It's familiar comfort food, and that's part of the fun. Tony Todd's final turn as the ominous William Bludworth is both eerie and oddly touching; the film pauses just long enough on him to feel like a proper curtain call for the actor.
But, the meat here is the meat. The death set pieces are bloody gleeful. Each death escalates the blood and gore quota while keeping the punch‑line timing that makes this series a midnight‑movie staple. When I saw the movie, every death came with cringe groans by the audience, followed by clappoing and cheers when death succeeds. .
If you're a veteran of this franchise, Bloodlines gives you exactly the ride you paid for, no reinvention necessary, just sharper claws and a wicked sense of showmanship.
Grab a group of equally morbid buddies, find the fullest theater you can, and let the collective gasps‑then‑laughing wash over you. This is a fun horror flick and one of the best entries in the franchise.
As a send‑off to Tony Todd and a love letter to pragmatic, imaginative carnage, it's a satisfyingly nasty reminder that Death may be inevitable, but the route can still surprise the hell out of us.

Before practice started Channel 11's Andrew Havranek caught up with fan who shares the Aaron Rodgers name. Of course, her first name is spelled a bit differently, but it's still caused her some hardships, especially after Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers beat the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. 'Growing up I always got name like, all kinds of jokes about me, when I go into restaurants, everyone thinks I'm joking most of the time, they're like 'you're Erin Rodgers?'' she said. Now, she's just hoping that since Aaron Rodgers is in the black and gold, she won't be booed anymore. 'It makes it a lot better instead of it being kind of an exciting but also booing me it will be more an all around 100% good because now I can outwardly support him and not be shunned,' Rodgers said. And as for that Rodgers Packers jersey she owns? 'Are you going to be replacing that with a Steelers' Rodgers jersey?' Havranek asked. 'I am considering it,' Rodgers said. Like many entries in this genre, it's bound to be chock-full of coming-of-age lessons about balancing the life you've planned with the one you never saw coming. Like every "Final Destination" movie, "Bloodlines" kicks off with a jaw-dropping premonition that catastrophe is about to strike. Though she manages to save a few people from their grisly fate, it sets off a chain reaction that puts their children, including her granddaughter Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), in death's crosshairs. Nearly 30 years after the Rage Virus turned Britain into a quarantined wasteland, whatever hope remains has long since rotted. A few survivors have carved out a fragile community walled off from the undead hordes on a remote island off England's coast. When 12-year-old Spike (Alfie Williams) embarks on a rite of passage to the zombie-plagued mainland with his father Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), they learn the infected have mutated into a terrifying new threat that's more human than they thought possible. Rent or buy now on Amazon or Apple I have to confess I don't know much about William Tell. I vaguely remember a children's story about him shooting an apple off his son's head, but that's where my knowledge begins and ends. Though after watching director-writer Nick Hamm's new historical action epic "William Tell," which reimagines the story of the legendary 14th-century Swiss huntsman with a cinematic flair, I'm keen to learn more. Claes Bang stars as Tell, a disillusioned Crusades soldier turned huntsman, who refuses to submit when the Austrian Empire, led by evil King Albrecht (Ben Kingsley), marches into his country. To fight back, he joins a burgeoning rebellion determined to reclaim Swiss independence. It's a good old-fashioned tale of folk heroism and hardy underdogs, but I can't help but think it would have worked better as a miniseries than a bloated 134-minute film. Watch 'William Tell' on Hulu now Between its star power, action-packed set pieces, and clever premise, "Edge of Tomorrow" had all the ingredients of a box office hit. But for reasons beyond me, it fell flat when it hit theaters over a decade ago, earning less than half of its $370 million budget. Thankfully, it's seen a well-earned revival on streaming platforms, and now Peacock subscribers can check out this slept-on sci-fi gem starring Tom Cruise. Set in a future where Earth is being overrun by alien invaders, a cowardly major (Cruise) is thrust onto the front lines after being demoted. With zero combat experience under his belt, he doesn't last long — but instead of dying, he wakes up to the start of the same day. He realizes he's caught in a time loop that resets with every death, and he sets out to escape his grim fate. With the help of Sergeant Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), a renowned soldier rumored to have gained similar abilities after experimenting with the alien's blood, the two set out to defeat the alien horde and save humanity. Colorado movie car museum to find new home, auction dozens of cars, as apartments replace building
A popular movie car museum in the Denver metro area is closing its doors temporarily after this weekend, as the building will be demolished and hundreds of apartments, and possibly a hotel, will replace the space. Now, dozens of cars need to be auctioned off while the owner is working to find a new home. Rodz and Bodz Car Museum in Englewood keeps up to 100 cars on display at all times, with more than 180 cars in a rotating collection. Many of the cars are replicas or vehicles seen on the big screen. "We have cars that are screen-used too, like cars that have been driven by Jim Carrey. We have Justin Timberlake in the In Time challenger and just so many iconic pieces in here," said museum owner Zack Loffert. Loffert opened the first location during COVID at Colorado Mills Mall, then moved the museum to Greeley for a short stint before opening the location in Englewood last October. "Then two months after, they announced the apartments and the hotel," said Loffert. In a statement to CBS Colorado, the City says the developer made the decision to redevelop the shopping center in part due to increased demand for residential units in Englewood and throughout the Denver metro area. The City's approval for zoning allows for 300 apartment units, a parking structure and possibly a hotel. "Moving this museum, this will be the third time in a year and a half, so it's, it's one of those things, like, we don't want to do it again unless it's the final home," said Loffert. "It's one of those things that's kind of pushed us to say, 'Okay, no more leasing. We're going to buy our own building, so that way we don't have to do this anymore.'" An auction this month will help pay for a new home. Sixty cars and trucks will be auctioned off, with 460 total items including porcelain signs and gas pumps. "Herbie the Love Bug, you can go buy Herbie this month and drive it to work on Monday," said Loffert. "It's all the emotions, because they are, they're all my babies, and they all have a story." While the city says there is no estimated timeline of when the building will be demolished, Loffert is working to find a permanent, bigger and better home for the museum. "It's going to be a fully immersive movie set museum experience. So, each section you go to will be its own movie set. It's just like Hollywood, and it's going to be very, very cool," said Loffert. The last day the museum will be open is Sunday, August 3, with the museum closing at 6 p.m. The auction is happening on August 22 and 23. Loffert said he's interested in reopening along the 470 loop and staying centrally located due to the rental car company he also owns.
