Orlando Bloom's rep breaks silence on Katy Perry breakup after split speculation
Representatives for Bloom told USA TODAY in a July 3 statement that, "Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting."
Us Weekly was first to report the news.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect," the statement from Bloom's representatives continued.
USA TODAY has reached out to Perry's representatives for further comment.
The announcement comes after previous reports and media speculation that Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, had ended their nine-year relationship. People and Us Weekly reported in June that the couple had allegedly ended their engagement.
Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016, briefly split in 2017 and got engaged in February 2019. They welcomed daughter Daisy in 2020.

Bloom raised eyebrows in late June when he attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Italy alone. The "Lord of the Rings" alum, donning a crisp white button-down and khaki slacks, flashed a peace sign to onlookers as he left the Gritti Palace Hotel in Venice via boat.
Perry had a slate of four Lifetimes Tour concerts in Adelaide, Australia, during Bezos and Sánchez's wedding weekend. After the celebrity nuptials wrapped, Bloom posted some inspirational quotes on his Instagram Story on June 30.

In the first slide, Bloom re-posted a translated quote from the Buddha that read, "Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most."
In a follow-up post, Bloom typed up a "daily encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda," a prominent Japanese religious figure and Buddhist: "The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next."

Teen tragically dies after hitting his head in botched backflip attempt
An Australian teenager died after a celebratory backflip attempt took a tragic turn. Sonny Blundell, who just moved from New South Wales to an apartment in Queensland for a concreting job and to 'start a new life with his girlfriend,' was found unresponsive by his roommate after the stunt on June 24, his heartbroken older sister, Izabella Cromack-Hay, told The Daily Telegraph. 'He hit his head in the lounge room on the ground and had a headache went to bed,' Cromack-Hay told the outlet. '[He] woke up, went to the toilet vomiting and then passed out. That's when his best friend found him unresponsive in the morning.' Advertisement 3 Sonny Blundell died after a backflip attempt took a tragic turn. GoFundMe The 18-year-old was rushed to the Queensland Hospital Intensive Care Unit and suffered 'multiple strokes.' 'The first 24hrs was the most critical which we nearly lost him after having multiple strokes and another bleed which lead (sic) to him needing a drain in his brain,' Cromack-Hay shared on the GoFundMe page that was made to help pay for Blundell's medical bills and rehab. 'There is major uncertainty that Sonny will or will not pull through. He's working his hardest as there could be recovery and rehabilitation.' 'Our beautiful Sonny has grown his wings and passed away,' Cromack-Hay added. 'We are all in disbelief and major pain.' Money raised from the fundraiser will be used to return his body to his family in New South Wales and pay for funeral costs. 'We need to bring Sonny home as his sisters are waiting for him,' Cromack-Hay wrote in a GoFundMe update on June 30.
