M&S is selling a "limelon" for £3 leaving shoppers divided
Credit: M&S
The posh retailer has brought back its Limelon, shaped and tasting like a melon with a hint of lime.
But customers and foodies have been left divided over the £3 buy.
Some are massive fans, branding it "delicious" and saying they "can't wait" to try it on Facebook.
But others have flat out rejected the concept, with one calling it "disgusting" and another saying they were left unimpressed.
Shoppers on M&S' website are similarly divided, with one saying it was "tasteless and ended up in (the) bin" and another plainly calling it "weird".
But others said it was "extremely juicy" and another a "game changer".
Shoppers keen to give the limelon a try can order it for home delivery via Ocado, which sells M&S products.
Posts on TikTok and Facebook suggest it's available in stores as well, but it's not clear if it's on sale across all M&S branches.
Neither is it clear when the limelon was first launched but reports suggest it made its first appearance on shelves in 2020.
We have asked M&S if the fruit is back permanently, what the calories are and when it was first launched and we'll update this story when we have heard back.
Four ways to save money at M&S
Shoppers on the lookout for limelons in stores can find their nearest M&S branch via - www.marksandspencer.com/store-listing.
If you are buying one, shoppers are recommended to keep it in the fridge.
As ever, you should always shop around before buying any product as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.
Trolley.co.uk is a useful website for comparing the price of supermarket items.
We looked on the site and found there are other supermarkets selling limelons, and you can get them cheaper elsewhere.
Sainsbury's is selling one for £2.50 while Morrisons has one for £3.
OTHER M&S NEWS
M&S said this week it will dish out treats to customers after a cyber attack devastated its systems leaving some services down for weeks.
The retailer said over 1.8million customers will receive birthday gifts this month, including those who missed out in May and June.
Its Sparks loyalty scheme is also fully back online, it has confirmed.
The retailer said staff can enjoy 30% off for four days across Fashion, Home and Beauty products as well - 10% higher than the standard 20% discount.
It comes as the retailer tries to recover from the cyber incident which cost it £300million in lost profits and left it crippled.
Online shopping has since returned across England, Scotland and Wales, but Northern Irish customers are still waiting for an update.
Last week, three teenagers and a woman were arrested in the UK as part of an investigation into the attacks.
They have since been released on bail.
M&S also recently announced it is increasing the number of products sold in larger family packs across its aisles.

Ryanair refused to refund my dead husband's £800 flights & said he would need to complain from beyond the grave

Devastated Yvonne described the ordeal as 'upsetting and trivial' LEFT IN TEARS Ryanair refused to refund my dead husband's £800 flights & said he would need to complain from beyond the grave Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WIDOW was left in tears when Ryanair refused to refund her dead hubby's £827 flights - telling her he needed to complain from beyond the grave. Yvonne Shields' husband Colin Shields booked his flights to Venice, Italy, last year and was meant to fly out in September to represent Scotland at a powerchair football match. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 Colin was tetraplegic after he had an accident 14 years ago Credit: Kennedy News 4 Yvonne said she was told she could not get a refund for the carers' tickets Credit: Kennedy News 4 Ryanair have since apologised for the ordeal Credit: Kennedy News Colin, 43, was tetraplegic after he had an accident 14 years ago and needed two essential carers to accompany him on the flight, whose tickets he paid for. But when Colin tragically passed away due to brain bleed in April 2025, Yvonne contacted Ryanair customer support to notify them and request a refund. The 44-year-old said she was told she could not get a refund for the carers' tickets as it was against Ryanair's policy despite Colin having paid for them. She was promised a refund of only £258 for his ticket but claims she has not even received that either. When Yvonne got back in touch to chase the refund, she was reportedly told they could not disclose any information unless they speak to the original booker - despite being informed the 'booker is dead'. The mum said she even provided Ryanair with Colin's death certificate and proof that she is the will executor, but they still refused to speak with her and ended the chat. Ryanair have since apologised for the ordeal and said that she was 'regrettably incorrectly advised wrongly' by their customer service agent. Yvonne, from Glasgow, said: "He was captain of the Scottish power football team and they were playing against other national teams. "He is tetraplegic so he couldn't go by himself and he had two essential carers. He often travelled with carers. "He booked them through a company, it's not like it's personal carers, we don't know these people. He paid for their tickets too, it was all through him. Shocking moment Ryanair passenger sobs & hits door after being stopped from boarding as her 'hand luggage was too big' "Colin passed on April 12th and I contacted them in April. I filled out the form to get a refund for Colin and the caters. They authorised part of the refund but they didn't send it. "I sent the death certificate and proof I am the will executor. They said a refund would come in the next 24-48 hours. "They said their policy is to refund only Colin's ticket, not the carers'. But I've not had it, there's nothing. "I emailed them to say I haven't received the refund and it's been over 48 hours. They said that they have to speak with the booker. 4 Devastated Yvonne described the dispute as 'upsetting and trivial' Credit: Kennedy News "My sister contacted them and said the booker is dead. It's so upsetting and trivial. I told them back in April that he passed so there should be no reason why they can't refund it. "I can't get in contact with these carers because the contract ended, but they didn't pay for the tickets, Colin paid for the tickets. "They said 'I can't disclose any information with someone not tied to the booking', even though they were discussing it with me in the past. "They said 'we would need the passengers to contact us to process', but I don't have passengers to contact. "They said there's nothing else we can help you with and ended the chat." Yvonne said the lack of empathy and understanding from Ryanair is frustrating and caused her to burst into tears. The mum-of-two said it is a lot for her to deal with while also handling grief and feels like she is 'bashing her head on a brick wall.' Yvonne said: "I burst into tears because I have quite a lot to deal with right now since Colin passed. It's a lot. "It's not like you're getting this clean slate to start again. I constantly have to deal with things. "I've got two kids as well, 14 and 17, and it's dealing with their emotions as well. "The fact they're not even giving me the money back is infuriating. It's like bashing your head on a brick wall. They're trying to speak to someone that isn't here, it's an unreasonable request. "It's frustrating, it's devastating, you feel like you're nothing. We've dealt with so much because of his disability. Things are always that little bit tougher, harder." Colin was paralysed from the chest down after an accident in 2010 and developed a condition called autonomic dysreflexia, which meant his blood pressure could soar and cause a stroke if not treated - which is what led to his brain bleed. Yvonne said: "Colin had an accident 14 years ago, a month before our youngest was born. It's just constant battling and I feel tired, I feel drained, sometimes I want to just ignore it but my sister says 'you're not ignoring this, they stole from you.' "It's the lack of empathy, lack of understanding, it's not a box-standard person going on a flight, it's a disabled person. "If you had a family member who died, surely you would think it's all cancelled." A Ryanair spokesperson said: "Mr Shields was due to travel from Edinburgh to Venice on 16 Sep' 25 but passed away prior to this flight. "Mrs Shields attempted to submit a refund request (26 Apr) and was advised to submit a death cert and proof of executorship. "On 30 Jun, Mrs Shields was informed that a refund (£257.58) was issued and was regrettably incorrectly advised by a customer service agent who wrongly believed that the other two passengers on the booking were not entitled to a refund. "Our Customer Service Department would be happy to further assist this passenger to correct this customer service agent's error and assist this passenger with their refund." Ryanair admitted that the customer service agent also incorrectly informed Yvonne that the refund of £257.58 would be sent to her husband's Ryanair wallet, instead of the card used to pay for the booking.

At the same time, more shoppers are going online, and with the cost-of-living crisis biting, people have less cash to spend. The result? Shops are closing, and high streets are starting to suffer. If you want to know which stores are shutting soon, we've got the full list right here. Apple Apple will close its two-floor Bristol city centre store in Cabot Circus on August 9, 2025 after 15 years. The closure comes as part of a redevelopment plan for Cabot Circus, which will replace the store with new flexible workspaces and public areas. GAME GAME is closing several UK stores this summer as part of a wider restructuring by parent company Frasers Group. Upcoming closures include Festival Place in Basingstoke on August 10, Southend High Street later in August, and Chatham in September. The Nottingham Victoria Centre store closed in July. Stores are running 20% off clearance sales ahead of closure. BrewDog to close TEN pubs across UK as staff set to be axed Hobbycraft As part of a major restructuring, arts and crafts retailer Hobbycraft will close three stores in early August 2025. The affected locations are Bromborough, Southport, and Stratford Upon Avon. The closures follow a strategic review aimed at reshaping the business. Monki Monki, owned by H&M, is closing its Glasgow store in Buchanan Galleries in August. The retailer has already shuttered branches in Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, and London earlier this year. The online store has also closed, with the brand being integrated into H&M's Weekday line. One remaining Monki store in Bristol remains open but will either close later this year or be transformed into a new concept. New Look New Look is continuing its wave of store closures, with a branch in Neath, Wales, set to close imminently on August 6, 2025. This follows a string of 11 closures already this year, including sites in Hamilton, Birmingham, Corby, Devizes, and others across England, Scotland, and Wales. The high street stalwart has warned that nearly 100 of its 364 UK stores could be at risk when leases expire, amid ongoing cost pressures such as the National Insurance hikes earlier this year. Last year, New Look reported sales of £769million. Managing director Barry Williams called the closures regrettable but necessary to secure thousands of jobs and hundreds of stores. River Island River Island is facing serious financial trouble and could run out of money by August 2025 if creditors and landlords do not approve a rescue plan. Despite these challenges, River Island stores and its online site remain open as usual. The retailer reported a £33.2million pre-tax loss for 2023, with sales falling 19% in the following year. Several stores have already closed this year, including locations in Corby, Banbury, and Chesterfield. Superdrug Superdrug is set to close two more stores this summer, adding to a string of recent closures. The Grantham branch in Lincolnshire will shut on August 9, followed by the Redruth store in Cornwall closing on August 16. The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) The Original Factory Shop, with 178 stores, continues to close locations amid restructuring.
