Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The tweaks in teaching styles in the 2025-26 academic calendar include allocation of subjects in the timetable based on the difficulty levels. After a relatively difficult subject, an easier subject is recommended for students to understand concepts easily. "As far as possible, main subjects should be taught in the first six periods," the academic calendar says. To encourage reading, library sessions have been made compulsory for every student every week. In govt senior secondary schools, clubs such as Child Rights Club, Forest and Environment Club, Science Club, Road Safety Club, and Tourism Club, and similar activities have been made compulsorily. For tobacco control, a tobacco monitor will also be appointed in every class. Under the school-based assessment scheme of RBSE, "it will be compulsory for every student to participate in one of the literary and cultural activities run in the school for class 9 and 10." To spread awareness about child rights and protection, Bal Sabhas will be conducted to inform children of the ill effects of child marriage, and information related to road safety, among other things. A cleanliness fortnight will also be observed from Sept 1-15 for all classes. Under the state's Anaemia Free Rajasthan programme, all Tuesdays will be celebrated as Shakti Diwas, an initiative to distribute iron and folic acid pills to students.
