Man arrested on suspicion of having imitation gun after 'disturbance'
Officers were called to reports of a "disturbance" on Barrow Bridge Road at just after 7pm.
Police have now confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm and remains in custody.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Barrow Bridge Road in Bolton at 7.07pm last night, Thursday, July 31.

"A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm. He remains in custody."
Both police and ambulance services were called to the scene last night, near to the Moss Bank Park car park.
The ambulance left the scene just after 9pm and police around 30 minutes later.

Ruben appeared in court on Saturday, Aug. 2, and was ordered to remain in custody until his next hearing on Aug. 29, according to The Guardian. The man was charged with three counts of willfully assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting, abandoning or exposing children in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to health, per The Guardian. Prosecutor Janine McKinney said in a statement obtained by the BBC that the incident "has been an extremely upsetting and shocking moment for the community, and especially for the children and parents most directly affected." CBS News reported that the lodge is owned by Christian charity Braithwaite Gospel Trust. Police said in their statement that "the owners and operators of Stathern Lodge are independent from those people who use or hire the lodge and are not connected to the incident." Fan plunges to death at Oasis gig in London
A man has fallen to his death during an Oasis concert at London's Wembley Stadium. The Metropolitan Police said officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person just before 10.30pm on Saturday night. They confirmed that a man in his 40s was found "with injuries consistent with a fall". He was pronounced dead at the scene. The BBC reported that the man fell from an upper tier at the end of the concert. The London Telegraph cited a witness describing seeing what she thought was a coat falling from above her, only to realise with horror that it was a person. "It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don't know how on Earth it happened. It was heartbreaking. He was only young." Police said they believed "a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage". In a statement, Oasis said they were: "Shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan" and offered "sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved". Saturday's concert was the fourth of seven planned shows at Wembley. Stadium management said Sunday's gig would go ahead as planned.

Emergency services flood street after car engulfed by flames
Fire crews are battling a dramatic car fire in Tameside tonight. Emergency services are currently in attendance on Railway Street in Dukinfield. Pictures and videos from the scene showed a car completely engulfed by flames.
