Miley Cyrus Teases Spotify Billions Club Live Show in Paris (And a Concert Film Is Coming, Too)

Yahoo11-06-2025

Miley Cyrus is headed to Paris for a very special concert celebrating some of her biggest hits, with the pop star teasing Wednesday (June 11) that she'll be performing at Spotify's next Billions Club Live concert later this month.
The news comes via X, on which the streaming giant first posted a lyric to Cyrus' 'End of the World' — 'Let's go to Paris, I don't care if we get lost in the scene' — and added, '@MileyCyrus, you coming?'

The singer then reposted the message and wrote: 'I'll meet you there. Next week. #BillionsClubLive.'
Billions Club Live was introduced last December, with The Weeknd playing the first show in the series for about 2,000 people in Los Angeles to celebrate his long roster of songs that have surpassed a billion Spotify streams. The crowd was made up of fans selected for being in the 'Blinding Lights' artist's top percentage of listeners on the music service.
Cyrus has several songs that have reached the ten-digit milestone, including 'Wrecking Ball,' 'We Can't Stop,' 'Angels Like You' and 'Party in the U.S.A.'
The Spotify concert comes on the heels of her new album Something Beautiful, which dropped May 30 and debuted this week at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The LP marks her first full-length since 2023's Endless Summer Vacation, which spawned eight-week Billboard Hot 100-topper 'Flowers' — a song that has garnered more than 2 billion streams on the platform, meaning fans in Paris can almost definitely expect that she'll perform it during her Billions Club Live show.
Spotify confirmed to Billboard that this Billions Club Live show will be filmed and released as a concert film later this summer.
The upcoming show will be especially meaningful as Cyrus' live performances are few and far between these days. When she does perform, it's usually in an intimate setting — such as the Chateau Marmont, where she recently hosted a Something Beautiful listening party. In 2023, the Hannah Montana alum announced that she had no intention of touring for the foreseeable future.
While promoting Something Beautiful on Apple Music 1 in May, Cyrus elaborated on her decision to skip touring, noting that staying off the road is best for her sobriety and protecting her vocal cords.

Eminem's Timeless Classic Becomes A Top 10 Bestseller

Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' reenters the Rap Digital Song Sales chart at No. 8 and the R&B/Hip-Hop ... More Digital Song Sales list at No. 14, nearing 500 weeks on both. Eminem at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards held at UBS Arena September 11, 2024 in in Elmont, New York. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Billboard via Getty Images) Billboard via Getty Images Eminem's most recent albums and singles have all faded from the Billboard charts. These days, the rapper remains on the weekly rankings thanks solely to some of his decades-old compositions. As Americans continue to buy and stream some of the hip-hop superstar's classics, one track in particular reasserts itself as his most successful and becomes a proper bestseller yet again. "Lose Yourself" returns to a pair of Billboard rankings this frame, breaking back onto both the Rap Digital Song Sales and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tallies. It reenters those lists at Nos. 8 and 14, respectively. It wouldn't be unusual for a musician as celebrated as Eminem to score one or two hits in the United States, even with decades-old tunes. But what is notable is that "Lose Yourself" remains a top 10 bestseller — albeit only on a genre-specific roster. "Lose Yourself" is approaching 500 weeks on both of the charts on which it currently appears. If it can hold on for another month on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally, it will hit that milestone. While it still has several dozen more frames to go on the broader R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, it seems likely that it will eventually make it to that landmark figure as well. Amazingly, despite the fact that "Lose Yourself" has spent nearly 500 spans on both charts, it has yet to reach No. 1 on either of them. Eminem's smash has stalled in the runner-up space on both sales lists, coming frustratingly close to adding to his growing roster of champions on more than one occasion. Eminem's Oscar-Winning Smash Eminem released "Lose Yourself" in October 2002. The song served as the lead single from the 8 Mile soundtrack. The tune was a huge commercial success, ruling the Hot 100 for 12 consecutive frames and dominating multiple other rankings around the world. In addition to becoming yet another hit for the rapper, "Lose Yourself" also won Eminem several Grammy Awards and even the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first rapper to snag that prize.

Metallica's Album Jumps Nearly 7,000% In Sales

Redferns Metallica recently re-released its album Load, offering a super deluxe edition to fans who just can't get enough of the band's music. The project was expanded to include previously unreleased demos and live recordings, and even a book for those who opted for the physical version. Sales of the decades-old collection skyrocketed following the exciting drop, turning it into a Billboard chart success yet again. Load Rises 6,900% in Sales In the past tracking period in the United States, Load sold 12,100 copies (according to Luminate), and that sum marks a dramatic increase from the period before. In the prior week, Load sold only a little less than 200 copies, just before Metallica re-released it. That growth represents a surge of a little more than 6,900% from one frame to the next. That's the kind of spike that can usually only be experienced when a group delivers something exciting – such as a new deluxe version of an album – or a major news event unfolds, like the passing of a musician. 100 Weeks as a Bestseller That uptick in pure purchases turns Load into a bestseller once again on multiple tallies. This week, the set reenters the Top Album Sales chart at No. 4. It's a special frame on that ranking, as Load has now spent 100 weeks as one of the top-selling titles in America. Load's New All-Time Peak At the same time, Metallica's project breaks back onto the Vinyl Albums roster at No. 12. Load has only ever appeared on that wax-focused ranking once before, and No. 12 now stands as its all-time peak. Load Debuts on Multiple Billboard Charts Metallica also debuts Load on four other rankings, ones that are not focused entirely on purchases. The 1996 project hits, for the first time, the Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 4), Top Alternative Albums (No. 6), Top Rock Albums (No. 13), and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts (No. 14). Metallica Returns its Classic to the Billboard 200 Load is also back on the Billboard 200, thanks almost exclusively to all those thousands of sales. Metallica's album moved 14,200 equivalent units, with only about 2,000 of those coming from any type of consumption that wasn't fans buying the full project.
