I Found The Worst Tesla Cybertruck

Yahoo22-03-2025
The other evening as I was on my daily hot girl walk I witnessed a Tesla Cybertruck honk at and swerve around a person on a bicycle to avoid striking them as it sped off onto a side street. Now, that's not a rare sight for me. I sadly see tons of Cybertrucks every day in Los Angeles, and the vast majority of them are driven like a-holes, so normally I'd barely notice when something like this happens. This moment was different, though. As you can see from the photo, the Cybertruck had a freakin' Nyan Cat wrap on it.
"I thought we left Nyan Cat back in 2011," I can hear you saying, and I thought so too. I'll even concede that maybe you thought Nyan Cat was still funny and cute in, like, 2016. We're in 2025 now, though, and this sh*t is just bleak. If you're still stuck in the land of epic memes, you need help. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised — Elon Musk is the king of using (and misusing) memes long after their popularity peak, so of course Cybertruck owners are as well. No one loves the tilted crying laughing emoji more than Tesla people.
Getting hit by any Cybertruck would suck, especially if any of its stainless-steel body panels are falling off, but getting hit by a Cybertruck with Nyan Cat plastered on it? That's just embarrassing.

Tesla's retro-futuristic diner officially opens as Elon Musk hints at more locations

The Tesla Diner & Drive-In, a long-awaited and hyped facility that combines retro nostalgia and futurism with the automaker's fast-charging network, officially opened at 4:20 p.m. Monday in Hollywood, California. The Tesla Diner & Drive-In is technically a place for Tesla drivers to charge their EVs and maybe get hamburger, hot dog, or other classic diner menu items (which Eater shared in full). The diner, which per reporting from Not a Tesla App is loaded with Tesla-branded merchandise, an Optimus robot, and two 45-foot LED movie screens, is clearly hoping to attract more than just Tesla owners. It's too early to tell if the diner, which boasts 80 v4 Superchargers stalls and a drive-in movie theater that syncs with speakers inside a driver's Tesla, will become an enduring fixture of Hollywood. The long lines of people who queued up Monday morning suggests the diner will attract crowds for awhile. Even before its doors officially opened, Tesla CEO Elon Musk mused about establishing more of the diners globally. 'If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, @Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes,' Musk posted on X.

Rivian upgrades navigation with Google Maps for R1S and R1T

Fresh off major upgrades to its R1S SUV and R1T pickup, Rivian is now set to launch a software update of its onboard navigation system to include Google Maps data — both for the new vehicles it's producing and its existing customer cars. This isn't simply Google Maps like the app on your phone, however. Leveraging Google's Automotive SDK, Rivian has, in effect, overlaid its existing navigation experience over that of Google Maps, taking advantage of the internet giant's superior "routing, estimated time of arrivals, traffic updates, search capabilities and satellite imagery," as Rivian put it, in order to further augment its own in-house "EV-friendly navigation features." Automotive technology: Apple CarPlay Ultra faces automaker backlash over data and dashboard control In other words, Rivian's navigation system will now blend Google's superior mapping capabilities with its proprietary charging information, including estimated range and battery capacity remaining at your destination, route planning, real-time charging info and more. In addition, Rivian skins the whole interface in its own design, a new version of which will also debut with the Google Maps update. Tesla prices in 2025: From $36K to $250K, here's what you'll actually pay Even better, Rivian says the update will extend to its Rivian Mobile App (a 2025 MotorTrend Best Tech award winner), which benefits from Google-like photos and descriptions of searched destinations, as well as satellite map views and real-time traffic data. As before, users can send trips and navigation destinations from the app to their Rivians, and now they'll be able to use the "share" function via Google Maps to do the same. The rollout of the new Google-augmented system is imminent — Rivian says it'll begin doing so via an over-the-air update for every all-electric R1S SUV and R1T pickup it has sold to date, and it will come already equipped with every new model it sells.
