"Our locations are no less than the others": Actor Kabir Bedi calls for promotion of Indian domestic tourism
Veteran actor Kabir Bedi called for the promotion of tourism in India during his visit to Italy on Thursday. The actor lauded India's natural diversity and said that it has helped increase domestic tourism in the nation.

The 'Blue' actor lauded India's natural diversity and said that it has helped increase domestic tourism in the nation.
While talking to ANI, the actor said, "Indian tourism should be promoted because our locations are no less than the others. We have stunning scenes - Himalayas, forests, deserts, beaches, buildings and forts. What do we not have in India! People used to go abroad for vacations but now domestic tourism has increased. We want people from outside to visit India and admire our locations. We have come here to bring the message to Italy that India is a wonderful place and you must come there.
"
The actor also recalled his Italian mini-series, 'Sandokan,' in which he played the titular role. He mentioned that several Italian series have been shot in India because of its natural diversity and amazing locations.
"In my series 'Sandokan', India was shown. Several series of Italy were shot in India and I too was a part of it. They showed amazing locations. It is important to remind people that we do have those locations as well as new locations," said Bedi.
The actor also called for more facilities to increase tourism in India.
"Infrastructure that should be built there, it is good if they are built because if people have to reach there and reside there and enjoy, the accommodation should be good. The goal of the Italy-India meeting was to bring India's message here that not only for investment but (come to India) even as a tourism destination, as a place where people can go and admire the culture," added

'A middle path must be found where all good films get their due' Reflecting on the current pan-Indian trend, she observes, 'This is a concept that has worked like magic, but at the same time, it has created a distance between local films and what you term as 'pan-India films.' So, you're either a superstar or you're a nobody. To be a pan-India film, the project needs to be of a certain scale. And smaller films never get a chance to be pitted in this scenario. It's just not fair. Aachar and Co was such a wonderful film. But it didn't get the chance to be appreciated on a larger platform because it wasn't a pan-India film. Such films also need recognition. There had to be an amalgamation of the bigger films that go the whole distance across the nation and local films that stay in the region - a middle path must be found where all good films get their due,' says Shanvi.

Ghai shared an old photo from an award ceremony with the actor, along with an emotional note that quickly caught the attention of fans online. In the photo, Ghai and Irrfan can be seen smiling. Ghai, who worked with Irrfan in the film 'Right Yaa Wrong,' took to his Instagram account to share a post praising him not just as an actor but as someone who deeply understood the art of storytelling. He wrote, 'I have always been more in admiration of good and great actors than just cosmetic stars of any time. Good actors enhance storytelling--stars play stars to glitter the film. I was more happy to receive compliments from Irrfan than an award at an award function. So, I remember this picture vividly. We miss you, Irrfan.' The legendary Indian actor made his debut with the Oscar-nominated Hindi film Salaam Bombay! and went on to star in some of the most critically acclaimed films in India like Life in a...
