Next's 'flattering' £28 lightweight summer dress is 'ideal for holiday'
Next customers are lavishing praise on a "lovely" summer dress that's become a hit online. The brand, renowned for its trendy clothing and accessories, might just have a new crowd-pleaser on its hands.
The sought-after Midi Slip Summer Dress is retailing for £28. It comes in a variety of patterns including a bold pink and orange combo, blue tie-dye, as well as black/green and black/animal prints.
The coveted dress is available in both regular and petite lengths, catering to sizes six through 22. However, eager buyers should act fast, as some sizes are selling out quickly.
Next advises that the fitting runs slightly smaller than standard sizing, an important consideration for online shoppers. The dress boasts a midi cut, adjustable straps for perfect fit, and is notably easy to care for – just toss it in the washing machine.
The full product description states: "The perfect dress for sunny holidays or warm weather dressing, this flattering midi-length dress has a lightweight slip design, made from a soft fabric with adjustable shoulder straps and a split side hem," reports the Mirror.

Warning for women being lured to Dubai 'Porta-Potty' parties with £3k gifts
The events, allegedly orchestrated by wealthy men, target young models and social media influencers. Women visiting Dubai has been warned against being lured to "Porta-Potty" parties with surprise gifts of up to £3,000. The events, allegedly orchestrated by wealthy men, target young models and social media influencers with promises of large sums of money, designer gifts, and luxury hotel stays. However, the reality behind the opulence is far more sinister, involving reports of extreme sexual humiliation and physical abuse. Shockingly, the women involved in these parties could even find themselves prosecuted. Radha Stirling, CEO of Detained in Dubai, has warned that women involved in these parties - even against their will - could face charges of adultery or indecency, especially if married men are present. As reported in the Mirror, she said: "Sex outside marriage has been legalised in Dubai, but organisers have exploited this. Women think they're attending a private party - instead, they're thrown into horrific, dangerous situations with real legal risk." Awareness was raised about the matter after an influencer shared on TikTok that a stranger she met at the gym had showered her with expensive gifts - raising questions about the true cost of such apparent generosity. Jade, who goes by @outplayedbyjade online, is originally from France but travelled to Dubai as she documented her trip online. In the video, she explained how she had been leaving the gym when workers approached her with a gift from someone she had met on the treadmill. She said: "I didn't think much of it." A worker handed her a bouquet of flowers and chocolate from the man she had struck up a conversation with. Flattered, she texted the number he had left with the gift to thank him, after which she then received a call from a shop assistant at the luxury jewellery designer store Van Cleef & Arpels. She went on: "I'm a very curious girl, so I make my way over to the shop. This assistant pulls out a beautiful bracelet and a matching necklace." All together, the gifts were worth around £3,000. While Jade was over the moon with her gifts, fans were quick to warn the influencer that the man was a "professional" and to "be careful" amid reports of men recruiting women for " Porta-Parties" in Dubai. An alleged victim is Maria Kovalchuk, a 20-year-old Ukrainian adult model, who was reportedly left for dead after attending one of these events. The young woman vanished after telling her mother she'd been invited to stay overnight with two men claiming to be modelling agents. She never made her flight to Thailand. Ten days later, on March 19, she was found dumped at the roadside i n Dubai, suffering from a shattered spine, broken limbs, and severe internal injuries. Maria has undergone multiple surgeries, and her family, now at her bedside, are desperate for answers. It's thought she is still recovering from her injuries. Dubai Police confirmed that Maria is receiving medical care, but claimed she 'entered a restricted construction site alone and fell from a height'. A statement many find hard to accept, given the disturbing rumours swirling around her disappearance. Russian lawyer Katya Gordon, who has followed the case closely, bluntly alleged: "Model Maria Kovalchuk was found dying on the side of the road in the UAE after a party. The scandal with the Porta Potty parties has been raging for over a year." Gordon and others allege that Maria may have been forced to take part in a sex act involving human faeces - a central theme of these " Porta-Potty" events, where humiliation and abuse are part of the package. These parties reportedly involve women being paid vast sums of money to perform grotesque acts involving bodily fluids, degradation and pain. Viral videos have helped expose this shadowy world, but the abuse is largely hidden by Dubai's shiny reputation and strict censorship laws. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! With the rise of "Porta-Potty" stories, experts have warned of red flags to watch out for when travelling to Dubai: Avoid entering private hotel rooms, villas, or yachts with strangers, especially late at night. Understand the legal risks: Dubai has strict laws, and foreign women can still be charged with public indecency, adultery or prostitution, even if coerced. Never agree to travel alone to private parties or accept all-expenses-paid trips without vetting the in regularly with friends or family, and always share your location. Beware of unverified agents offering large sums of money for vague modelling work. Maria's mother told Ukrainian media: "She has no documents, no phone, nothing. She's had three operations. She can't speak. We were told she went to a party, but the promoter claims he never saw her. We're terrified of what really happened."

Oasis' Liam reacts as fan with MS emotional over Wembley tickets surprise
Liam Gallagher, who like his brother Noel Gallagher, is preparing to embark on the Oasis Live '25 Tour, has reacted to footage of a fan being surprised with Wembley Stadium tickets An Oasis fan who fronted a band that played their songs before being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis has been surprised with tickets for one of their reunion gigs. The footage has even prompted reaction from Liam Gallagher. Liam, 52, and his brother Noel Gallagher, 58, will launch the Oasis Live '25 Tour in Cardiff later this week. Oasis will then perform at other venues including Wembley Stadium in London, playing five night there in the coming weeks, before returning for two additional dates in September. Among those preparing to visit the stadium is Gianfranco, 40, who was surprised with tickets by pals for his birthday. It's been shared that the fan, said to have once fronted a band that played Oasis songs, will be coming over from Italy. Footage posted on social media shows the moment that Gianfranco received the news. He's seen reacting as he's presented with a printed confirmation of the tickets, with him appearing to be in disbelief whilst surrounded by pals. Oasis fan group Cast No Shadow shared the video and an accompanying message on Instagram yesterday. They wrote: "A follower of mine sent in this story which I am going to exclusively share. It's one of the best things you'll ever see guys. His dream is to make sure Liam Gallagher sees this so let's get tagging @liamgallagher in the comments!!!! A Dream 40 Years in the Making." In an apparent message from Gianfranco's pals, the post continued: "For our best mate Gianfranco, this isn't just a gig - it's the soundtrack of his life. Living with Multiple Sclerosis, he's faced more than his share of struggles. But through every high and low, Oasis has always been there. "For his 40th birthday, we surprised him with tickets to Wembley, July 26th. Coming all the way from Italy, this is a dream come true. Years ago, before his illness, Gianfranco fronted a band with friends - playing Oasis songs. Those same friends will now stand with him, singing them together, one more time. "He says, 'This will be the greatest joy of my life.' If this somehow reaches Liam, all we ask is - just know Gianfranco is there that night. A hello from the stage would mean the world. Thank you, Oasis. Thank you, Liam. This means more than you'll ever know." Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! It read: "Hi, I'm Gianfranco, I wanted to write you a message because what's happening has flooded my heart with joy. I don't know what will happen, if Liam will ever watch this video, but you, you have been a hurricane of love, I would like to hug you all. "In 2016 I discovered I had multiple sclerosis which ruined all my plans, it took everything it wanted, except my dreams. Life has taken a lot from me, but it has given me brothers and sisters who were not born to my parents: my wonderful friends, a gift. All of us, Oasis fans, are a family. With love, Gianfranco." The video has since been shared on X by fan page @OasisMania, which prompted reaction from Liam this morning. BBC Strictly's Anton Du Beke says Bruce Forsyth 'would've been furious' at call
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke has revealed that the late Bruce Forsyth would have been incensed by a decision made after his passing. In an earlier episode of the My Time Capsule podcast, Anton fondly recalled a memorable show at the London Palladium, a venue he considers the "home of Brucie". Looking back on the sad loss of his idol Bruce in August 2017 at the age of 89, Anton mentioned that his ashes were laid to rest beneath the Palladium's stage, accompanied by a commemorative blue plaque. Describing the exact location of Brucie's final resting place, Anton shared: "So, if you're looking out into the auditorium from the stage, right directly below there, there's obviously a wall there holding the whole place up. But in that wall, they've buried Brucie's ashes, and there's a plaque underneath, 'Here are the ashes...'". Anton continued, noting that comedy legend Des O'Connor has since joined Brucie, with his own tribute nearby. He believes Des holds the record for the most performances at the Palladium, and hinted that Julian Clary is aiming to surpass this feat, saying: "To the left now of Brucie is the wonderful Des O'Connor, who's done more shows, I think, at the Palladium than anybody else. "I think Julian Clary is hoping to take that crown soon, but I think Des O'Connor has done more shows at the Palladium than anybody else. Now, I know that Brucie would have been furious about this because Brucie was never a double act. He was always a single act, so I know Brucie would have been furious about this," reports the Mirror. Upon his passing, his manager Ian Wilson stated he died "peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Wilnelia and all his children". The entertainment industry was awash with tributes for Brucie following his death, with co-host Tess Daly admitting she was "heartbroken" over the loss of the man who became the UK's highest-paid TV star. A memorial plaque commemorates Sir Bruce's career, noting that he first presented Sunday Night At The London Palladium back in 1958 and performed his last show in 2015. It acknowledges his status as "without question the UK's greatest entertainer". The plaque also reads: "He rests in peace within the sound of music, laughter and dancing... exactly where he would want to be." Sir Bruce retired from hosting Strictly in 2014, after a decade that saw him present from the inaugural episode of the show in 2004. He was known for fronting popular programmes such as Play Your Cards Right and The Price Is Right. Brucie, who passed the Strictly baton to Claudia Winkleman, said at the time: "After 10 wonderful years and 11 series, I believe it is now the right time to step down from the rigours of presenting the Strictly live shows."
