Red Bull Boss Picks Max Verstappen's Replacement Amid Mercedes Rumors
Red Bull boss Christian Horner may have just dropped the most unexpected name yet in Formula 1's swirling driver market drama. With Max Verstappen's future at Red Bull still the hottest topic in the paddock, especially as Mercedes continue to circle, Horner was asked directly if he had a 'Plan B' in case the reigning champion decides to jump ship.

His response? A cheeky point at McLaren CEO Zak Brown, standing right next to him, before blurting out: 'Oscar Piastri.'
The moment, caught driving a media scrum at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, set social media buzzing.
Of course, Horner was joking, at least on the surface. But in a season where Verstappen's rumored exit clauses and Mercedes' aggressive interest are fuelling non-stop headlines, even tongue-in-cheek comments hit differently.

Piastri, currently locked in with McLaren, has emerged as one of the grid's most impressive young stars. The 24-year-old Australian sits first in the championship heading into Silverstone, just ahead of teammate Lando Norris, and has proven he's more than ready to fight for the title.

Meanwhile, Verstappen's own contract saga rumbles on. Despite being signed at Red Bull through 2028, performance-related clauses have left the door cracked open for Mercedes boss Toto Wolff, especially if Verstappen were to slip outside the top four by the summer break.
For now, Horner insists there's 'no reason to worry,' reiterating that Verstappen is committed to Red Bull. Still, his playful nidge at Brown shows how alive the intrigue truly is.
In a silly season already overflowing with twists, even offhand jokes keep the rumor mill roaring.

How to watch Catterall vs Eubank: TV channel and live stream
Jack Catterall aims to reignite his world title ambitions this Saturday as he squares off against Harlem Eubank at the AO Arena in Manchester. Catterall is looking to rebound from a surprise split-decision loss to Arnold Barboza Jr in February, only the second defeat of his career. Undefeated American Arnold Barboza narrowly claimed victory in a closely-contested bout to capture the WBO interim title, with several rounds proving tough to judge. Two judges scored the bout 115-113 to Barboza, while the third had the same outcome for the home favourite, Catterall, in Manchester. The setback temporarily derailed his pursuit of a world title, forcing him to reset his path to the top. Now, as he begins that climb once more, he can ill afford to overlook the threat posed by Eubank. Eubank, the unbeaten cousin of Chris Eubank Jr, boasts a perfect 21-0 record heading into this weekend's clash. He could also have the support of his legendary uncle, Chris Eubank Sr, ringside for the occasion. Also featuring on the card is former IBF super-featherweight champion Joe Cordina, who lost his title via TKO to Anthony Cacace in May 2024 and has since moved up to lightweight. TV channel and live stream: The event is being shown live on DAZN, with coverage of the prelims beginning at 5pm and the main card from 7pm.

'In the past we might have lost that game' - McDowall on Maori All Blacks win
Stand-in captain Stafford McDowall believes Scotland "might have lost that game" in the past, as his side held on for a famous victory over a relentless Maori All Blacks side. The Scots had a 17-point lead at one stage in the second-half but saw that gap close to just three points by the full-time whistle. Advertisement "Two teams chucking it all at each other for 80 minutes," was how McDowall described it. "You could see at the end, just from all the bodies. "I'm just massively proud of the shift from the boys to dig in at the end against a real good team." The Maoris had the visitors camped on their own line with the clock dead, but a huge defensive effort from Scotland turned the ball over and won the game. "We talked at half time that we'd put ourselves in a good position to lead but we knew the Maoris would come back and chuck everything at us," McDowall added. "They did that and we probably lost control for 20 minutes, and in the past we might have lost that game but proud of the boys for digging in and getting the job done." Advertisement The Glasgow Warriors centre, 27, skippered in the absence of tour captain Rory Darge who was rested before games against Fiji and Samoa. "We looked at this first game as an opportunity to launch this tour off to a good start. We're really proud of the effort of the boys, but also it's just a privilege to play here against this boys in front of a packed crowd."

'Only thing I can say' – Enzo Maresca makes interesting comment when asked about Kudus
Enzo Maresca refused to comment on speculation about Mohammed Kudus, but admitted he has known the attacker since his Ajax days. Chelsea have already been busy this summer, and have signed Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, with more new faces expected to follow. Advertisement The Blues haven't ruled out another attacker arriving, and are also thought to be in the market for a centre back to strengthen Maresca's squad ahead of next season. Maresca comments on Kudus interest It's been reported Chelsea want as many as nine attacking options in their squad next season, and the attack has undergone somewhat of a revamp this summer. However, if another attacker is to arrive it's likely one of the current crop will have to leave, with both Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix expected to depart. The most likely candidate at this stage is Noni Madueke, and the England international is attracting interest from Arsenal. Kudus is expected to leave West Ham this summer. (Photo by) Advertisement Chelsea are interested in West Ham forward Kudus, and have been offered the opportunity to sign the Ghana international. The Blues tried to offer players as part of the deal, but West Ham want cash and are thought to be looking at around £60m. Maresca was asked about Kudus after Chelsea's 2-1 win against Palmeiras, but refused to be drawn on speculation linking the 24-year-old with a move to Stamford Bridge. 'Mohammed is a West Ham player, he is not our player so I can't say nothing. Only thing I can say is I know Kudus since Ajax,' he said as cited on Madueke could leave If Kudus is to arrive then it's likely Madueke's time at Stamford Bridge could be over, and the 23-year-old is attracting interest from Arsenal.
