Signature Alliance looks to raise RM161.2mil from IPO
Its IPO entails the issuance of 260 million new shares priced at 62 sen a piece, representing 26 per cent of its enlarged share capital.
At 62 sen, Signature Alliance's market capitalisation is projected to be RM620 million.
Of the total proceeds, the company plans to use RM88 million for a new corporate office and production facility in Selangor to increase automation and enhance project delivery.
A total of RM30.1 million will be used for working capital for its interior fitting-out projects, RM20 million is allocated for expansion of branch offices in Penang and Johor, RM4 million will be utilised for the purchase of additional machinery and the remaining RM7.1 million is for listing expenses.
"With the ongoing growth and expansion of our business, we intend to centralise our offices and production activities for the customisation of carpentry/ joinery parts and integral fixtures as well as manufacturing of wooden furniture to improve the overall efficiency of our production process," said its executive director and group chief executive officer Darren Chang.
For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2024 (FY24), the company's net profit more than tripled to RM40.6 million from RM10.4 million.
This was on higher gross profit and net gain on impairment of financial and contract assets. Its revenue more than doubled to RM386 million from RM173.4 million in FY23.
Signature Alliance is scheduled to be listed on June 5.

Customers can now open a deposit account anytime, anywhere with just RM20, leveraging improved internet connectivity. 'This initiative also cuts down on paperwork and manual processing while expanding our reach beyond physical branches,' he said. 'It saves customers up to 75 percent of their time compared to traditional counter services, which usually take between 30 to 45 minutes.' Agrobank aims to register 1,500 new digital accounts within the next six months. The focus, he said, will be on underserved groups including youth, farmers and those with limited access to banking facilities. To address internet connectivity issues in remote areas, Agrobank has also introduced AgroTouch — a mobile account opening system using iPads connected via Starlink satellite technology. 'This mobile approach ensures inclusivity and personal service. Penang defers water tariff adjustment to July 2026
GEORGE TOWN — Penang has deferred the implementation of the water tariff adjustment under the Tariff Setting Mechanism for the Second Implementation Period by one year to July 1, 2026, said Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. Chow said the deferment will benefit 715,957 water consumers in Penang. He said the new tariff, which was supposed to take effect today, is expected to increase the Penang Water Supply Corporation's revenue by about RM20 million over six months in 2026. The extra revenue will be used for water supply service upgrade projects, the details of which will be announced later, he said in a statement today. 'For the new tariff, the average increase in monthly water bills for 79.88 per cent of the 613,660 domestic (household) consumers in Penang who use up to 35 cubic metres (m³) per month will be between RM0.30 and RM2.55. 'The average increase in water bills for 95.38 per cent of the 98,155 non-domestic (business) consumers in Penang who use up to 200m³ per month will be between RM3.60 and RM35.70 per month,' he said. Yesterday, the media reported that water tariffs for domestic consumers in almost all states in Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan will be raised starting Aug 1, following the gazetting of the new water tariff structure announced by the National Water Services Commission (SPAN). The tariff adjustment involves an average rise of 20 sen per cubic metre, bringing the new rate to RM2.75 compared to RM2.55 previously. However, this adjustment does not involve domestic users in Perak.
