Shah Rukh Khan was not on the poster of his own film, can you guess the movie by looking its iconic poster ?
Instead of Shah Rukh Khan, another actor became the face of the poster. If you are wondering who this actor was and which movie we are talking about, let us tell you that the actor was Armaan Kohli and the movie was Deewana. Not Shah Rukh Khan but This Actor Became The Face Of Deewana's Poster
Released in 1992, Deewana was directed by Raj Kanwar. The movie initially cast Armaan Kohli. However, after some disagreement with the producers, Armaan was replaced by Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from SRK, the movie also featured Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor.
In a chat show, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about the poster of the film. He revealed that it is not him but Armaan who was chosen for the main poster of Deewana.
Shah Rukh Khan Became Famous Because Of…
During a conversation with Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh's show Yaaron Ki Baraat, Sajid asked Shah Rukh what comes to his mind on hearing Armaan Kohli's name? To this, Shah Rukh Khan replied, 'Armaan Kohli is a big reason why I have become a star. Very few people know that my first film that was released was Deewana. I signed it late. It became a big hit and because of that people started liking me a lot.'
Talking about the poster, SRK said, 'That was a very iconic poster, but I am not in that poster. That is Armaan Kohli and Divya Bharti ji. Because at that time, the films did not have that much budget and I had just come, so they thought that they will get a photo taken of it and maybe they also thought that I cannot lift the girl like this, I will fall down and my back will break.'
Today, Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest names in the Bollywood industry and has made fans go gaga for him.

Aamir Khan's GF Gauri Spratt Attends Sitaare Zameen Par Event, Video Goes Viral
Aamir and Gauri have been dating for a while now, and their bond seems to only be getting stronger. Aamir Khan's film Sitaare Zameen Par is making headlines as it has finally released on YouTube. He was seen addressing the media today. But what grabbed our attention was his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, seated gracefully in the audience and listening. The video has gone viral. In the video, shared by Varinder Chawla, we can see Gauri Spratt sitting in the last row and listening to Aamir Khan's lecture. Earlier in July, Aamir Khan opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Gauri Spratt and let's just say, it's getting serious. The Bollywood superstar has finally confirmed what many fans had been speculating for a while now: Aamir is head over heels and fully committed. Watch the viral video: When asked whether wedding bells were on the horizon with Gauri, he said with a warm smile, 'Well, Gauri and I are really serious about each other and we are in a very committed space. We are, you know, we are partners. We are together." 'Marriage is something… I mean, in my heart, I'm already married to her. So whether we formalise it or not is something that I will decide as we go along." In an earlier interview with entrepreneur and content creator Raj Shamani, the 59-year-old actor had admitted that following his divorce from Kiran Rao in 2021, he wasn't looking to fall in love again. 'Before I met Gauri, I felt like I had aged… Who will I find at this age?" Aamir said. 'Therapy really helped me understand that I needed to love myself first. I had to heal and work on my own emotional health." That healing paved the way for something unexpected. 'Gauri and I met by mistake. We connected, became friends… and love happened," he said. Aamir married Reena Dutta in 1986. They were together for 16 years and had two children—Junaid and Ira. After their separation in 2002, he later married Kiran Rao in 2005. The two welcomed their son Azad Rao Khan in 2011 and continued their marriage for 15 years before parting ways. Now, with his relationship with Gauri Spratt, Aamir appears to be embracing a new chapter. First Published: July 29, 2025, 18:08 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
