The Bengal Files: Vivek Agnihotri Launches USA Premiere Tour Ahead Of India Release
Vivek Agnihotri's The Bengal Files to premiere across 10 U.S. cities in July. Final part of the Files Trilogy hits Indian cinemas on Sept 5, 2025.
Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, best known for his provocative and politically charged cinema, has unveiled an electrifying new promo video announcing the U.S. premiere tour of his upcoming film The Bengal Files. The movie marks the third and final installment of his 'Files Trilogy," following the impactful The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files.
The promo, shared on Agnihotri's social media handles, features emotionally charged snippets from all three films, reinforcing his ongoing cinematic mission to spotlight unspoken chapters of Indian history. Titled the Never Again USA Tour, the initiative is a bold move to take The Bengal Files to global audiences ahead of its theatrical release in India.

The U.S. leg of the promotional tour will see ten grand premieres starting July 19 in New Jersey and ending on August 10 in Houston. Other cities on the itinerary include Chicago, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Raleigh, Tampa, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The aim is to build conversation around the film and its themes with an engaged diaspora audience that has previously shown strong support for Agnihotri's work.
'The Never Again tour is more than just a string of premieres; it's a call to revisit suppressed truths," Agnihotri said while unveiling the video, which also includes glimpses from The Bengal Files trailer.
The Bengal Files is written and directed by Agnihotri and produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi. Backed by Tej Narayan Agarwal and I Am Buddha, the film features a formidable cast including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and Darshan Kumar.
As with its predecessors, the film is expected to deal with a politically sensitive and historically overlooked subject. The release is scheduled for September 5, 2025, in Indian theatres.
With momentum already building overseas, Agnihotri's latest offering seems poised to generate global dialogue — not just as a film, but as a cultural reckoning.

The probe report was to be submitted by May 9, a deadline missed by the police. The magistrate's court in Bandra had in February directed the Khar police to conduct an inquiry into the complaint against Kapoor and others under section 202 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Under this section, a magistrate can carry out an inquiry into a criminal complaint, or direct the police to do so. The magistrate's court had called for a report from the police by May 9. The show cause notice was issued as the police haven't submitted the report yet. The complaint was filed by YouTuber Vikas Pathak, also known as `Hindustani bhau'. Besides Ekta, Pathak named her OTT platform Alt Balaji, and her parents Shobha and Jeetendra Kapoor in the complaint. As per the complaint filed through advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, a web series on Alt Balaji showed a military officer engaging in an 'illicit sexual act' in one of its episodes. Pathak came across the episode in May 2020, the complaint said. 'The accused have stooped to a cheap low and shamelessly targeted the dignity and pride of our country by depicting Indian Army military uniform in the illicit sexual act with national emblem on it,' the complaint said.
