
Awasr wins Ookla's 'fastest internet in Oman' speedtest award
Ookla is known as a global leader in connectivity intelligence that provides consumers, businesses, and other organisations with data-driven insights to improve networks and connected experiences. Their Speedtest Awards ceremony, which took place this year at the 2025 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, once again served to reward fast internet speeds and coverage that service providers are delivering to their customers.
For 2024, and now for the eighth year in a row, Awasr were handed Ookla's Fastest Internet in Oman award, as a result of achieving the fastest download and upload speeds in Oman for their customers.

MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (OCCI) Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence Committee convened its first meeting of 2025, outlining key priorities for the year ahead.
