Debenhams £70 cosmetic box is now £17 and 'looks lovely on any dressing table'
Debenhams has significantly reduced the price of a cosmetics storage box that will surely thrill any makeup enthusiast. The store used to be a favourite among many in the UK while it was located on the British high street. However, it was acquired by Boohoo in 2021 and has operated as an online marketplace ever since.
It frequently lowers the prices of a range of products, including beauty items, home goods, clothing, wedding supplies, and garden necessities. One of the newest discounted beauty products receiving excellent reviews from customers is the Neo Three-Layer Cosmetic Makeup Storage Organiser.
The makeup box was initially priced at £69.99, but with a 75% discount, customers can now purchase it for just £17.80. This portable Three-Layer Cosmetic Makeup Storage Box is touted as "the perfect answer for keeping your beauty essentials organised while travelling."
It is resistant to water and dust, making it perfect for those who wish to keep their makeup, skincare products, and jewellery organised and within easy reach. Debenhams says: " With multiple drawers, you can neatly organise your lipsticks, makeup brushes, and accessories. Crafted from high-impact polystyrene, the super-capacity design accommodates large bottles of emulsion, sunscreen, toner, and isolation cream."
It continued: "The transparent visual design allows you to easily see what you have stored, making it effortless to find what you need. Plus, the clear lid and convenient handle make it easy to carry with you wherever you go. Whether in the bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, nightstand, or dressing table, our Portable Cosmetics Storage Case is the perfect organisational solution for your beauty routine."
If you're in the market for a spacious cosmetic storage box, you have several alternatives to Debenhams. The Range offers a nearly identical makeup organiser priced at £18.19. Dunelm features the Modern Luxe Ribbed Desktop Storage Box, equipped with three drawers, for £18. Additionally, you might consider Amazon's Warmiehomy Multifunctional Makeup Organiser, available for £20.99, which includes various compartments.
On the Debenhams website, the Three-Layer Cosmetic Makeup Storage Organiser has received numerous positive reviews, boasting an impressive overall customer rating of 4.3 out of five stars. In her enthusiastic five-star review, a customer named Amy expresaidssed: "So pleased, lots of space, looks super stylish, great-sized compartments, really good size and tall enough to stand up full-size products."

I kept my daily skin care/ brushes on top and makeup in bits of jewellery in the drawers." Another said: "Perfect for storage and looks great on my dressing table. Lots of room in it too. However, Sadiyah said: "Nice and spacious. 4 stars as material could have been abit stronger considering how big it is." Sibbysue had an issue with size, writing: "Good, but big for dresser." One more claimed: "The lid hinges are a little bit flimsy." Jo said: "For the money is paid is expected better quality."

Holiday hotspot loved by Brits dealt huge blow as tourists 'abandon' it
Lanzarote saw a significant decrease in the number of German tourists visiting the island, with a loss of almost 30,000 visitors in a year, according to a new report German tourist numbers have plummeted by nearly 30,000 in just one year on Lanzarote. Between January and May 2025, approximately 146,079 German holidaymakers visited Lanzarote, compared to 174,976 during the same period the previous year. Spain ranks as one of the most visited countries in the world, especially during the summer months. According to FTN News, the most visited cities are Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, with other destinations including the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Valencia and Granada. Nevertheless, the Canary Islands Statistics Institute (ISTAC), which published the data, predicted that tourist numbers would match last summer's figures despite the drop in German arrivals. This was primarily attributed to a surge in British tourists, which rose by just under 40,000, despite widespread protests that have engulfed the archipelago, reports the Express UK visitors to Lanzarote climbed from 691,902 to 738,387 during the five-month period year-on-year, according to Gazette Life. Interestingly, German visitors have dropped by nearly 30,000 in Lanzarote, as marked between the months of January and May 2025. Lanzarote fared well overall, welcoming 1.4 million international tourists - an increase of 46,188 compared to the same timeframe in 2024. With the UK taking the first place, other visitors come from countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, of course, Spain. Previously, the Canary Islands tourism industry voiced concerns regarding the German government's proposal to increase air ticket taxation. The aviation tax hike took effect in May 2024, pushing the levy for short-distance flights from £10.82 per ticket to £13.46. Nicolás Villalobos, General Director of the Cordial Group, described it as "very bad news". Christoph Ploss, the government's tourism policy coordinator, claimed the former administration had made holidays more costly for Germans. He told German publication Bild: "A well-deserved holiday in Majorca must not become unaffordable." Despite widespread protests, the Canary Islands have seen a surge in visitor numbers, according to data from the Canary Islands National Statistics Institute (INE). Locals have voiced concerns about the negative effects of mass tourism, including rising living and housing costs, strained infrastructure, loss of cultural identity, and overcrowding. Euro News reports that the islands welcomed 4.36 million international tourists in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 2.1% increase compared to the same period last year.

Pubs, supermarkets and bookies expecting huge boost when Lionesses play Euro final
Millions are expected to tune in to the must-watch clash between England and Spain, whether it be from home, pubs, beer gardens or in front of big screens Pubs, bookies and supermarkets are gearing up for a bumper weekend as the nation gets ready to roar on the Lionesses in the Euros final. Punters will be drinking until the wee hours after pubs received special permission to stay open as late as 1am to celebrate the occasion. And those planning to watch it at home have already begun stocking up - as supermarket giants expect a huge boost in sales. Asda has forecasted 1.3 million sales of bags of crisps and 300,000 pizzas. Meanwhile Tesco expects to sell three million cans of beer and cider, over 3.5 million bottles of wine, 450,000 bottles of champagne or sparkling wine, and 70,000 pizzas across the weekend. But despite the opposition, the supermarket believes that Spanish brews such as San Miguel, Cruzcampo, and Estrella are likely to be the beer of choice. Spanish lager is now by far the most popular beer bought in the UK, with volume growth at Tesco last year up by more than 15% versus the year before. And the bookies are also predicting a surge, as the Barmy Army back their beloved Lionesses to go all the way. Betting shop Coral expects this Sunday's Women's European Championship final to be to see a record-breaking number of fans having a flutter. Coral's John Hill said: 'Millions of pounds will be bet on the women's Euros final with British bookmakers, and the majority will be on the Lionesses to lift the trophy. For the first time in this tournament, England will start a match as the underdogs, but that tag might just suit them." William Hill added that 66% of bets taken in the Women's Euros have backed England. And after the government gave pubs a special dispensation to stay open late, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper wished the Lionesses good luck ahead of the final. She said: 'The Lionesses have shown throughout this summer why they are true national stars. They have shown unbelievable grit and determination and are an inspiration to us all. 'Watching football in the local pub is a great British tradition and by extending licensing hours, we will hopefully be able to celebrate late into the evening. I want to wish the best of luck to Sarina Wiegman and the England squad, who we hope will be able to bring it home once again and continue on as champions of Europe.'
