Drugs, weapons, body armour seized by Manitoba RCMP in The Pas
Police said they conducted a traffic stop around 1 a.m. in the community, and while speaking to the people in the vehicle, noticed some open liquor.
That led to a search, which turned up cocaine, an extendable baton, and bear mace. Officers followed up by searching a rural property on Highway 10 and seized guns, a crossbow, body armour, pills, and paraphernalia.

Three people are in custody with charges pending — a 30-year-old man and 27-year-old woman from The Pas, as well as a woman, 36, from Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

Weekend death of Calgary man was homicide, police say
Calgary police say the death of a man in a downtown apartment building over the weekend has been ruled a homicide. Police were called out to the 600 block of 10 Street southwest around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday for reports of a dead man inside a residence. Calgary police are issuing a public warning about a text message scam asking people to pay fake tickets for parking and photo radar. Investigators have received more than 25 reports in recent weeks of text messages telling people they must pay overdue tickets and encouraging them to click on a link in the message to complete payment. The messages threaten that people could have their vehicle towed, their driver's licence suspended or face hefty fines and other penalties if they fail to pay the tickets. RCMP find cocaine, crack hidden in vehicle during rural Manitoba traffic stop
A driver spotted speeding on Highway 17 Thursday night is facing numerous charges, police say, after they found cocaine and crack concealed in his vehicle. Manitoba RCMP officers were patrolling in the RM of Fisher around 9:45 p.m., when they saw the vehicle driving 139 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone and pulled the driver over. A search of the vehicle turned up 160 grams of cocaine and crack, along with drug paraphernalia, which police said was stashed inside a speaker.
