SINGAPORE - Media OutReach Newswire - 26 June 2025 - From 20 June to 13 July 2025, Singapore Science Park 1 is the new hunting ground for #HuntTheMouse - LyndenWoods Edition (the 'Edition').
#HuntTheMouse - LyndenWoods Edition
In this second iteration of #HuntTheMouse thematic pop-up hunt (the 'hunt' or 'game'), 64 game coins worth 50 million of STAR$® ('Credits'), equivalent to S$50,000 in value, which can be used to pay or offset purchases at CapitaLand malls, will be hidden in Singapore Science Park 1. The hunting ground is conveniently located right outside Kent Ridge MRT Station on the Circle Line.
Game coins will be hidden in easy-to-access public areas, including Geneo's community spaces such as The Canopy and The Seed, and around the LyndenWoods condominium showroom. The first player or team to find the game coin gets to redeem Credits of corresponding value. There are four LyndenWoods Coins and sixty Science Park Coins, worth S$5,000 and S$500 of Credits respectively.
It is recommended that players follow the hints released on Sqkii's social media such as Instagram and Facebook, and the real-time map on the game website to locate these hidden game coins and exchange them for Credits.
One LyndenWoods Coin, in wood and slightly bigger than the size of a Singapore 20 cents coin, will be hidden every Saturday for four weeks from 21 June to 12 July 2025. Once it is hidden, five free hints will be released in rapid-fire mode every hour from 14:00hr (SGT) onwards. There will also be one free tip every weekday on Sqkii social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) to help players prepare for the LyndenWoods Coin drop on Saturdays.
Sixty Science Park Coins, identifiable by their silver colour, will be released progressively over the game period.
There are power-ups to help players get ahead in their hunt. To use these power-ups, players simply have to complete a mission to earn Crystals for the activation of these power-ups:
Circle Shrink – Use this power-up to shrink Science Park Coin circles to narrow down selected coin location.
Coin Sonar – This power-up allows players to scan the area around them to zoom in to a more precise location for a Science Park Coin. There are three scan ranges: 25m, 50m, or 100m, each requiring different numbers of Crystals. Each scan gives the player instant feedback on whether the silver coin is within their selected range.
Metal Detector – Players can activate this power-up when inside any Science Park Coin circle to turn their phone into a metal detector in search of the coin. It scans the surrounding vicinity for one minute and provides visual feedback on the proximity to the coin as the player moves around.
'#HuntTheMouse brings people and places together,' shares Mr. Kenny Choy, CEO & co-founder of Sqkii, the gamification company behind #HuntTheMouse. 'In this second thematic hunt, we hope to share and bring our fans, friends and family to the rejuvenated Singapore Science Park 1, which is now buzzing with excitement through its instagrammable designs, unique space planning and creative placemaking initiatives.'
HOW TO PLAY
Free to play and open to Singapore residents and PRs, 64 game coins will be hidden progressively in various parts of Singapore Science Park 1 during the game period from 20 June to 13 July 2025. The first to find the game coin gets to redeem CapitaLand STAR$ credits of corresponding value. The breakdown of the number of coins and the corresponding values is as follows:
• 4 x LyndenWoods Coin worth S$5,000 each
• 60 x Science Park Coin worth S$500 each

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split after nine years

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have been engaged since February 2019 and have a four-year-old daughter. Photo: Katy Perry/Instagram After nine years together, American singer Katy Perry and British actor Orlando Bloom have parted ways. They have been engaged since February 2019 and have a four-year-old daughter. The 40-year-old singer of Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) was first romantically linked to Bloom in January 2016, when they were seen at several Golden Globe after-parties together. They went public with their relationship on Instagram in May that year, after attending the Cannes Film Festival. They were set to wed in 2020, but their plans were foiled by the Covid-19 pandemic. Bloom, 48, recently appeared in Orlando Bloom: To The Edge (2024), which he executive-produced. The three-episode TV series sees him going on a journey of self-discovery through activities such as freediving and rock climbing. The Pirates Of The Caribbean (2003 to 2017) star also has a 14-year-old son with his ex-wife, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr. Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand between October 2010 and December 2011. She is now in Adelaide for her The Lifetimes Tour, which will wrap up in December. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network

Miley Cyrus blamed for dad Billy Ray's smoking habit on 'Hannah Montana' set

Miley Cyrus says she caught some flack for her dad's pot habit on the set of the Disney Channel series 'Hannah Montana'. Photo: TNS Miley Cyrus says she caught some flack for her dad's pot habit on the set of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana . The Grammy winner, 32, shed some light on her child star days while appearing on Thursday's (June 19) episode of Sorry We're Cyrus , the podcast hosted by her mum, Tish, and big sister Brandi. Asked about an amusing 'core memory' from making the teen sitcom co-starring her father, Miley said: 'Dad smoking pot and everyone blaming me for it.' Tish said she remembered the drama, noting that once everyone realised it was actually Billy Ray toking on the set, people on the show kept calling her to say 'B-Ray was smoking pot.' She said she refused to believe it at the time, and tried blaming Miley's co-star Mitchel Musso instead. 'It was Mitchel Musso! It was both,' Miley replied with a laugh. During the episode, the famous family also addressed when Tish 'mysteriously' – as Miley teased – unfollowed her on Instagram last month, prompting speculation about the state of their relationship. Miley at the time dismissed the rumour mill, saying that though she 'rarely' bothers weighing in on the grapevine, her mum is her 'best friend' and the two 'are too tight for anything to ever come between us.' Much like Tish responded to one of her own followers, Cyrus said the move was a 'simple, coincidental and uninteresting' mistake, despite occurring just hours after Billy Ray broadcast how excited he was to see his daughter. They had their own dust-up in July 2024, when he apparently called Miley and Tish 'skanks' in texts and audio obtained by multiple outlets. About a year prior, Tish and youngest daughter Noah – who reportedly had a relationship with her new stepdad Dominic Purcell, before he wed her mum – put their own reported feud to bed. – New York Daily News

Singaporean born food critic and TV personality Chua Lam dies at 83

Multi-talented Chua Lam was a writer, film producer, food connoisseur and TV programme host. Photo: Chua Lam/Facebook Renowned food critic and columnist Chua Lam, best known as one of the Four Great Talents of Hong Kong, has died at the age of 83. His death was announced on his Facebook and Weibo pages on June 27 afternoon. 'Our beloved Mr Chua Lam passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital on June 25, ' said the announcement in Chinese. 'In accordance with Mr Chua's wishes, no ceremony was held to avoid troubling his friends and relatives, and his body has been cremated.' The Singaporean born media personality was the brother of Chua Liang, former principal of Nanyang Girls' High School, and former Singapore TV drama producer Chua Swan, who died in March at age 78. Chua Lam was in the news in 2023 after he fell and suffered a hip fracture while rushing to help his wife when she fell. His spouse, former film producer Cheung King Man, died later at age 84. He went for an operation and had to use a wheelchair after he was discharged. He was in Singapore in September 2023 to attend the opening of Chua Lam's Charity Calligraphy Exhibition held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. In late April, there were rumours that he was in poor health and had been admitted to the intensive care unit in hospital. His assistant told the Hong Kong media then that he suffered a small ailment and was on the road to recovery. Chua also took to social media on April 29, thanking everyone for their concern, and said he was not critically ill. Multi-talented Chua was a writer, film producer, food connoisseur and TV programme host. He was celebrated as one of the Four Great Talents of Hong Kong, who were known for their years of friendship and who all left their mark in their respective fields. The other three members were lyricist and songwriter James Wong, who died in 2004 at age 63; martial arts novelist Louis Cha, who died in 2018 at age 94; and science-fiction novelist Ni Kuang, who died in 2022 at age 87. Chua published his first article in newspaper Nanyang Siang Pau at the age of 14. He moved to Japan to study, majoring in film, when he was about 18. He then travelled to places such as New York, Seoul, Paris and Taipei before settling in Hong Kong at the age of 22 in 1963. He became a production manager at movie studio Shaw Brothers and moved to Golden Harvest more than 10 years later. He produced several movies including City Hunter (1993), Thunderbolt (1995) and Mr Nice Guy (1997), which starred Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan. Besides his film career, Chua was also actively involved in writing and hosting TV programmes. He was known as a food lover and food critic, whose food columns in newspapers proved popular with many readers. He has published more than 200 books on topics such as travel, personalities, food, humour and his philosophy of life. Chua caused a stir in 1989 when he co-hosted The Celebrity Talk Show with Wong and Ni Kuang. They smoked and drank on the set while grilling stars such as Chan, the late Leslie Cheung, Brigitte Lin Ching-hsia and Cherie Chung on their private lives and their views on sex. Chua ventured into the food industry in the 1990s, opening restaurants and launching food products. He also hosted several food programmes such as Market Trotter (2007) and Chua's Choice (2008). – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
