Swift reunion! Ex-Wrexham star Paul Mullin bumps into former team-mate James McClean at the airport after completing Wigan loan

WHAT HAPPENED?
Mullin, who enjoys legend status at SToK Racecourse, has linked up with the Latics on a season-long loan. He still has two years left to run on his contract in North Wales, but would appear to have little future with the ambitious Red Dragons.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
He has taken on a new challenge as a result, with the 30-year-old striker looking to earn fan-favourite status at the Brick Community Stadium. Mullin has already figured in a pre-season friendly fixture for his new employers.

DID YOU KNOW?
Wigan's next outing will take place in Alicante, as they soak up some summer sun, and Mullin ran into familiar faces before jetting out to southern Spain. That is because Wrexham are also on their travels, as they head to Australia and New Zealand.
WHAT WIGAN SAID
Red Dragons captain McClean forms part of that travelling party, and he was happy to meet up with Mullin again before they headed in opposite directions once more. Wigan posted a picture of the pair on social media with the caption: 'You never know who you're going to bump into at the airport!'
WHAT NEXT FOR MULLIN?
Both Wrexham and Wigan have promotion bids in mind for 2025-26. The Red Dragons, with Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at the helm, are taking aim at the Premier League while the Latics are looking to end a three-season stint in League One.

ixaras Answers The Big Question On New Single ‘Do You Like Girls?'

ixaras has shared a new single, entitled 'Do You Like Girls?', which marks her second single of 2025 thus far. The follow-up to last month's 'This City' was produced by Thomas Porter, who works under the moniker Charlie Hole, with singer-songwriter Hannah Brewer also credited by the artist as assisting in the song's creation. In a press statement, the teenage Brisbane singer-songwriter described the new song as a 'journey of self-discovery in sexuality'. '[The song is] challenging societal binaries and expectations, while also questioning how we perceive and assume the sexuality of others,' she wrote. 'This song was written about when I was unsure and ashamed of myself, because of my sexuality. Looking back now, I'm so happy to say how proud I [am for how far I] have come, and how much love I have yet to share with the world. I hope this song brings comfort to anyone going through a similar time, and just know you're allowed to love whoever you want.' The new single can be streamed below. The release of 'Do You Like Girls?' continues a busy week for ixaras, who recently launched a new show on triple j's Unearthed digital radio station that she will program and host. Unearthed High Frequency will air at 3pm local time on Thursdays via the triple j website for the next six weeks, and will see her going through submissions for this year's Unearthed High competition – of which she was a finalist back in 2023. A replay of the first episode from yesterday (June 26) can be found here. To celebrate the release of the single, ixaras and her band will play a run of intimate east-coast shows throughout July. She has also been announced as part of the program for this year's King Street Crawl, which will see dozens of bands and artists performing across the inner-west in an all-day free festival. ixaras' full tour schedule for 'Do You Like Girls?' can be found below. Shady Nasty Go Worldwide On Fred again.. Collab ‘Air Maxes'

Shady Nasty have shared their first new music since the release of their debut album Trek earlier this year: 'Air Maxes', a collaborative single with multi-platinum English producer Fred again.. and Irish DJ KETTAMA. The single comes after Fred unexpectedly praised the band on one of his Twitch streams, calling them 'literally my favourite band in the world right now' and noting that he was introduced to the Sydney no-wave trio by their mutual friend in the aforementioned KETTAMA. In a press statement, the band noted that the new single was thematically concerned with 'losing sight of your ambition'. 'Grinding toward something with no clear finish line can leave you wondering what might've happened if you'd taken a different path,' they wrote. 'Sometimes, you need to hop in the whip and smoke the streets out just to remember why you're putting in the hours. Sometimes, you need your mates to remind you to keep your head screwed on.' 'Air Maxes' marks Fred again..'s second new single of 2025, following the release of his Skepta collab 'Victory Lap' last month. It is KETTAMA's fourth single of the year, meanwhile, having previously released 'It Gets Better (Forever Mix)' in March as well both 'Gotta Have It' and the Wilkinson remix of his Interplanetary Criminal link-up 'Yosemite' in April. Fred's last studio album, Ten Days, was released in September 2024. It featured collaborations with the likes of Anderson .Paak, Obongjayar, The Japanese House, Skrillex and his longtime collaborators Four Tet and Joy (Anonymous). Shady Nasty will return to the road next month for a run of shows; this includes shows in Wollongong, Canberra and Newcastle, as well as the recently-announced Rad Presents mini-festival at Sydney's Liberty Hall. There, the band will be joined by Hockey Dad, The Belair Lip Bombs and more. All information about the band's upcoming gigs, as well as ticketing, can be found here. Fred again.. Ben Fogle mourns death of New Lives in the Wild star who ‘found happiness after losing millions'

Ben Fogle has paid tribute to New Lives in the Wild contributor David Glasheen, who has died aged 81. The former stockbroker was featured on Ben Fogle's New Lives in the Wild in 2013 after he lost his millions in the stock exchange crash. Dubbed the "Millionaire Castaway", Glasheen moved to the remote Restoration Island off the coast of Australia in 1997, where he later hosted Fogle. A real-life Robinson Crusoe, he lived there with only wild dog Quassi for company. Quassi reportedly died of a snake bite in 2016 and he found another wild dog Polly who died in 2018. "Dave found true happiness when he lost his millions and reconnected with nature," Fogle wrote in a message on Instagram. "Rest in Peace Dave." The 51-year-old journalist remembered his "one of a kind" friend. Fogle shared some fun photographs of their time in the wild, including when they enjoyed a beach beer. "So sad to hear that Dave Glasheen has passed away," he wrote on Instagram. "He was one of the first Wildmen I visited for New Lives in the Wild." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ben Fogle (@benfogle) He added: "He lived alone on Restoration Island in North Eastern Australia with just his beloved dog/dingo cross, Quassi for company. "Dave had lost his multi million dollar fortune overnight and on a whim moved to remote Restoration island where he finally found happiness in tranquility and isolation. He really was one of a kind and I feel so fortunate to have met him a few times and spent time with him on his little Australian paradise. "It saddens me that so many of the folk I have met over the years are passing away but it is also a reminder of the value and preciousness of life. Make the most of this short time we have. Dave was 81 and lived the richest life I know." Fogle's meeting with Glasheen was memorable, and many New Lives in the Wild viewers shared their condolences in the comments. "Oh he was fabulous..i remember that show. Sorry to hear this he really lived his life didnt way he wanted," one person wrote. Another added: "He passed as one of the richest men alive. We could all be more like Dave. RIP." Someone else said: "I loved his story. What a fascinating man and life xx." Ben Fogle's New Lives in the Wild series finishes on Tuesday with a trip to a poo expert. (Channel 5) TV star Fogle travels worldwide to meet the brave people choosing to live a different life in nature, off-grid. He always forges close bonds with the people he visits on his popular Channel 5 series New Lives in the Wild. Those relationships made are for life, and the journalist often films revisits for the series, too. Fogle revisited Glasheen for the 2017 series of New Lives in the Wild. "I stay in touch with everyone," Fogle told Yahoo UK in 2024 of those relationships. "They become real friends. It is an intense friendship formed in a very short time."
