This latest round brings OpenTrade's total funding to more than $11 million, secured within just six months, highlighting growing institutional confidence in the potential of providing wider access to dollar- and euro-denominated yields.
OpenTrade offers a B2B2C 'yield-as-a-service' model that lets fintechs, exchanges, and neobanks like Belo, BuenBit, Littio, and Criptan embed risk-weighted yields into everyday user experiences.
In countries where inflation has eroded savings and restricted access to stable currencies, OpenTrade is enabling millions to earn meaningful yields on USD and EUR holdings directly from their phones. Across Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Spain, more than 5 million retail users now have access to 3-9% APR on their USD and EUR holdings.
OpenTrade currently manages $47 million for clients and has processed nearly $200 million in transaction volume over the past year.
Samantha Lewis, partner at Mercury, comments: 'OpenTrade is building core financial infrastructure for the next generation of fintech. Their rapid growth underscores both the scale of demand and the strength of their model. They are solving a fundamental gap in the market with the potential to revolutionize global access to high-quality, yield-bearing accounts'

Inside Marcus Rashford's move to Barcelona: The key figure at the club who always wanted the Man United man ahead of Nico Williams - and the reasons why

Despite recent suggestions that Marcus Rashford was Barcelona 's third-choice option as they looked to sign a striker this summer, Mail Sport can reveal the forward was always the player Barca sporting director Deco wanted to bring to the club. The Spanish champions came close to signing the 27-year-old in January but their financial difficulties saw the deal fall through. Then, when it was back on track this summer, Nico Williams's attempt to join Barca almost wrecked Rashford's dream.

Marcus Rashford pictured arriving in Barcelona as it emerges Man United exile is taking a pay cut to complete dream move

Marcus Rashford's willingness to take a 15 per cent pay cut paved the way for his loan move to Barcelona. The Spanish champions made the Manchester United outcast - who was seen arriving in Barcelona on Sunday night - their top target this summer despite flirtations with Liverpool 's Luis Diaz and Spain winger Nico Williams. But Barcelona, who have had major financial issues for years, have so far been unable to register new signings and Rashford might have to wait until after the club's tour of Asia, which starts this week, to be officially added to their squad. His salary sacrifice — a 15 per cent reduction on his £315,000-a-week wages — makes that more likely. Barcelona had problems registering players last summer with new arrival Dani Olmo having to sit out the first three matches of the campaign before eventually getting La Liga clearance. Rashford almost signed for Barcelona in January but La Liga insisted the club sell before they buy and when they failed to offload Ansu Fati, who has since moved to Monaco, the deal had to be put on hold. He flew into Barcelona on Sunday night and will train for the first time with his new team-mates on Tuesday subject to a medical on Monday.

Marcus Rashford endures journey from hell as Man Utd star's transfer to Barcelona is almost scuppered by OASIS

MARCUS RASHFORD endured a journey from hell today - after his trip to Barcelona was almost scuppered by Oasis. The Manchester United striker had hoped to travel by private jet from Manchester airport on Sunday to Spain ahead of a medical today. 3 3 3 But officials were unable to give him a slot as the Manchester City -loving brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had taken up all the space. Liam is believed to have had a private jet on standby at the airport to take him to his home in the south of France after the band's final gig at Manchester's Heaton Park. Rashford, 27, and his team of advisors were instead forced to drive 80 miles to East Midlands airport instead. The player was then delayed an hour before boarding a private jet which was due to land shortly after 8pm on Sunday. He is due to undergo a medical on Monday and all being well, seal a season-long loan deal. A source said: 'Marcus' travel plans were disrupted so it was all a bit stressful but he would have walked to Barcelona to sign for them. 'Noel and Liam can have a laugh that they accidentally put a spanner in the works.' The private terminal at Manchester airport is also understood to be busy with Oasis fans from around the world jetting in to enjoy the gigs. The Sun told in February while Rashford was on loan at Aston Villa how his No 1 target if he was to leave Old Trafford was the Catalan giants. His team agreed a deal on Thursday that suited both United and Barcelona given the forward would not feature again for United under manager Ruben Amorin. Barca will cover 100 per cent of Rashford's £325,000-a-week wages to bring the forward to LaLiga and also have an option to buy. The deal does not allow United to recall the striker. United will save £15million in wages, which would be vital funds for Amorim to overhaul his squad. Rashford hopes to travel with Barcelona when the Spanish club departs this week for its pre-season tour of Asia, which begins next Sunday. The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after a move to Spain became too complicated in the January window. He has remained steadfast that he wanted to move to a club playing Champions League football. Should the move go to plan and Rashford seal a permanent move next summer, it would end his 20-year association with United. The United academy product scored 138 goals since his debut in 2015 and has made 426 appearances for the club, the last of which came against Viktoria Plzen in December.
