Channel 4 announces new lifestyle shows including railway series with Si King
The four-part series, which has a working title of Top Of The Stops, will follow King, 58, as he explores the more than 2,600 train stations that make up the UK's railway system, meeting the people that keep the structures operating. Produced by Wales-based Yeti Television, the programme will see King explore the country's most unusual train stations as he is joined by transport historian Siddy Holloway and architect Damion Burrows. Clemency Green, senior commissioning editor for lifestyle at Channel 4, said: 'As the rail network turns 200 years old, this series will spotlight the best of our country's engineering history in a different way. 'We're honoured Si will be presenting his first series for More4, and Yeti will no doubt deliver a captivating series that viewers will love to escape into.' In another new series, titled What Not To Eat, Dr Tim Spector, along with Dr Kandi Ejiofor, will offer nutritious alternatives to junk food, ready meals and other ultra-processed foods (UPFs). Each programme in the four-part series will feature one UK family who are looking to address various health concerns, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and more. Spector, 67, said: 'It's hard for people to make good dietary choices when what they're sold as 'healthy' food, in my view, can hardly be defined as food at all. 'I passionately believe that even quite modest changes to our diet can have a big impact on our health, and I cannot wait to get started on this new series where I'm going to try and change people's lives by changing what they eat.' Elsewhere, design expert George Clarke will offer help to homeowners facing design dilemmas in a new programme titled George Clarke's Kitchen Vs Garden. Clarke, 51, will be joined by garden design expert Luke Millard for the programme, which follows homeowners facing design dilemmas. Clarke said: 'This is a show that will inspire and help viewers to see the space they have in their homes differently. 'I know that the decisions involved in refurbishing them can be overwhelming so I'm excited to lend my expertise to help our renovators, and the viewers at home, to make the most of their spaces and create environments they'll love for years to come.' George Clarke's Kitchen Vs Garden starts on Wednesday August 13 at 8pm on Channel 4. Top Of The Stops will be available to watch on Channel 4 later this year and What Not To Eat will be broadcast in 2026. Ms Green said: 'Together, these new titles demonstrate the strategic ambition of Channel 4 lifestyle's commissioning approach: engaging specialist communities, sparking national conversation, celebrating everyday life, and offering unmissable entertainment. 'From trains to fast food culture to home renovations, this new slate reflects the broad spectrum of knowledge Channel 4 talent bring to our portfolio, offering audiences what they love, wherever they watch.'

Luke Shaw has given Manchester United a bold target for this season, saying that the squad's aim is to win the Premier League. Ruben Amorim 's side finished 15th last year and Shaw, speaking on the squad's pre-season tour, admitted that the memory of that campaign made his lofty target sound rather unattainable. But having earlier said that there were 'no stragglers' in the new-look United side after an Amorim-led clearout of players, Shaw cut a confident figure. 'The aim has to be to win the Premier League,' he said. 'I know people will be questioning me after last season, but it has to be that. 'It's not just me that thinks that, I'm sure the whole team if you ask them, they all have the same aims. 'Even the manager - I'm sure he probably wouldn't say in the press - but we all need to have the same beliefs and ambitions, and that family sort of feeling together and you all strive for the same thing.' Shaw previously said that everyone in the squad is 'driving in the same direction'. Marcus Rashford has made a high-profile move to Barcelona after a rift with the Red Devils' manager, while other exiles including Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are also likely to depart Old Trafford.

‘There's no tiff'! Trainer reacts to Kia Joorabchian removing record £4.6m buy from stable
The Amo Racing principal moved several of his string away from Ralph Beckett, including a filly by Frankel who was the most expensive yearling sold at auction in Europe last year Top trainer Ralph Beckett has reacted to football agent Kia Joorabchian removing several horses from his stable, insisting, 'There's no tiff.' Amo Racing principal Joorabchian has spent millions on bloodstock to fulfil ambitions to build a team capable of competing with the biggest powers in horse racing, including Coolmore and Godolphin. At last autumn's thoroughbred yearling sales he spent £8 million on the opening day of the Tattersalls Book 1 auction on three new signings, including £4.6m on a filly by super stallion Frankel. The Frankel filly was put into training with last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe-winning trainer Ralph Beckett but was recently transferred to the yard of Kevin Philippart de Foy, who is now in charge of the ex-Sir Michael Stoute Newmarket stables which are owned by Amo, along with several others. Last year's Irish Oaks winner You Got To Me, who has raced once since bought by Amo for £5 million, remains in training with Beckett. Joorabchian took ten horses away from Beckett four years ago during Glorious Goodwood when the owner said the pair were 'not seeing eye to eye'. The latest transfer of the Frankel filly, who had been named Partying, follows the switching of Ghostwriter, bought for £2m before Royal Ascot, who has also joined Philippart de Foy from Clive Cox. Beckett, speaking about the moves to ITV Racing, said: 'There's no tiff. Moving unraced two-year-olds midway through the season is unusual but Kia is an unusual individual. 'When we split four years ago at this meeting, at that moment I was happy to see them go. They went at my instigation that time. Then he sent me a yearling. I said I'd take one, then all of a sudden I end up with six.' He continued, 'So there is no fall out, no tiff. Kia's Kia, we move on.' Beckett added he would welcome 'one or two' Amo Racing horses in the future, but not 'six or seven'. Joorabchian, who has admitted 2025 has been disappointing so far, saw his team on the scoresheet at Goodwood when Aylin, jointly owned by Al Shaqab Racing, won a maiden fillies' stakes on Thursday. The Karl Burke-trained filly had been a £630,000 purchase last year. On Saturday the team will be represented in the US when Tiberius Thunder tackles the Grade 1 Saratoga Derby Invitational. Frankie Dettori has been booked for the mount.
