Liverpool postpone pre-season return following death of forward Diogo Jota
However, the PA news agency understands that has been postponed as the club deals with the aftermath of the shocking tragedy which saw 28-year-old Jota and his brother Andre Silva killed in a car crash in Spain in the early hours of Thursday.
Mourners gathered at a wake in Portugal on Friday morning, ahead of the brothers' funeral at the Igreja Matriz de Gondomar in Sao Cosme at 10am on Saturday.
Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez said the country had lost 'one of its heroes'.
'We feel the family's pain and, in this tragedy, we question life in general,' he said in a video released by the Portuguese Football Federation.
'We have created a family in the national team that goes far beyond football and Diogo is an important part of that – on and off the field.
'Portugal will miss one of its heroes.'
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said everyone associated with the club owed it to Jota to 'stand together and be there for one another'.

'For us as a club, the sense of shock is absolute. Diogo was not just our player. He was a loved one to all of us. He was a team-mate, a colleague, a workmate and in all of those roles he was very special.
'We need everyone at the club to stand together and to be there for one another. We owe this to Diogo, to Andre Silva, to their wider family and to ourselves.'
Jota's team-mates have spoken of the struggle to comprehend his death, with captain Virgil van Dijk writing on Instagram he was 'absolutely devastated and in total disbelief'.
'What a human being, what a player, but most importantly what an unbelievable family man,' he added.
'A champion forever, number 20 forever. It's been a privilege to have stood by your side on the pitch, and to have been your friend off it.
Andy Robertson, who attended Jota's wedding to long-term partner Rute Cardoso less than a fortnight ago, posted: 'I can't believe we're saying goodbye. It's too soon, and it hurts so much. But thank you for being in my life, mate – and for making it better.'

'Heartbroken' former manager Jurgen Klopp, for whom his Christian faith has played a big part in his life, wrote on Instagram: 'This is a moment where I struggle! There must be a bigger purpose! But I can't see it!'
Liverpool, who are supporting Jota's family, have opened a book of condolence, both physical in the Anfield Road Stand and online, lowered flags to half-mast and closed all stores and the museum and suspended all tours until Monday.
Fans continue to leave flowers, scarves and shirts at a makeshift shrine outside Anfield and there are similar scenes at Wolves' Molineux Stadium, where he spent three years before his move to Liverpool.

With Cameron Carter-Vickers not fully fit and new boy Inamura a development player, he'll also need a centre-back. MICHAEL: Celtic need to ramp up the recruitment drive from development players to first team ready stars. A couple of wide men and a striker are top of the list. Ann Budge's time at Tynecastle is coming to and end as the Gorgie chairwoman prepares to step down. How should she be remembered by Hearts fans? KEITH: Fondly. Budge isn't everyone's cup of tea and much of her decision making has been erratic since taking the helm. This does feel like the right time for her to move aside. But she stepped up when she was required and went on to future proof the club. Her contribution will never be forgotten. She should have a statue outside the new stand she helped construct. SCOTT: Like all football club owners, she's made mistakes. But if it wasn't for Budge, who knows where Hearts would be right now? KEITH: Hearts are a club on the up right now and Derek McInnes wouldn't have taken on the job if he didn't believe he could take them to the next level. That means rolling around in the mud with Celtic and Rangers next season - and Shankland's goals can help him achieve that. A third place finish will be the minimum aim. ANDY: The battle for third place has never been fiercer but Hearts have no excuse if they are not in the mix until the bitter end. They now have the off-field backing, a manager who knows the course and a striker that is among the best in the business. Now they need to go get it done. SCOTT: They have to aim for third, despite finishing bottom six last term. McInnes will believe with financial backing that he can split the Old Firm. But if they can be the best of the rest - and ahead of Hibs - come May he'll be delighted. MICHAEL: Keeping Shanks is a major bonus but the target for Hearts remains the same as it always is with or without the striker. The Jambos should be aiming for third this season and going deep in the cup competitions.

Norris followed in the footsteps of Sir Stirling Moss, James Hunt, Sir Jackie Stewart and Lewis Hamilton as he became the 13th British driver to triumph at his home race. The 25-year-old capitalised on Oscar Piastri's 10-second penalty at a wet Silverstone to take his fourth win of the season to reduce his rival's lead at the summit of the world standings from 15 points to eight. McLaren confirmed that Norris was fine but had suffered a small cut to his nose. 'This victory is everything I dreamed of,' said Norris. 'Being on top at your home race is very, very special. 'From a British perspective, I join a long list of pretty incredible winners – most of them are Lewis (Hamilton has won the British Grand Prix a record nine times) – so to join him and continue the reign of the British at Silverstone is amazing. 'Looking up at the fans and seeing them on their feet, your mind just goes pretty blank. The main thing is just don't f*** it up. I was just trying to enjoy the moment. Norris continued: 'Silverstone is where it all started for me – watching Lewis, Jenson (Button), Fernando (Alonso) – and it was that wet race here in 2008 when I began watching Formula One. 'Lewis won and I got that picture of him going round and all the fans are standing up, creating an amazing atmosphere. I dreamed of that for many, many years and today I got to see that through my own eyes and live that moment.' Norris' voice broke as he celebrated his win over the radio. 'There were no tears,' insisted Norris with a smile. 'I tried. But when I get emotional I don't cry, I just smile and it is pure happiness. I wish I could cry because I think it looks better for the pictures!' Norris' championship appeared in tatters after he crashed into the back of Piastri in Montreal last month but he has responded with back-to-back wins for the first time in his career to breathe new life into his title charge. He concluded: 'I have had two good weekends, and of course I want to continue the momentum, but that requires consistency and I need to keep working hard.'

The report states that Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Nottingham Forest and Fulham are all interested in the 20-year-old after he produced 17 goal contributions in 41 games last season. The report states that Lyon are hopeful the price will be driven up due to the amount of interest in Fofana. The French side do need to sell as their financial problems have seen them relegated from Ligue 1, although the club are appealing the decision. Diaz speaks out Luis Diaz has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer, with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich said to be interested in signing the winger. And Diaz has now spoken out about the rumours, telling Colombian broadcaster WinSports: "It's not known yet, we're talking with the board. We're comfortable with where I am, and we'll have to see." However, it has previously been reported that Liverpool have do not want to sell the winger and have already rejected an approach from Bayern. Diaz scored 17 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions last season. Zubimendi joins Arsenal Arsenal have signed midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, just one year after he rejected the chance to join Liverpool. Zubimendi was reluctant to leave his boyhood club last year and the 26-year-old has now revealed why he has chosen Arsenal. "This is a huge moment in my career," he told the Arsenal website. "It's the move I was looking for and one I wanted to make. As soon as you set foot here, you realise how big this club and this team are. I set my sights on Arsenal because their style of play is a good fit for me. They have shown their potential recently and the best is yet to come."
