AN AMERICAN rock band has scrapped the UK leg of their tour due to a "medical emergency."
The group issued the shock statement on Instagram, uploading an image of their colourful tour poster with the word 'cancelled' emblazoned in yellow text over the top.

In their caption, The Georgia Thunderbolts wrote they had made their decision with "heavy hearts."
The Stand Up hitmakers put: "Good day friends and fans of The Georgia Thunderbolts.
"It is with heavy hearts we have to announce the cancellation of our first ever UK tour.
"We have had our sights set on touring the UK since our band's infancy.

The Take It Slow singers were due to kick off their tour in Newcastle on July 12, wrapping up in Maidstone on July 19.
In between, they were set to play sets in Wakefield, Bilston, Southampton and London.
Yet in their post they explained how vocalist TJ had suffered a stroke.
They added: "On Thursday, June 19th, while operating heavy construction equipment for his father, our lead singer, T.J. Lyle, suffered a mild stroke.
"T.J. is recovering the best, but his medical team feels he should rest up a bit, not get too hot and avoid flying for a while.
"A huge thank you to all for prayers and everyone pulling for T.J.
We promise we will be coming to your shores soon.
"Full Steam Ahead…Damn the Torpedoes!! The Georgia Thunderbolts."
The Georgia-founded band's loyal fans were hugely understanding, and one took to the comments section to write: "Health first always."
A second put: "All the best, T.J."
What are the symptoms of stroke?
The FAST method – which stands for Face, Arms, Speech, Time – is the easiest way to remember the most common symptoms of stroke:
F = Face drooping - if one side of a person's face is dropped or numb then ask them to smile, if it's uneven then you should seek help.
A = Arm weakness - if one arm is weak or numb then you should ask the person to raise both arms. If one arm drifts downwards then you might need to get help
S = Speech difficulty - if a person's speech is slurred then this could be a sign of a stroke
T = Time to call 999 - if a person has the signs above then you need to call 999 in the UK or 911 in the US for emergency care.
Other symptoms include: sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body
difficulty finding words
sudden blurred vision or loss of sight
sudden confusion, dizziness or unsteadiness
a sudden and severe headache
difficulty understanding what others are saying
difficulty swallowing
A third mused: "Get well soon TJ! You are in our thoughts and prayers!"
One then added: "TJ's health is the most important. I'll be there for your next UK tour. Love you TJ. Big hugs from Paris to all of you GTB."
It came after the group pulled out of their scheduled gig at The Hub in Bremen, Georgia, due to the medical issue - but did not at the time state what it was.
They first announced their UK tour last month.
In an excited Instagram post the group, which formed in 2015 but did not release their debut album Can We Get A Witness until 2021, wrote: "The time has come!! We are excited to announce we're headed to the UK this summer!!
"Mark your calendars and get those tickets…on sale now in bio…"
"We can't wait to meet you all!! Let's Rock!!!"

Netflix has announced no plans for a future "Squid Game" spinoff, but we talked to Hwang about the possibility of the series continuing without him, how he nabbed Blanchett for that huge scene and if there was ever any hope of "Squid" having a happy ending. Is Cate Blanchett leading an American 'Squid Game' spinoff? Question: How did Cate Blanchett come on board? Answer: I've always been a big fan of hers. As you know, we needed someone who could completely dominate the screen with a single line and a fleeting moment. ... She is someone who can do that, (and) all of my producers thought so, too. When I met her she told me that her kids were big "Squid Game" fans. Does Blanchett's scene leave the door open for an American spinoff? I didn't write that particular scene in order to open room for spinoffs. But it was about how, through Gi-hun's sacrifice, the games in Korea have come to an end. The gaming arena has been demolished. But I wanted to make the point that in other parts of the world the games do continue. There is already a "Squid Game" reality show on Netflix ("Squid Game: The Challenge"). Can you imagine the show being continued in a scripted version without your participation? Yeah, I think it can be made, definitely. But that said, I hope that whoever wishes to go on that route will be cautious, because this is a show that is really on the edge. It is a really tricky and nuanced show; if you slightly tilt too much to the side you can fall immediately. I hope that if other shows were to come that the intention would not just be to ride on the success. ... I don't think I have to be a part of it for the show to be made, but I hope they would consult with me. Was there ever a version of the story in your mind that had a happy ending? In the very beginning, I did think about that. I thought about what if Gi-hun was able to save a few of the people in there? (But) the more i thought about it, the more I thought about what kind of story do I want to tell, and the more I saw what was happening around the world in the process. ... When you look around the world, everything seems to be headed for the worst, economically and with the environment. The next generation is losing hope. Meghan launched her As Ever Napa Valley Rose 2023, described as having 'soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish', on Tuesday. The beverage, priced at more than £65 for a minimum three-bottle order, had only appeared to be available for US customers to buy, with shipping addresses limited to America. Meghan and the Duke of Sussex left the UK and moved to California five years ago for a new life after stepping down from the working monarchy. A post shared by @aseverofficial The wine went on sale at 4pm UK time, but the site was updated less than hour later to signal stocks were sold out. In a post on Instagram, the duchess' As Ever brand said: 'It's here! Raise a glass to the newest addition to the As ever family. Our beautiful Napa Valley rose is now available'. A short clip showed the wine being poured into a glass, with accompanying sound. The pale pink wine, in a clear bottle with a white gold-rimmed label, was launched on a dedicated where an over-21 birth date must be inputted to enter and where the drink was described as: 'A delicately balanced rose with soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish.' The site adds: 'Reminiscent of the finest Provencal styles, it's crisp, pale in color, and effortlessly elegant – crafted for slow afternoons and golden-hour gatherings. 'This rose captures the essence of sun-drenched outdoor moments through its thoughtfully crafted blend.' Shipping, which begins on July 9, cost an additional flat rate 20 dollars (£14.59) per order. Meghan's wine has an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 14.5%. According to the Drink Aware charity, most wines have an ABV of around 11-14%. Meghan added apricot jam to her collection in June after restocking her online store, with items selling out for a second time in a row.
