Not always what they seem: zodiac signs that can disappoint
People like to look at their zodiac signs to get ideas about their lives. But sometimes, certain zodiac signs can make people feel disappointed. Here are some signs that might give false hopes:
Libras are nice and friendly.
They want everything to be fair and peaceful. But sometimes, they can't make up their minds. This can make them promise things they can't do. People might feel let down when Libras can't keep their promises.
Pisces are kind and understand others well. They see the world in a positive way. But sometimes, they can be too hopeful. They might promise more than they can do. When they can't keep their promises, others might feel sad.
Sagittarians are always excited about new things. They like adventures. But sometimes, they promise things without thinking. They might not be able to keep their promises because they get too excited. This can make others feel disappointed.
Geminis are smart and fun to be around. But sometimes, they change their minds too much. They might promise one thing and then change their minds. This can make others feel confused and let down.

Leos are confident and like to be in charge. But sometimes, they promise more than they can do. They want people to like them, so they might promise big things. But then they can't do what they promised. This can make others feel disappointed.
Even though astrology can be interesting, it's not always right. Not everyone of the same sign acts the same way. We all have to be responsible for what we promise. It's important to be honest and do what we say we will do.

Coimbatore corporation collects 65 tonnes of bulky household waste
Coimbatore: The city corporation on Saturday launched a special drive to collect bulky household waste, which otherwise mostly ends up on roadsides and in water bodies. On the first day of the drive, which would continue on Sunday, the civic body collected more than 65 tonnes of bulky household waste from the residents. A corporation official said the drive was aimed at addressing the accumulation of bulky waste items like old cots, sofas, mattresses, tables and chairs in households and ensuring proper disposal. The collection drive was carried out ward wise, he said. "Many residents contacted corporation staff and handed over such bulky waste items to sanitary workers. Ward and zonal offices functioned as the collection centres. The collected waste was later transported to the Vellalore dump yard in trucks. Once the drive concludes, recyclers will be invited to take reusable items. The remaining waste will be disposed of in a scientific manner," the official said. For assistance, residents could contact the north zone office at 8925975980, west zone office at 8925975981, central zone office at 8925975982, south zone office at 9043066114 and the east zone office at 8925840945. Welcoming the initiative, R Guna, of Sowripalayam, said the residents were forced to dump old furniture on roadsides or in water bodies in the absence of a regular system for collecting bulky household waste. "The corporation should conduct similar drives at least once every six months." Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Friendship Day wishes , messages and quotes !

MCG to deploy 300 tractors to clean up trash from Gurgaon's roads
Gurgaon: MCG is planning to deploy 308 tractor trolleys across the city, with 10 units allocated for every ward. The civic body will also acquire earthmovers to collect waste from roads and public places, responding to mounting complaints about indiscriminate dumping. Moreover, MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said the authority was planning to establish compressed biogas (CBG) facilities at secondary waste collection sites to start decentralised waste processing. These trolleys will be provided to councillors to use them in maintaining cleanliness in their wards," said an MCG official. The city does not have any agency for doorstep waste collection. A stop-gap arrangement to hire 400 light commercial vehicles for it was planned but could not be executed as many migrant labourers fled the city following the recent police verification drive. The tender process to hire a dedicated agency for doorstep waste collection has been initiated. "There is no contractor assigned by MCG for doorstep waste collection, so we have hired a private contractor, who is charging Rs 100 per floor for waste collection. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like How to Ease Knee Pain Without Injections or Side Effects Read More Undo Moreover, no sanitation worker is coming for manual sweeping of roads. So, if these tractor trolleys are assigned to each ward, we will know whom to contact to get waste cleared," said Lalit Suraj Bhola, general secretary of Sector 9A RWA. "Every time we call up MCG to get the roadside waste lifted, they seek time to arrange tractor trolleys. Many times they don't even turn up," he added. Meanwhile, during a special campaign conducted in July, the civic body caught 81 vehicles illegally dumping waste, resulting in fines amounting to Rs 12.3 lakh. In July, MCG teams conducted thorough inspections in sectors 9, 18, 48, 29 and 65, Ghata, Khandsa, etc. Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Friendship Day wishes , messages and quotes !

Crocodile spotted in village pond in Malkangiri, triggers panic
Koraput: Panic gripped residents of MPV-83 village under Motu forest range in Malkangiri district after a crocodile was spotted in a local pond. "Villagers use the pond for various purposes, but since the crocodile was spotted, we are afraid to go near. We have informed the forest department to rescue the animal," said Bhima Madkami, a resident. He said this was the first time a crocodile was spotted in the area. "We don't know where the crocodile came from. There is fear that it might come out and enter the village, so we are keeping a close watch on its movement." Responding to the alert, forest officials launched a rescue operation on Saturday. Authorities have also installed warning banners around the pond, advising villagers to stay away for their safety. "Efforts are underway to trap the crocodile using nets. The reptile might have entered from a nearby river," said Rasmi Ranjan Swain, range officer of Motu.
