JAC Result 2025: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) declared the Class 10 board exam results today, May 27, 2025. As per the official announcement, the results released during a press conference at 11:30 AM at the JAC auditorium in Ranchi. Students will be able to view and download their Jharkhand Board Matric Result 2025 online starting from 12:30 PM at the official website — jac.jharkhand.gov.in. The JAC Class 10 results will also be accessible via DigiLocker. Once announced, students can visit results.digilocker.gov.in and select the Jharkhand Board to view their marks.
This year, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) conducted the Matric and Intermediate board exams from February 11 to March 3, 2025. The Class 10 exams took place in the morning session (9:45 AM to 1:00 PM), while Class 12 exams were held in the afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM). Practical exams for Class 10 students were held from March 4 to March 20, 2025. Similarly, practicals for Class 12 Science, Commerce, and Arts students were also conducted during the same period.

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT) has initiated preparations for the Jharkhand State Olympiad-2025 scheduled to be held in the second week of Nov. The Olympiad aims to foster academic excellence and nurture a spirit of healthy competition among students from govt and govt-aided schools across the state. Students studying in Classes VII, VIII, and IX will be eligible to participate in the Olympiad. The registration process has commenced, and the last date for submission is Aug 5, 2025. Interested students are required to fill out the Google registration form with the help of their respective school headmasters. Registration Link: The Olympiad will include examinations in English, mathematics, science, social science, and general knowledge, and will be conducted in both Hindi and English mediums. Each student may choose a maximum of two subjects. The exam pattern will consist of two sections. The first section will have 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while the second section will contain 5 Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions. The total duration of the exam will be 75 minutes, including the initial 10 minutes for reading the questions. Importantly, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. It will be conducted in two phases: the district-level (first phase) and the state-level (second phase). Students who excel subject-wise in the first phase will qualify for the second phase. JCERT will provide all participating schools with the required question papers and OMR sheets. No examination or registration fee will be charged to any student. Director Shashi Ranjan has instructed all district education officers and district superintendents of education to ensure maximum participation in their respective districts. Headmasters have also been advised to actively motivate students to register and prepare for the said, "Jharkhand has consistently performed well in this Olympiad, securing the position of national champion for the past two years, reflecting the growing academic strength of the state's govt school students. The 2025 Olympiad is expected to further boost academic competitiveness and inspire excellence across the state."

Conference to kick off higher secondary curriculum revision

The General Education department will organise a conference here on Friday to garner public opinion and hold discussions with stakeholders on the higher secondary curriculum revision that is being launched in the State. Following curriculum revision implemented for Classes I to X, students up to high school have received new textbooks in a phased manner. Now, the stage is set for revision of higher secondary textbooks published by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). Ahead of it, a discussion with stakeholders, including students and representatives of their organisations, teachers' organisations, academics, other experts, education officers, and members of the public, will be held at Tagore Theatre here. Minister for Finance K.N. Balagopal will perform the State-level inauguration of the public discussions at 10 a.m. Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty will preside. Kerala State Planning Board vice-chairperson V.K. Ramachandran will deliver the keynote address and release a few publications of the SCERT. Higher Secondary Principal Secretary Sharmila Mary Joseph will be the chief guest. Rationale for revision Following the inaugural, SCERT Director Jayaprakash R.K. will present the concept note for the curriculum revision. It will delve into the rationale for the revision; its context, particularly at the national level; and the changes in the State's higher education sector which the higher secondary classes are a stepping stone for. At present, both the SCERT and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks are in use in the higher secondary classes. These comprise 44 NCERT titles that were prepared as per the National Curriculum Framework, 2005, and include those for subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, and Sociology. These will continue to be used till a revision by the NCERT is effected. Revision of 80 titles published by the SCERT will be done. These include textbooks mostly for languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Urdu, and Arabic; subjects such as Journalism, Gandhian Studies, Anthropology, Philosophy, Home Science, Music; foreign languages such as German, French, and Syriac; and those for Computer Science and Computer Applications.
