Actor Arjan Bajwa is still reeling from the sudden passing of actor-writer Mukul Dev, a loss he says has left a void that words can't quite fill. Speaking just hours after the news broke on Saturday morning, the 45-year-old shares that the two shared far more than just screen space—they shared a bond forged in trust, creativity, and mutual admiration.
'What I'm feeling can't be put into words," Arjan says softly. 'Mukul and I weren't just colleagues from Son of Sardaar. We knew each other much before that and stayed connected long after. In fact, we were recently talking about a project he was writing specifically for me. The script was ready. It was something special."
The duo may have shared limited screen time in their collaborations—including State of Siege: 26/11—but off-camera, their friendship was deeply rooted. 'We would constantly exchange messages, hop on video calls. I have more than 100 minutes of his voice notes—him sharing thoughts, ideas, or just guiding me like an older brother. He always made time," Arjan recalls.
One of the most personal threads that connected them was their love for aviation. 'He was a certified pilot, and I fly as a hobby. Every time I left him a voice note, he'd tease me: 'You sound like a PA announcement on a flight. Talk to me nicely, yaar—thoda mazak mein baat kar!' That laughter… it's still ringing in my ears."
Despite their closeness, Arjan laments how they never took many photos together. 'When you're genuinely close to someone, you don't think of capturing it. At events you click pictures, but in real life—when you're talking often, meeting regularly—you just live in the moment."
It's Mukul's humour that Arjan says he'll miss most. 'He had that unmistakable Punjabi wit. Sometimes the jokes were so crass, you couldn't help but laugh. We'd speak in Punjabi and just crack up. That was our language of friendship."
As he speaks, it's clear that Arjan isn't just mourning a collaborator—he's grieving the loss of a kindred spirit, a brother in both art and life.

Ajay Devgn 's much-awaited comedy-drama 'Son of Sardaar 2' finally hit cinemas on 1 August 2025 after facing several delays. A sequel to the 2012 hit 'Son of Sardaar', this instalment sees Devgn reprise his role as Jassi Randhawa in a new, love-fuelled adventure. Despite the star's strong fan following and a wide release across the country, the film had a modest start at the box office. Son Of Sardaar 2 Movie Review Modest start but fails to be 'Raid 2' According to early estimates by Sacnilk, 'Son of Sardaar 2' collected approximately Rs 6.75 crore on its first day. While the numbers aren't bad, they're not record-breaking either, especially when compared to Ajay Devgn's earlier 2025 release, 'Raid 2', which made a much stronger Rs 19.25 crore on its opening day. India-Pakistan rivalry jokes and one-liners will keep you in splits, along with Tony and Titu trying to expose Jassi. The first half has some entertaining moments; one of them being Raja, Tony, and Titu visiting the family to finalise the wedding, where Jassi recreates the scene from Border and plays all three parts originally portrayed by Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff.' The review also points out that the second half becomes crowded with too many characters and comic tracks, 'However, as the story progresses, the plot becomes tangled and overstuffed with characters and comic tracks, though it does manages to deliver hilarity regularly. Some of the comedy misses the mark, like Jassi watching Raja's aged Russian stepmom pole dance. Routine song-and-dance sequences further drag on without advancing the plot. The climax is convoluted, predictable, and over‑dramatised.'
