Woman arrives at airport 45 minutes before flight to test theory she can still get on plane
Going to the airport can be a stressful experience for some people, but others find it a breeze. You're either a last-minute dasher, trusting in the cosmos that you'll whizz through security without a hitch. Or, alternatively, you're the type who prefers to arrive well ahead of the recommended two hours (or three during peak times like school holidays). If your travel companion wouldn't object, you might even fancy arriving four hours early, indulging in a manicure, treating yourself to a matcha (or something stronger), and perusing the bookshop.
However, thanks to the 'airport theory' circulating on TikTok, which many experts advise against trying, more individuals are attempting to emulate the former category, aiming to reach the airport with just enough time to spare.
Katharina Bost tested this theory at London Stansted Airport, claiming she arrived at 6.45 pm for a flight scheduled to depart at 7.30 pm. This gave her a mere 45 minutes to complete all necessary tasks, including navigating the dreaded security queue.
By 6:48pm, Katharina found herself in the bustling airport security line. However, passengers must have been swift as by 6:50pm, she was ready to explore the fragrances and cosmetics in duty-free.
She took full advantage of the perfume testers available, spritzing herself generously before boarding her flight.
At 7.04pm, she expressed her craving for a "needed a matcha," leading her to pop into Joe and the Juice for her favourite brew.
By 7.09pm, she had her matcha in hand, sipping it as she strolled towards the airport gate.
She reached the gate at 7.14pm, and by 7.22pm, she was strapped in and ready for take-off, looking quite chuffed with herself.
However, some commenters questioned the authenticity of the timestamps provided in her video, wondering how she managed such a seamless airport experience, something they'd never encountered before.
One person commented: "There's no way security took 15 minutes unless you got fast-track". A fast-track pass allows you to bypass most of the queue and rejoin further down the line.
A woman retorted: "The longest time I've ever spent in an airport security queue is about 15 minutes tbh".
"You went through fast-track security, and then your plane was delayed," another accused her.
A TikTok user confessed: "I'd be having a panic attack cutting it this fine," while another admitted: "I'd literally be running".
"It took me an hour to get through security at Stansted a few weeks ago, on a random Saturday afternoon," someone grumbled.
Stansted Airport advises: "Always follow your airline's guidance on how early you need to be at the airport before your flight.
"As a general guide, you will need to have checked in and be ready to go through security at least 2 hours before your flight departure time."

Bishop in dressing gown tells choir to stop 'terrible racket' and leave church
A grumpy bishop in a dressing gown and bare feet told a choir in London to stop their 'terrible racket' and get out of his church. Jonathan Baker, the Bishop of Fulham, turned up as City Academy Voices were nearing the end of their concert, grabbed a microphone and demanded the performers and 300-strong audience leave. The bishop, who had also switched the lights off, told those gathered at St Andrew's Church in Holborn: 'You are in my house. It's gone past 10pm and this is a terrible racket.' As murmurs of disbelief were heard, he repeated: 'Goodnight. You are in my house – can you leave it now please. Thank you, it's over.' The incident was filmed and shared on social media, and has now had more than 400,000 views. After the bishop moved away from the stage, a church employee took themicrophone and asked the crowd to leave quietly because 'this is a residential home'. She was met with boos and jeers. According to a post under the video on TikTok, the concert was supposed to finish at 10pm and overran slightly due to technical issues. However the space was booked till 11pm. @Katiegeek wrote: 'We've sang here as a choir numerous times before with no problem! 'We had the space booked until 11pm – there was no earlier curfew of any kind. The concert should have finished by 10 (given our running order) but tech issues meant we were a little later. 'BUT we had every contractual right to still be there AND still be singing!! 'He interrupted in the middle of our last number – turning the lights off and getting on the stage in his dressing gown and barefoot! 'There were numerous people trying to talk to him offstage so he will have been made aware that we only had a few minutes left – and that we had every right to still be there.' She said there were 300 people in the audience who had all paid £20 each to be there. In the end, choir, who sing classical, choral, musical theatre and pop, walked out while singing Abba's 'Dancing Queen'. '(It) was supposed to be our encore so we started singing that on the way out – to try and leave the concert on a better note after the utterly BIZARRE behaviour of the interrupting bishop!!!' Benedict Collins, who was in the audience with his ten-year-old daughter, said he initially thought the interruption was a staged joke. 'The church willingly rents out the premises for performances, for money,' he told Sky News. 'They can hardly be surprised if they take bookings for concerts and there is music in the hall.' The choir's director, Leigh Stanford Thompson, described the incident as 'bizarre' and said the choir also thought at first it was a 'comedy act'. 'We all went out to the pub afterwards and took it all in. Everyone was in astonishment really,' he told the Guardian. More Trending 'I do find it funny. I'm not particularly upset. We had a really good concert but I think it's a real shame that we didn't get a chance to finish. 'But now looking back, what a way to go out.' One member of the choir said the bishop's comment about the singing being a 'racket' did not sit well because 'I think we produce a beautiful sound'. A diocese of London spokesman told the Guardian: 'Bishop Jonathan reached out to the organisers on Saturday to apologise for his late-night appearance at the concert, which he now understands had overrun due to earlier technical difficulties.' Woman recreates discontinued sweet and savoury Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bar
Cadbury is one of the most popular UK chocolate brands but some of its products have been discontinued, so one woman shared her recreation of her 'favourite' bar that is no longer available There are plenty of chocolate brands in the UK but Cadbury is a firm favourite. It's most known for its classic Dairy Milk bar but it also has some new flavours and limited edition products, including Cadbury Dairy Milk Iced Latte and Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscoff. Other popular chocolate bars that come under the Cadbury brand are Wispa, Twirl, Crunchie, Freddo and Flake. For celebrations or groups, the company offers gift boxes, like Roses, Heroes and Milk Tray. Cadbury offers chocolates with a range of flavours from caramel to orange to fruit and nut combinations, and sadly over the years some fan favourites have been discontinued with foodies eager to see them return to supermarket shelves. One example is Cadbury Ritz, a collaboration between the confectionary company and Ritz crackers. According to Discontinued Snacks, this product came in single 35g bars or a multipack with several bars of this size. The bar, which was introduced in 2014, looked like small Ritz rectangular crackers coated in Cadbury milk chocolate. A hobby baker and foodie called Paige loved this sweet treat and shared a video on TikTok creating her own version. In the clip she declared: 'You're wrong if you don't agree that Ritz and Dairy Milk brought out the best chocolate bar but I've had enough of waiting so I had to make my own.' She added: 'Believe it or not, this chocolate bar got discontinued in 2018 and not a day goes by where I don't think about it.' Paige said she has tried others that are similar but found nothing comes close to the original Cadbury and Ritz version. Luckily, she managed to make her own version by sandwiching Ritz crackers in cupcake cases with Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate in the middle for the filling. Paige melted the chocolate and poured it over the bottom cracker in each cupcake wrapper before adding another cracker on top and then putting the treats in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set and harden. The foodie remarked they're 'so easy and quick to make with only two ingredients' and shared she is 'obsessed'. She described them as 'everything I have been craving for all these years'. She also pleaded with Dairy Milk and Ritz to 'please bring that chocolate bar' since it was her 'absolute favourite". Her TikTok video has attracted thousands of views, likes and more than a hundred comments. Some viewers disagreed with Paige's choice to use the cheese flavoured Ritz crackers instead of the salted ones but the chocolate-fan revealed in the comments section they were 'honestly still so good". One user said: 'I didn't expect the cheesy Ritz. I'm down to give it a go, but perhaps I'll just make a couple and do the rest as original.' A different viewer, who was pleased to see Paige's video, added: 'Omg I'm so glad I've seen this, I thought I was imagining the Ritz Dairy Milk as nobody knew what I was talking about! I'm so going to make these thank you!' A third reported: 'Just made them with my daughters! So good.' Someone else chimed in: 'Omg as a vegan who always wanted to try those bars this is genius. I need to try these with vegan chocolate.'
