BEYOND Launches PASSO, a Sculptural Icon on Palm Jumeirah

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BEYOND Developments, the forward-thinking real estate brand shaping lifestyle destinations by the sea, has unveiled PASSO, a sculptural waterfront development located on the prestigious West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah. As BEYOND's first flagship beyond its masterplan in Dubai Maritime City, PASSO marks a defining milestone in the company's strategic growth to one of the world's most iconic and desirable destinations. The project launched with a spectacular Palm Jumeirah event featuring Dubai's first-ever 'screens in the sky' show, a 13-minute performance with over 4,000 drones blending immersive visuals and live stage action. Comprising two sculptural towers, Avita and Bella, PASSO offers 625 residences in a refined mix of layouts. From one-bedroom retreats and two-to-four-bedroom-plus lifestyle homes to expansive five-bedroom penthouses and six ultra-exclusive beachfront mansions, each home is designed to evoke comfort, connection, and effortless elegance. Scheduled for completion in Q3 2029, PASSO reflects BEYOND's commitment to human-centric spaces that promote wellbeing and enrich daily life and presents an exceptional investment opportunity. 'PASSO is not just a new address; it is a strategic leap in our journey to craft places that resonate on a deeper human level,' said Adil Taqi, CEO of BEYOND Developments. 'Its vision is anchored in three pillars: the Address, the Landmark, and the Experience. We believe architecture should do more than shape skylines, it should inspire emotion, foster connection, and create meaningful experiences. Palm Jumeirah, with its international prestige and unparalleled seafront setting, provides the ideal foundation for this philosophy.' Taqi continued, 'Dubai today is more than a thriving metropolis; it is a global benchmark for visionary urbanism. Its leadership, infrastructure, and investment ecosystem continue to set new standards for what cities can become. At BEYOND, we are not simply responding to this momentum; we are actively contributing to it, shaping places, elevating experiences, and defining the future of real estate in the region.' PASSO offers hospitality-inspired residences across three signature collections: Wellness, Elite, and Signature, featuring world-class lifestyle amenities including a shaded Piazza, a 260-square-meter Wellness Pavilion, a Montessori-inspired Kids' Pavilion, cascading pools, 250 meters of private white-sand beach, rooftop sky gardens, a 360-degree infinity pool with uninterrupted sea and skyline views. As BEYOND continues to grow its presence across the UAE and globally, PASSO stands as a confident expression of its evolving legacy.

22 Affordable Athleisure Pieces You Can Wear To The Gym, On A Flight, Running Errands, Or Just On Your Couch

An affordable, Lululemon-esque longline sports bra so comfy, supportive, and versatile that reviewers love it both for outdoor workouts, gym use, *and* errand running. This is designed to be supportive without being too compressive, with lightweight fabric that keeps you breezy in the heat. And another Lululemon-inspired piece, a charming and oh-so-comfortable tennis skirt with built-in shorts similar to the Align style. The secret inner pocket on these is perfect for stashing keys and tennis balls, and the shorts are designed with a four-way stretch so they won't ride up. A square-neck compressive body suit that's basically ten outfits in one — you can rock it solo, wear it as a bodysuit tucked into jeans, or pair it with a hoodie or a jacket. Go, little base layer, gooooo! A pair of ~Dreamlux~ leggings made with an oh-so-buttery soft material reviewers compare to Lululemon's Align ... but WAY cheaper. If you're looking for a reliably squatproof, comfy, compressive legging, look no further than these. And a pair of high-waisted crossover flare leggings your butt will thank you for in advance — these are the ultimate in comfort and breathability while still staying on trend. Reviewers who have more expensive pairs from Lululemon, GymShark, and Aerie actually say they *prefer* these over them. A pair of Buff Bunny–inspired booty-highlighting biker shorts for anyone who wants to add some fun prints and colors to their favorite ~asset~ when they're on the move, for a fraction of the usual $48 price. A ridiculously soft oversize hoodie reviewers compare to $$ brands like Skims, Aritzia, and Abercrombie. You know how on TikTok sometimes people say "this hoodie hoodies" like it's a noun and a verb? Enter this cult-favorite, reviewer-beloved hoodie, which does, in fact, hoodie. A super lightweight, loose-fitting, high-neck muscle tank for fans of the Lululemon version at a *much* lower price point. This is a breezy *dream* thanks to the quick-dry fabric, the cross-over pleat in the back, and the slight petal hem at the bottom. A "bare feel" slim-fitted workout top designed with such soft, stretchy fabric that you'll feel breezier than you ever have in long sleeves. If you're a human who loves to layer, this is an option you'll definitely want in your athleisure arsenal. A lightweight pair of UPF 50 hiking pants for anyone who wants REI or Patagonia-quality gear without the big ole price tag. These wrinkle-free, quick-dry, MANY-POCKETED pants are a must-have for busy travelers and outdoorsy humans. A cozy, delightfully polished yoga tracksuit set that lives comfortably at the intersection of "yes, I am going to do some mindful exercise later" and "I could drop and take a nap on a random couch at any time." This ultra-soft, wrinkle-resistant, lightweight set is a major fan-favorite of reviewers on long haul flights. A trusty cropped fleece pullover with trendy exposed seams reviewers compare to a popular mall brand version that typically goes for $128. This lightweight piece is a perfect "just in case" layer to throw in your bag, depending on the shifts in the weather (or the gym's DEEPLY TEMPERAMENTAL AC). A pair of elevated, effortlessly chic wide leg petal sweatpants that look like they fell out of an Anthropologie ad. Reviewers love how cozy and breathable these are, and that the style is perfect for indoor lounging *and* outdoor errands. A sleeveless tennis sundress for anyone whose fitness goals always include a checkbox for "be as cute as possible." This dress features a full built-in compressive romper on the inside for support while you're moving and grooving, making it an excellent option for travel, too. A pair of zebra print leggings for an unexpected ~pop~ of fun at the gym, because life is entirely too short to waste on boring leggings. These are designed with a comfortable four-way stretch with a raised, comfortable waistband for the ultimate in comfy function. A pair of lightweight legging-style joggers reviewers swear by for perfect Lululemon Align Jogger alternatives, especially because the wickaway fabric feels cozy and ~expensive~ at the same time. If you are a fan of wide-cut flat waistbands, you need to invest in a pair of these, stat. A Happiness Runs crop top from FP Movement that I am frankly *obsessed* with and own in six colors. It's super comfy and just the right amount of compressive for casual wear — a lot of reviewers swear by it for yoga, pilates, and errand running. A pair of wide-leg high-waisted yoga pants for the *ultimate* in sophisticated comfort — particularly since these are basically work pants in camouflage. Are they for yoga class or corporate nonsense?? That's nobody's business but yours and your booty's. 🥰 A pair of Nike Pro 365 bike shorts well-known for the perfect amount of compression and Dri-FIT tech fabric that keeps you cool even in the sweatiest of circumstances. Reviewers especially love the care that went into designing them so they don't ride up! A "Second Skin" set so breezy and lightweight that it's designed to feel like it's not even there. Bonus — because these come in a set, they're also fun to mix and match based on the vibe! A trendy, oh-so-comfortable cinched jumpsuit a ton of reviewers *swear* by as the ultimate travel and lounge piece, since it is easy to pack as a "one and done" outfit, matches any kind of shoe or outer layer vibe, and is ridiculously cozy to boot. A pair of Nike-inspired oversize fleece cargo joggers complete with POCKETS, made with a cotton blend so satisfyingly soft that it'll be a miracle if you ever pull yourself out of Lounge Hound Mode again.

Athleta's CEO is out and being replaced by a woman with a long track record at Nike

Only six years ago, Gap Inc was telling investors that its Athleta yoga clothing brand was on its way to becoming a $2 billion-a-year brand as it attracted legions of fans drawn to its high quality, hip activewear that was less expensive than that of Lululemon Athletica. But that was two CEOs ago. Gap Inc, which also owns Old Navy and Banana Republic, said on Tuesday that it was replacing Athleta CEO Chris Blakeslee, tapping Maggie Gauger, a 20-year veteran of Nike, to try her hand at re-invigorating a brand that had once been seen as a key motor for Gap Inc's growth despite being smaller than its sister brands. The once high-flying brand has faltered since sales peaked at $1.45 billion four years ago. Last year, the business's sales came in at $1.353 billion, roughly on par with the year before, and then declined sharply in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. Gauger's appointment marks a return to having a woman CEO at the helm of a brand known for its 'Power of She' slogan and being a label for women and girls and empowering them in the world of sports. 'Maggie blends proven business transformation capabilities, deep consumer centricity, product fluency, and a heartfelt commitment to empowering women and girls,' said Gap Inc CEO Richard Dickson, who has been leading a company wide turnaround for two years now, in a statement. When Blakeslee's appointment, made before Dickson became chief executive, was announced exactly two years ago, there was palpable excitement and the perception that landing him was a coup. After all, Blakeslee had come from Athleta rival Alo Yoga and Bella+Canvas, where he had doubled sales to $1 billion in just a few years. What's more, Alo was, and still is, generating a ton of buzz and challenging the supremacy of long time category leaders like Lululemon. But Blakeslee, who had inherited a brand dealing with a spate of product flops and an athleisure-wear trend that was peaking, was unable to generate the same heat at Athleta. (He replaced Mary Beth Laughton, now CEO of REI, in 2023 a few months after she left in the wake of what Gap Inc's former interim CEO Bob Martin called ongoing 'product acceptance challenges.') After stanching the bleeding in 2024, Athleta's declines resumed this year. The 8% drop in comparable sales in the first quarter reported in May at Athleta may well have sealed Blakeslee's fate. 'Work is being done to reset the brand and improve product and marketing which will take time,' Gap Inc said tersely in its earnings report in May. So it will be up to Gauger, whose last job at Nike was leading its North America women's business, to address slow innovation, to renew a focus on the performance aspect of its clothing that had become more focused on chasing fashion trends, alienating long time loyalists in the process, and make clearer to consumers how Athleta is different in a very crowded segment in North American where even Lululemon has seen growth cool. At Nike, Gauger focused on generating growth and customer loyalty for Nike's active and athleisure products. 'I'm energized to bring my experience working at the intersection of sport, style and culture to Athleta, a brand with strong purpose and still so much untapped potential,' said Maggie Gauger. Since Dickson's arrival, Gap's namesake brand and Old Navy have seen their fortunes improve, helped by a quicker cadence of innovation and a bigger effort to connect the brands to the broader culture. So it's not surprising that Dickson would want someone of his choosing to do the same for the Athleta brand. This story was originally featured on
