Video: Nancy Mace shares 'nude' photos taken without her consent, accuses ex-fiancé

Al Bawaba21-05-2025
ALBAWABA - US Representative Nancy Mace has once again made headlines after sharing a "naked silhouette" of her body during a House hearing, alleging that they were taken without her consent by her ex-fiancé, Patrick Bryant.
During the "surveillance in private spaces" hearing on Tuesday, Mace explained how she was a victim of non-consensual filming and sexual assault, accusing Bryant and other unnamed men of the act.
Nancy Mace said, "Freedom is not a theory. It is the right to breathe. It is the right to dress and undress, to sleep without someone's camera filming your naked body."
Aside from the naked silhouette,
The congresswoman then revealed a screenshot of an alleged naked silhouette and said, "Behind me is a screenshot from one of the videos I found of myself. The yellow circle, my naked silhouette, is my naked body."
Before the hearing, Nancy Mace took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, "Today I will show my naked body on one of the videos predator and rapist Patrick Bryant took of me and many other women."
In response, Bryant denied the allegations in question, deeming them "false and outrageous" and will "take additional steps to clear his name at the right time."
He added that it was a mistake "loving and trusting someone who later weaponized our relationship."

White House defends Sydney Sweeney amid eugenics Ad backlash—is this helping or hurting her?

ALBAWABA - You may have seen that Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle are getting a lot of bad press for their new jeans ads. A lot of people have said bad things about the new jeans promotion, from how sexualized Sydney is to the way she speaks. Some people have said that there are racial themes and links to eugenics, which is probably what people have talked about the most. In this case, the campaign's slogan is "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans," and it's made clear that the whole thing is a play on Sydney's "great genes." Some people are upset that Sydney's genes as a blonde, blue-eyed, white woman are praised, and they say that AE is supporting eugenics and "white supremacy." American Eagle Instagram profile One of the clips that received the most backlash centers on Sydney saying, 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.' The social media pages of AE seem to have been hacked to get this video. Especially in the current political climate, being accused of promoting whiteness is not a great look for the brand, nor for Sydney, who has previously had to address 'misinterpretations' about her and her family's political stance after people on her Instagram page were seen wearing MAGA-style hats. It's important to note that Sydney has stayed politically neutral in public even though her family has been talked about. The government has now joined the public discussion about the AE, which is still going on. On July 29, White House communications manager Steven Cheung took to X to share a screenshot of an MSNBC headline suggesting that the AE ad is indicative of an 'unbridled cultural shift toward whiteness.' Cheung said that the response was "cancel culture gone wild" and criticized "dense liberal thinking." Cancel culture run amok. This warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking is a big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024. They're tired of this bullshit. — Steven Cheung (@StevenCheung47) July 29, 2025 'This warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking is a big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024,' he wrote. "This crap is getting old for them." As you might expect, the White House's answer has made people talk even more about Sydney and the contentious campaign. People are very angry about the latest comments online, with many pointing out that it hasn't made things better and that it's not good for Sydney that the Trump administration is supporting her.

Video: Amusement park game splits in half in Saudi Arabia

ALBAWABA - A terrifying video has flooded social media, capturing a game breaking in half while operating at Green Mountain Amusement Park in Taif, Saudi Arabia. According to Saudi outlet Okaz, the ride called "360 Degrees" left 23 people injured, some seriously, after its arm suddenly broke, clashed with the game's pole at high speed, and then fell to the ground. Additionally, people on the opposite side also collided with the pole. A social media user on X (formerly known as Twitter) claimed a woman on board the ride got her leg amputated due to the accident. The user wrote, "One of them, may God heal her, and compensate her, her leg was amputated because the ride fell on her, and she fainted." Another wrote, "Who is responsible for the Green Mountain games in Taif? And which entity granted the permit without verifying safety and maintenance conditions?" Other Saudi Arabian netizens called for compensation for the people affected by the accident. Additionally, they urged the government in Saudi Arabia to take the necessary legal actions against individuals responsible for the accident. Local authorities launched an investigation to uncover the cause of the incident.

US Senate rejects bids to block arms sales to Israel over Gaza

Ammon News - Two resolutions that would have blocked arms sales to Israel in response to civilian casualties in Gaza were blocked in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, although they garnered more support than similar measures earlier this year. The two resolutions were introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent aligned with Democrats. They failed by 73 to 24 and 70 to 27 in the 100-member chamber in voting late on Wednesday night. Similar measures, also introduced by Sanders, failed by 82-15 and 83-15 in April. A decades-long tradition of strong bipartisan support for Israel in the U.S. Congress means resolutions to stop weapons sales are unlikely to pass, but backers hope raising the issue will encourage Israel's government and the U.S. administration to do more to protect civilians. All of the votes for the resolutions came from Democrats, with all of President Donald Trump's fellow Republicans opposed. Sanders said in a statement he was pleased that a majority of the Democratic caucus had backed the effort. "The tide is turning. The American people do not want to spend billions to starve children in Gaza," Sanders said. "The Democrats are moving forward on this issue, and I look forward to Republican support in the near future." Reuters
