Anderson died at a Los Angeles hospital following a prolonged illness, said her longtime publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan.
"We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother," Anderson's family said in a statement.
WKRP in Cincinnati aired from 1978-1982 and was set in a lagging Ohio radio station trying to reinvent itself with rock music.
The cast included Gary Sandy, Tim Reid, Howard Hesseman, Frank Bonner and Jan Smithers, alongside Anderson as the sexy and smart Jennifer Marlowe.
As the stations receptionist, the blonde and high-heeled Jennifer used her sex appeal to deflect unwanted business calls for her boss, Mr. Carlson.
Her efficiency often kept the station running in the face of others incompetence.
The role earned her two Emmy Award and three Golden Globe nominations.
Anderson starred on the big screen alongside Burt Reynolds in the 1983 comedy Stroker Ace and the two later married and became tabloid fixtures before divorcing in 1994.
Anderson is survived by her husband Bob Flick, daughter Deidra and son-in law Charlie Hoffman, son Quinton Anderson Reynolds, grandchildren McKenzie and Megan Hoffman, stepson Adam Flick and wife Helene, step-grandchildren Felix and Maximilian.

The traffic stop involving the Crank That (Soulja Boy) artist took place at around 2:30 a.m. on Melrose Avenue, LAPD officials told NBCLA. Police told TMZ that 'officers spotted a firearm in' the vehicle the Turn My Swag On performer had been in. It was not immediately clear why the vehicle the Yahhh! artist was riding in was initially pulled over. Daily Mail has reached out to the LAPD for further comment on the story. The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was arrested in connection with suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm Soulja Boy previously took to Instagram Stories Saturday sharing a series of clips documenting a busy weekend following his 35th birthday, which was last Monday. Soulja Boy included frames of his trip to his SODMG Brand clothing store off Melrose Avenue, the LA shopping thoroughfare where he was arrested early Sunday. Soulja Boy, who was past involved with Blac Chyna, captioned the shot, 'Who's sliding with me?' Soulja Boy, who has past clashed with Kanye West, also shared footage from inside his SODMG Brand studios. Inside, the studio was decorated with a plaque commemorating 23,000,000 streams on Spotify and another boasting over 1 billion streams on seperate platform. In April, a Los Angeles court ordered him to pay $4 million in compensatory damages in connection with a sexual assault case he was involved in amid allegations from an ex-assistant. Soulja Boy told Rolling Stone at the time of the court decision that he has never been 'charged or convicted of this, criminally,' in reference to sexual assault. 'The district attorney never filed charges,' he said. 'So, to be accused of this civilly is beyond me. I've never done any of the things they're accusing me of. I just feel like this is very unfair.' He later told the publication in a statement: 'I want to make it clear that I'm innocent. This case was never about justice. 'It was about money and personal gain, and I will not let that stand. I am committed to filing an appeal and fighting for the truth to be revealed.'

Ed Kelce shares picture of Taylor Swift with his late girlfriend as Travis and Jason's dad mourns her death

Ed Kelce has shared a picture of his late girlfriend, Maureen Maguire, meeting Taylor Swift as he mourns her death. Maguire died on Friday at the age of 74, according to her obituary, surrounded by loved ones. Travis and Jason's father Ed posted the obituary on his Facebook to announce the news but has not otherwise commented so far on her death. He has, however, now shared pictures from their time together. The snap of Swift with the couple shows the three of them in Kansas City Chiefs merch, with the singer holding a card and what appears to be a friendship bracelet. Kelce also shared a photograph with Maguire from Saturday Night Live in March 2023 in New York, when three-time Super Bowl winner Travis was the guest host. In an interview last year with the Los Angeles Times, Kelce revealed how his girlfriend and Swift had struck up a bond. Maguire, according to Kelce, jokingly told Swift 'hey, that's my boyfriend' when the singer took a selfie with Travis and Jason's father at an NFL game. Maguire's obituary describes how, thanks to Kelce's influence, she developed a strong interest in football in the later years of her life. 'She also grew an unexpected love for football later in life, sharing many laughs and adventures with her beloved friend Ed Kelce and her loyal dog Butch,' the obituary said. 'Together, they traveled often and attended football games and concerts, and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.' It isn't known when Ed first met Maureen, or how. But Ed and Donna Kelce, the mother of Travis and Jason, went their separate ways after nearly 25 years of marriage around the time their sons were at college. They remain friends to this day, with Travis and Jason becoming two of the most famous names in the NFL. 'I don't hate him. We're friends to this day. We get along great,' Donna once said of her ex-husband Ed. 'We were like a tag team with you two (Travis and Jason). We got to do all sorts of fun things. When one of you had to go out of town, the other person would help with the other child. It was perfect.' In a 2023 documentary about the family, Ed explained that he and Donna stayed together to be better parents. 'If we had split as we probably both would have preferred, that would have been a nightmare with the logistics, getting kids where they had to be and providing all the support,' he said. Travis and Jason have not yet commented on Maguire's passing. Travis is currently in training camp with the Chiefs ahead of the upcoming 2025 season, which for his team starts on September 5 in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Kelce family saw their fame reach unprecedented levels in September 2023, when Travis and Taylor's romance was confirmed by Swift attending a Chiefs game alongside Donna at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Ed, who is also 74, recently told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview how Maureen was with him when he met the singer for the first time. Since then, he has forged a close bond with one of music's biggest ever stars. Swift even seemingly refers to Ed in her song 'So High School'. 'I feel like laughing in the middle of practice / To that impression you did of your dad again,' Swift sings - Travis has repeatedly performed an impersonation of his dad on his New Heights podcast, which he hosts with his brother Jason. Ed has always spoken glowingly about Swift and her influence on his son - who affectionatelty calls him 'Papa'. He described her as 'a very smart, young lady' and 'a joy to be around' before February's Super Bowl.
