Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams has priceless response to being called a nepo-baby because of his football legend dad
The personal trainer and semi-professional footballer, 26, from London, is one of the singletons ready to find The One on the upcoming series of the ITV2 dating show.
Dejon currently plays for Bedford Town, having previously played for Oxford United, Wealdstone and the Grenada national team.
But he already had connections in the sporting world from his father Gifton Noel-Williams, 45, who has played for Stoke City, Watford and Burnley.
Ahead of the first episode of the reality programme hitting our screens on Monday, he reacted to being called a nepo baby because of his starry family.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
He said: 'I'm sorry, what's a nepo baby?'
Dejon added while laughing: 'This is the first time I've ever heard of nepo baby, and this is no joke. I've never heard it before.
'The first time I've been called a nepo baby. I don't know how to react!'
He has previously said: 'My dad being an ex-professional footballer, I've met all kinds of famous people through him.
'When I was younger it was weird because he was just my dad, but we'd go to a game and fans were asking for photos.
'I've met David Beckham, he was really nice.'
Dejon's dad Gifton, a former Premier League striker, began his professional football career in 1996 and last played for Codicote in 2017 before retiring.
During his time at Watford from 1996 to 2003, he was teammates with none other than Micah Hyde - the father of 2023 Love Island star Tyrique Hyde.
Gifton and Micah looked to have been good friends, with their sons Dejon and Tyrique being the same age.
And according to The Sun, Dejon is pals with Tyrique, who made it all the way to the final on Love Island two years ago with then-girlfriend Ella Thomas.
The two boys both followed in their fathers' footsteps by becoming footballers themselves.
And in his role as a personal trainer, Dejon also counts Tyrique as one of his clients, with the duo often sharing videos of them working out at the gym together.
Asked what he was looking for in a girl in the villa, Dejon said he wanted someone who 'is beautiful on the inside and out, looks after themselves and is healthy'.
Tyrique shot to fame on the 2023 series with his romance with Ella being heavily tested with some dramatic ups and downs.
They exited the villa together, but shortly after announced they'd split in November 2023, before trying to give it another go.
But, in February 2024, MailOnline exclusively revealed Ella and Tyrique had parted ways permanently - after six months as a couple.
Meanwhile, Dejon is not the only footballing connection in the upcoming series of Love Island, as fans of the lower leagues may have spotted a star dubbed 'The Surrey Zidane' (pictured)
Harry Cooksley (pictured), 29, is a midfielder for Southern League Premier South side Farnham Town, while also working as a gold trader and model
A source told MailOnline: 'Ella and Tyrique have decided it's time to go their separate ways.
'They have such love for each other, but they often struggle to get along and as viewers saw in the villa, they're always arguing.'

Harry Cooksley, 29, is a midfielder for Southern League Premier South side Farnham Town, while also working as a gold trader and model.
But more interestingly, his pastimes include being a body double for Arsenal and England star Declan Rice.
Harry revealed: 'So when he does a shoot, any body close ups will actually be me. You'll never see my face, but you'll see my shoulder or chest, that kind of thing.'
Love Island will be available to watch on ITV2 and to stream on ITVX from June 9.

Bishop who interrupted church concert in his dressing down formally apologises to choir
A bishop who interrupted a church concert in his dressing gown - and told singers to "leave his house" - has formally apologised to the choir. Jonathan Baker was filmed standing barefoot at a microphone as he criticised performers for making a "terrible racket" at St Andrew's Church in central London. Addressing the City Academy Voices choir directly, the bishop of Fulham said: "I write to apologise for the distress and offence I caused in bringing the concert to a premature end. "This should not have happened … I also apologise for remarks which were made in haste, and which have understandably caused hurt and distress." Mr Baker had demanded for the performance to stop because it was 10pm - and says he didn't realise the choir had booked the church until 11pm. He added: "I have lived here on site at St Andrew's for 10 years, for much of which City Academy has rehearsed and performed here. "You have been, and continue to be, welcome - and I hope that you will be able to continue the relationship with us. "I can give you every assurance that the events of Friday evening will not recur, and I apologise again to performers (especially those unable to perform at the end of the evening) and the audience alike." The choir was performing to a 300-strong audience in Holborn when the lights were suddenly turned off, with Mr Baker declaring the concert was "over". A church employee then asked the crowd to leave quietly and for the musicians to step down from the stage, attracting boos from the audience. The choir went on to perform one last song, an A cappella version of ABBA's Dancing Queen, before bringing their show to a close. One member of the audience, who was attending with his 10-year-old daughter, told Sky News he initially thought the interruption was a staged joke. Benedict Collins had said: "This work deserves respect, not to be disparaged as a 'terrible racket'. The people here had put their heart and soul into it. "The bishop cut them off in midstream, preventing soloists who had worked their hardest from singing - and preventing the audience, which included people of all ages, from enjoying it to the end." The choir have said it was "upsetting" that they were unable to finish their show as planned, but "hold no hard feelings and wish the bishop well".

Revealed: Jack Ginnivan's message to fired up Adelaide Crows fans after flipping them the bird
Hawthorn forward Jack Ginnivan is happy to play the villain - and his combative nature was on full display with Adelaide Crows fans on Friday night. While the hosts won by 14 points to become the new AFL ladder leaders on percentages, Ginnivan became an instant talking point after 'flipping the bird' to rival supporters as he made his way off Adelaide Oval. And well aware a fine will follow from the AFL for his conduct, Ginnivan was anything but remorseful. The 22-year-old later posted on Instagram next to vision of the incident: 'best coin spent.' Despite the Hawks' defeat, Ginnivan was a standout, finished the game with 20 disposals and a brilliant goal which briefly silenced the locals. Ginnivan also isn't the first AFL star to give fans the middle finger salute this season. During West Coast's loss to Brisbane at the Gabba in round two, former No.1 draft pick Harley Reid stuck his middle finger up at Lions fans. The AFL later fined him $1000. And following Geelong's victory over the Crows at Adelaide Oval in round five, midfielder Bailey Smith produced a double-finger salute as he walked up the tunnel, resulting in a $1000 fine. Speaking in the post-game press conference, Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks hailed the character of his side. The Crows kicked six goals to two in the final quarter after trailing by eight points at three-quarter time. 'There was a lot of pressure,' Nicks said. 'To reset the way we did, the maturity our boys was another way to win in what was a finals atmosphere.' The Crows were superbly led by Irish-born defender Mark Keane (21 disposals, six marks), halfback Wayne Milera (19 touches) and winger Dan Curtin (20, six inside 50s). Attacking trio Thilthorpe, Rankine and Walker were ever-present threats while captain Jordan Dawson (21 disposals, 11 tackles) kicked two team-lifting goals in five minutes. Hawthorn (13-7) remain fifth - only a win ahead of ninth spot - with fresh concern over injury-troubled midfielder Will Day, who limped from the field late on. 'I don't have an answer yet,' Hawks coach Sam Mitchell said when quizzed about Day's condition. Collingwood can reclaim top spot if they beat the Brisbane Lions in a blockbuster at the MCG on Saturday night.
