Taking girlfriend Abi Harrison to a lookout spot at sunset, David made her turnaround to look at the view before dropping to his knee behind her.
Noticing something was up, Abi turned around and immediately said yes, with the pair embracing as the sun went down.
In a collection of photos on Instagram, David shared the happy moment, as well as a look at the square-cut diamond ring as they celebrated.
He wrote alongside the pic: "This years Ibiza turned out to be a bit more eventful than normal."
Friends and fans alike were quick to swarm the pair with celebratory messages, congratulating them on their upcoming nuptials.
James Sutton, who plays John-Paul McQueen, led the celebrations with a simple: "YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
Isabelle Smith, who plays Frankie Osbourne, added: "congratulations !!! ❤️❤️❤️"
Abi and David have been together since 2019, with the couple going on to have two children together over the past six years.
The pair had been together less than a year when they decided to move in together due to the Covid lockdown.
Hollyoaks' David Tag reveals he's opening his own gym after struggling to find work after being killed off soap-
Their first baby boy, Reuben, was born in 2021, with the couple welcoming their second child - another boy named Kaspar - in 2023.
David joined Hollyoaks in 2018 as Sylver, part of the ever-growing McQueen family.
The adopted brother of Goldie McQueen, he arrived in Chester having spent 18 years in prison after being accused of murdering Goldie's abusive biological father.
He went on to marry cousin Mercedes McQueen in 2019, and later killed his adoptive mother Breda – who turned out to be a serial killer.
In the four years he lived in the Hollyoaks village, Sylver found himself consistently in tricky situations: discovering he had a daughter, who later tried to make Mercedes look mentally unwell in order to gain his affection, ending up in a coma when that went wrong, before eventually dying in a building collapse.
Since leaving the show, David has launched his own fitness business and appearing in indie flick, Departures.

Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad What to expect from Parenthood? Narrated by the living legend that is Sir David Attenborough, this six-part series is about the challenges faced by animal parents around the world. Each episode focuses on animals in different environments across the globe - from oceans to grasslands and jungles. The show will showcase "astonishing, never-before-seen animal behaviours in stunning 6K ultra high definition'. It features music from Tom Howe - who scored Ted Lasso. Jeff Wilson, Parenthood's producer and director, added: 'There have been countless programmes on the animal babies, and whilst full of adorable animals, they have missed the fact that the majority of the narrative in raising young lies with the parents - the choices they make around the environment they bring their young into, the home they create, the relentless need to provide food, the constant protection from threats, the life experiences that their offspring need to be exposed to before they can become truly independent - all of these are mini-dramas in their own right. 'I hope our audience recognise the universal story of parenthood, and that wild animals and humans, have more in common than you might think. By recognising our similarities, we can find an empathy and perhaps even a solution to creating a better world for all of our young.' Who knew Tommy had such celeb connections? Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LOVE Islander Tommy Bradley may no longer be in the villa, but he's found his way into the spotlight once more after sharing his unexpected link to Oasis star Liam Gallagher. The landscape gardener from Hertfordshire, 22, known for his washboard abs, was savagely dumped from the ITV2 show almost three weeks ago alongside villa flame, Lucy Quinn. On GK Barry's podcast Saving Grace, Tommy talked about his life before and after being a Love Island contestant. 'When I tell people I do gardening and stuff it doesn't sound as good, but we'd go to footballers' houses and celebrities,' Tommy said. GK asked Tommy who the most famous person he worked for was, and he replied with no hesitation that it had to be Liam Galllagher. 'I'm a massive Oasis fan and there was a point in time when a company I joined used to do his maintenance, cut his grass, cut back hedges, stuff like that, general tidy-up,' Tommy said. Though Tommy unfortunately didn't get to spend too long working for the star as shortly after he started, Liam moved while his home went under renovation. 'I was really unlucky - I joined that company when he [Liam] moved out for building work, his house was being renovated. He moved to the Cotswolds,' Tommy said. 'I was only at that company for three months, they only wanted me for the summer, and when I left he moved back in. I was actually gutted.' Tommy still remains hopeful that he'll have a chance to meet the music legends of Oasis in the future, as Liam's niece, Anais, reached out to him on TikTok. 'Noel Gallagher's daughter commented on my TikTok and I was buzzing,' Tommy said. Love Island fans furious as Tommy slams Shakira as b----- and a 'mean girl' as he speaks out on dumping 'I then went on Instagram and saw she follows me so I followed her back and she sent a video of Noel and Liam on stage and I messaged her like, 'Counting down the days.'' Tommy continued: 'I'm going in September at Wembley. She asked me what show I'm going to and I told her. She liked the message but that's all it's been left at.' 5 Tommy has been talking to Anais on various social media platforms Credit: instagram 5 The news comes around the same time as Tommy and Lucy calling it quits Credit: Shutterstock Editorial

Laura Hamilton furiously hits back at troll who claims she's 'too old' for a bikini

Presenter Laura Hamilton clapped back at a troll who said she's 'too old' for a bikini, winning praise from fans for her confident response A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has publicly addressed an online remark claiming she was 'too old' to wear a bikini, responding with a defiant post on social media. ‌ The 43‑year‑old revealed earlier this week that she had read the comment on one of her recent Instagram posts. Instead of ignoring it, Hamilton used the opportunity to speak out about body confidence and ageism. ‌ She shared a new photo showing herself sitting poolside in a blue and white bikini, along with a video of her relaxing on a day-bed with her daughter. It comes after the A Place In The Sun presenter shared an 'exciting' update as fans 'congratulated' the star. ‌ In the caption, she asked: 'Who decides when we're 'too old' for anything?' She went on to explain: 'I recently read a comment saying I was too old to wear a bikini… and it honestly made me stop and think for a second. But then I reminded myself, life's way too short to worry about what other people think.' Hamilton said her decision to wear the swimsuit that day had nothing to do with the comment. 'Today I'm wearing a swimsuit, not because of the comment I read but because I wanted to and I feel comfortable in it,' she wrote. Addressing her followers directly, she added: 'We all have days when we feel self‑conscious, but we deserve to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the pool - whatever makes us happy - no matter our age and whether we choose to wear a swimsuit or a bikini!!' ‌ She concluded her post with the message: 'Live your life and feel good in your own skin.' Fans flooded the comments section with messages of support, praising Hamilton's confidence and refusal to be shamed. ‌ One follower wrote: 'You look incredible and are such an inspiration to women everywhere. Age means nothing when you look and feel great.' Another commented: 'Ignore the trolls. You're beautiful, confident and showing that style and grace have no age limit.' ‌ A third added: 'Thank you for speaking up. I'm in my forties too and often feel judged for wearing what I want - you've just given me the confidence to stop caring.' Others pointed out that Laura's message was not just about appearance, but about rejecting outdated ideas of what women can and cannot do as they get older. Since joining A Place In The in Sun back in 2011, Laura has become a familiar face and is the second-longest serving presenter, with Jasmine Harman starring on the programme since 2004. ‌ But after more than a decade, viewers might wonder if Laura is considering a departure. When asked about her future on the show, Laura shared: "I've been in television and the industry for a very long time. "Since I was 18! So I got into presenting when I was 22, and I very much hope to be continuing filming, filming with A Place in the Sun and new property stuff. I am actively involved in property away from any TV-related stuff that I do." ‌ Despite the show airing for an hour each weekday, Laura disclosed that the behind-the-scenes work stretches across five days, giving the team ample time to understand the needs of the house hunters. She expressed: "I guess they feel like they know us because the show is the second longest-running show on Channel 4. "So people do feel like they know us and they're comfortable with us. It's great for me, it's the perfect thing! A bit of travel, a bit of property and the people!"
