Delhi NCR-based home services startup Pronto has raised USD 2 million in a seed funding round from Bain Capital, valuing the company at USD 12.5 million.
The funds will be deployed to expand operations, grow the team, and launch in newer cities as the company ramps up its rapid home services model.
Founded in October 2024 by Anjali Sardana, a BS Biology graduate and former investor at Bain Capital and 8VC, Pronto enables users to book cleaning, laundry, and domestic help services within 10 minutes. The startup assigns professionals for tasks like dishwashing, mopping, and clothes washing, riding the quick commerce wave pioneered by Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.
"We are on a mission to create two million jobs in two years. We're growing hyper fast and scaling our team rapidly to meet demand," said Sardana. "Building in a tough, often misunderstood space isn't easy. But we've stayed focused on what matters—earning trust, delivering value, and scaling responsibly. Grateful for Bain Capital Ventures' belief in our mission to transform domestic work in India," she added in a LinkedIn post.
Pronto's funding comes just weeks after its direct competitor Snabbit raised USD 5.5 million in a Series A round led by Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. Both startups are taking on the likes of IPO-bound Urban Company by offering faster, tech-enabled alternatives for household chores.
While some users remain skeptical of the need for instant domestic services, investor confidence in quick commerce remains strong. Since 2021, India has seen a surge in startups innovating around rapid service delivery—from groceries to fashion. While Pronto and Snabbit tackle home services, others like Slikk are reimagining fast fashion, showing the broader potential of India's quick commerce ecosystem.

Leaked renders offer an early look at Samsung's official Galaxy Z Flip 7 cases

Evan Blass TL;DR Samsung may offer four official cases and a screen protector for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7. The clamshell foldable could get a basic clear case with a grip, a clear magnet case, a silicone case in four colorways, and a Kindsuit case in three finishes. Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the cheaper foldable may not get an official carbon fiber case. Hot on the heels of a leak revealing Samsung's official Galaxy Z Fold 7 cases, a new report has unveiled the full lineup of accessories expected for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. If accurate, the compact foldable could launch with four case options and an anti-reflective screen protector. Android Headlines has managed to dig up official renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 accessories, which give us an early look at the device's clear case, clear magnet case, silicone case, Kindsuit case, and anti-reflective film. The clear magnet case appears to be the only new addition, while the remaining options look the same as the ones Samsung offered with last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6. The clear case is a minimal two-piece case that protects both halves of the device and features a ring-shaped grip on the bottom half. The clear magnet case replaces this grip with a ring of magnets that will make the Flip 7 compatible with Qi2 chargers and accessories. Both cases feature a raised lip at the top to protect the cameras from scratches. Except for its material, the silicone case looks nearly identical to the regular clear case. Samsung may offer it in black, blue, coral red, and mint color options that match the rumored Flip 7 colorways. While Samsung appears to have swapped the Kindsuit case with a new Carbon Shield case in its Fold 7 accessory lineup, its cheaper foldable doesn't seem to be getting a similar upgrade. The company will still offer a Kindsuit case for the device in black, taupe, and camel colorways. Lastly, Samsung will release an anti-reflective screen protector for the Flip 7's larger cover screen, featuring a pill-shaped camera cutout. It will ship with an alignment tool for easy application, a squeegee, a microfiber cloth, and dust removal stickers. Although Samsung hasn't made major changes to the case lineup for its clamshell foldable, that might not be a bad thing, since last year's designs offer solid, all-around protection. The same can't be said for Samsung's official Galaxy Z Fold 7 cases, which may only protect the device's back panel. Reserve the next Galaxy for $50 Samsung Credit and a chance to win $5,000! China Shuns US Oil for Longest Stretch Since 2018

China avoided purchasing US crude for the third straight month — the longest stretch since 2018 — delivering a fresh blow to shale drillers already facing lower oil prices. The world's biggest oil importer bought no American crude in May, according to US Census data released Thursday, following zero purchases in both March and April as a trade dispute between the largest global economies roiled markets. The absence of Chinese buying sent US overseas oil sales tumbling to the lowest in two years.

As Samsung tests the tri-fold waters, a major rival is readying a second-gen model

Paul Jones / Android Authority TL;DR HUAWEI is reportedly planning to launch its next-generation tri-fold phone later this year. This successor to the Mate XT Ultimate Design could arrive before Samsung's first tri-fold even hits the shelves. The new HUAWEI foldable is expected to improve on the Mate XT's durability and performance. Today's leaks may have given us clues that Samsung's first tri-fold foldable is edging closer to release, but it seems like one of its top competitors may already be another step ahead by then. According to South Korean publication The Bell (h/t Jukan Choi on X), HUAWEI plans to launch its next-generation tri-fold phone later this year. The device is expected to improve on the durability and performance of the original Mate XT Ultimate Design, which launched in China last September and went global in February. That phone reportedly sold over 400,000 units within its first two months on sale. Meanwhile, Samsung's tri-fold plans are finally coming into clearer view. Earlier today, we shared exclusive images from One UI 8 showing its design for the first time, revealing two inward-folding hinges in a G-shaped fold rather than the Mate XT's S-shaped fold. The Bell reports that Samsung will start small-scale production of its tri-fold in September, with a release expected in the fourth quarter, but availability may be limited to South Korea and China, and it certainly won't be cheap. Specs-wise, Samsung's tri-fold — possibly launching as the Galaxy G Fold — is tipped to feature a 10-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a camera setup similar to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, including a 200MP primary sensor. However, its slim design could mean a smaller battery than HUAWEI's Mate XT, which houses a sizable 5,600mAh cell. We reviewed the Mate XT earlier this year, and while its sky-high price and lack of Google services limited its practicality, there was no denying its engineering appeal. Now, with HUAWEI already working on a refined sequel before Samsung's first tri-fold even hits shelves, the battle for these ultra-premium foldables is only getting more intense. Got a tip?
