One such dream that was close to Shefali's heart was her desire to adopt a child.
In an interview with Bollywood Life, Jariwala had openly spoken about her desire to be a mom. "It is something that has developed in me for years," she said and added, "But for such a big decision, it was crucial that he and I come on the same page. My time in the Bigg Boss 13 house got him (husband) thinking about having a family.'
Shefali, who rose to fame with her appearance in the iconic song 'Kaanta Laga', had once shared how adoption was something she deeply desired, although she knew, 'The road to adoption is not an easy one.'
She explained the challenges and stated, "There are a lot of laws in place. Authorities check every aspect, from the stability of a couple's marriage to their health. It is also a lot of paperwork and counselling. You have to talk to other parents. There are many who might develop cold feet at the last minute.'
Shefali also shared that her family wasn't supportive of her decision to adopt, but she believed that with time, they would understand and stand by her.
Wish To Adopt Baby Girl
Adoption had been close to Shefali Jariwala's heart long before she became famous. She once shared that the idea first touched her when she was around 10 or 12 years old. "I have carried it since then," she said.
She had once shared that the adoption process had been delayed due to the lockdown, and that it usually takes years to complete all the formalities. The actress also expressed her wish to adopt a baby girl, saying she felt a daughter's bond with her parents is very special, just like the one she shared with her own parents.
She added that the child meant for her would one day find a place in her home and heart.
