Shanaya Kapoor is gearing up for her debut release with Vikrant Massey — Santosh Singh's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. During the promotions of the film, CNN-News18 caught up exclusively with Shanaya's mother Maheep Kapoor, who had something special to share with her daughter before the big release. Maheep, in a recorded video, talked about how important this release is for her and the family, and also thanked all the producers and co-actors of the film that she believes will always be close to her daughter's heart.
Maheep said, 'Shanaya, the love of my life, I am so excited. You are about to start a brand new chapter, a very exciting chapter in your life. And I just want to tell you, your first movie is always going to have that extra magic and that extra sparkle and that extra sweetness because it's your first. I couldn't have asked the universe for a better film, a better director who's been so kind and patient. Santosh Singh, you're the best. I couldn't have asked for a more dashing, more dynamic actor like Vikrant Massey. I would have never in my wildest dreams thought, your producers Mansi and Varun, what they all added to this magic pot, Shanaya. And I want you to absorb it. The good, the bad, everything. I always knew, I told dad when you saw the movie Saawariya, when you saw Sonam, I knew you had tasted blood. And ever since then, you wanted to be on the big screen. I cannot wait for the world to see my baby on the big screen. All I can say is they're going to love you as much as I do (sic)."
An emotional Shanaya got teary eyed said with a choked voice, 'I think these are just the emotions we've been feeling as a family for so much time. Of course, before I get into it, I am fully, aware that I've had it much easier compared to others. But it's been a bit of a journey to get here today. There's a lot of value and gratitude that we're all feeling because this day has finally come."
Adding how excited the whole family is for this release, and how it feels like a celebration at home, Shanaya added, 'And just like yesterday we went to PVR and we were just taking photos with the poster. The whole house is feeling it because I think whenever anyone in the house goes through something or is going through something or is working towards anything, the whole family is supporting. We're all sharing this together and we are all very excited."
