STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD We are committed to responsible design practices, fostering cultural engagement, and opening a dialogue for a meaningful exchange with local Indian artisan communities as we have done in the past in other collections to ensure the rightful recognition of their craft. We are in contact with the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry &Agriculture on this topic.' Netizens react One said, 'This is not called inspiration it's called rebranding that's it. The designs used by Prada are not theirs it's a very old design more than a 1000 yrs old.' A second said, 'What the hell inspired they are kolhapuris and this is violation of our IP.' What next for Prada? ‘Sitaare Zameen Par' Box Office collection Day 9: Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh's film marches past Rs 100 crore mark with big jump on second Saturday
Aamir Khan is back with a bang! His latest film 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has won over audiences and is doing wonders at the box office. Even with strong competition from new releases like 'Kannappa', 'Maa' and 'F1: The Movie', this slice-of-life drama has stayed firm and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark with ease. Big jump on second Saturday 'Sitaare Zameen Par', directed by RS Prasanna, has shown superb growth on its second Saturday. According to early numbers by Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 12.75 crore on Day 9, which is much higher than its earnings on Friday. On Day 8, it made Rs 6.65 crore, so this is almost double. The total collection in India now stands at a solid Rs 108.30 crore. Day-wise collection so far Here's how 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has performed at the domestic box office: Friday: Rs 10.7 crore Saturday: Rs 20.2 crore Sunday: Rs 27.25 crore Monday: Rs 8.5 crore Tuesday: Rs 8.5 crore Wednesday: Rs 7.25 crore Thursday: Rs 6.5 crore Friday (Day 8): Rs 6.65 crore Saturday (Day 9): Rs 12.75 crore (early estimates) In its first week alone, the film earned Rs 94.95 crore. If this pace keeps up, it might touch the Rs 120 crore mark by Sunday. Aamir's big risk pays off? Aamir Khan made a bold move by releasing 'Sitaare Zameen Par' only in cinemas, with no OTT plan. This was a big risk in today's time, but it seems to have worked out well. The film opened nicely and has kept pulling people to theatres every day. With numbers picking up again on the second Saturday, it looks like Aamir's faith in his film and the cinema experience has paid off. What is the film about? In 'Sitaare Zameen Par', Aamir Khan plays a basketball coach who trains a team of players with special needs. The film also stars Genelia D'Souza. It brings ten new faces to the big screen — Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar.
