Kalvin Phillips then heightened talk of a return to Elland Road by labelling his former team-mate a "legend" for his cameo.
Bamford electrified the atmosphere at Leeds' Temple Newsam still further as the crowd loved his surprise cameo.
The Kaiser Chiefs are best known for their massive hit I Predict a Riot, which was also the theme tune for the Whites' party after Championship title glory last month.
But no-one predicted Bamford's appearance at the gig on the 20th anniversary of the group's first album.

The 31-year-old, who won a single England cap four years ago, also went down memory lane - or Elland Road - with his choice of shirt for the event.
He wore a Leeds top from 2000-01 with 'Viduka 9' on the back.
Ex-frontman Mark Viduka, 49, had his longest spell in English football with the Whites - from 2000-2004.
And he too reacted to Bamford's guitar-playing cameo.

But it's just possible Viduka was referring to the hitman's kit rather than his musical ability as the Aussie posted: "What a privilege."
Bamford's effort was all the more remarkable as it followed Leeds' prolonged celebrations, including a trip to Vegas, after they pipped Burnley to the second-tier crown.

And many reckon Phillips will be making his own comeback - to Elland Road.
The 29-year-old has had a dire three years away after joining Manchester City, typified by injury and then mediocre loan spells at West Ham and Ipswich.
Phillips bigged up Bamford on Instagram as he responded to the star's rocking intervention by posting: "What an absolute legend".
That's also the status Phillips had at his hometown club Leeds.

And for now Wham Bam is the man - thanks to the Chiefs.
One fan raved: "Crowd were amazing and a lot of fun was had! Cameo performance from P Bamford an absolute highlight!!'
Another wrote: "Great day out at what was a mini-festival more than a gig. Kaiser Chiefs were amazing, bringing Patrick Bamford and the Championship trophy out on stage added to a very Leeds-centric gig (so many LUFC shirts there)."

Starbucks' secret menu is now official, and you could win $25,000 for submitting your own creation

Secret menus—unofficial, creative combinations of standard menu options—have been a thing at many chains over the years, including Starbucks. Most remain secret, but Starbucks just pulled back the curtain by officially adding four "secret" drinks to their menu. Plus, they've launched a contest to find the next big drink and you could win big. Starting today, Starbucks is putting its most talked-about drink hacks front and center in the Starbucks app. The legendary 'secret menu' that's fueled Reddit threads and fan sites with the likes of Butterbeer Frappuccinos and Thin Mint Cold Brews is now officially endorsed. Rewards members can tap the "offers" tab in the app and find the first four creations, each already customized and ready to order with a single click. Here's what's in the inaugural lineup: Cookies on Top: Cold Brew with two pumps of vanilla syrup, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam and a cookie crumble topping Lemon, Tea & Pearls: Black tea and lemonade with raspberry popping pearls Just Add White Mocha: Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso upgraded with White Chocolate Mocha Sauce and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam The move is inspired by Starbucks' Not-So-Secret Menu broadcast channel on Instagram, where creative mashups have been shared for months. Now, these viral drinks can finally be ordered easily, without awkwardly reciting the recipe at the counter. But Starbucks isn't stopping there. To celebrate, they're launching a contest to find their next big drink. From now through July 20, submit your dream drink customization via the secret menu contest page. Four finalists will snag $5,000 and see their drink featured in the app from August 18–25. The drink with the most fan votes on Starbucks' Instagram wins an extra $25,000.

John Torode sacked from MasterChef after racist language allegation

It has been announced that John Torode will not be returning to MasterChef. This week, it emerged that Torode had been accused of using racist language in the review regarding his former co-host, Gregg Wallace. The BBC and MasterChef production company Banijay UK have now confirmed that his contract with the cooking series will not be renewed. A Banijay spokesperson said: 'In response to John Torode's statement, it is important to stress that Banijay UK takes this matter incredibly seriously. 'The legal team at Lewis Silkin that investigated the allegations relating to Gregg Wallace also substantiated an accusation of highly offensive racist language against John Torode which occurred in 2018. 'This matter has been formally discussed with John Torode by Banijay UK, and whilst we note that John says he does not recall the incident, Lewis Silkin have upheld the very serious complaint. 'Banijay UK and the BBC are agreed that we will not renew his contract on MasterChef.' A BBC spokesperson added: 'John Torode denies the allegation. He has stated he has no recollection of the alleged incident and does not believe that it happened. 'He also says that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. 'The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously. We will not tolerate racist language of any kind and, as we have already said, we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken. John Torode's contract on MasterChef will not be renewed.' It was reported that last week, the BBC and Banijay asked Torode to resign and claim he had mental health problems. The Sun said Torode refused the request and has issued a statement addressing the racist language allegation on his Instagram. Torode has not yet commented on this announcement, but yesterday made a statement following the release of the report. More Trending The TV chef said on social media that he was the individual 'who is alleged to have used racist language on one occasion', telling fans for the 'sake of transparency' after speculation. He continued: 'The allegation is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards. 'I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment.
