Banana Ball on ESPN continues this weekend as the Savannah Bananas and the Firefighters take over Nationals Park.
The Savannah Bananas play an exciting take on baseball that emphasizes trick plays, showmanship, and fan participation, not unlike the exhibition take on basketball that the Harlem Globetrotters popularized.
The team is spending the summer on the road, playing against the three other Banana Ball teams, the aforementioned Firefighters, the Party Animals, and the Texas Tailgaters.
