Australian actor Julian McMahon passed away in Clearwater, Florida, at the age of 56. His death has been confirmed by his wife, Kelly McMahon. He battled cancer in private.

McMahon's wife revealed his cancer diagnosis in her statement but chose not to share further details.
The exact cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Reportedly, McMahon was also diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He also seemingly dealt with other health problems.
Julian McMahon was best known for his role as Dr Christian Troy on the hit FX series Nip/Tuck. He starred alongside Dylan Walsh in the show, which followed the story of two plastic surgeons, earning him a Golden Globe nomination in 2004.
In 2020, Julian took on the role of Jess LaCroix in FBI: Most Wanted, leading the show for three seasons until his unexpected exit in 2022.
Before Hollywood, Julian, who was born and raised in Australia, got his start in the Australian soap opera, Home and Away, from 1990 to 1991. He later appeared as Detective John Grant on the American crime drama Profiler from 1996 to 2000.
He became a household name with Charmed, where he starred as the mysterious Cole Turner from 2000 to 2003, marking his return briefly in 2005.
On the big screen, Julian made a mark as the iconic villain Dr Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and its sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). He also starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the 2007 film Premonition.
Julian McMahon married his wife, Kelly, in 2014. It was his third marriage.
He was previously married to Baywatch actor Brooke Burns from 1999 to 2001. Together, they had a daughter, Madison Elizabeth McMahon, 25. Before that, he was briefly married to Australian singer and TV star Dannii Minogue from 1994 to 1995.
Julian was also the son of former Prime Minister of Australia, Sir William McMahon.

Jurassic World Rebirth received mixed reviews but the opening collections suggest that the craze around dinosaur films is far from over. The film is well on its way to becoming one of the biggest box-office successes of the year. In America and in most parts of the world, the movie rolled out on July 2, while in countries like India and France, it was released on July 4. Within two days, the movie managed to cross the $100 million mark in the domestic market. It's now expected to pull in around $137–138 million, including $82 million over Friday–Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That beats the initial projections of $100–120 million, and the three-day total is close to the $145 million opening of Dominion in 2022. By Thursday, Jurassic World Rebirth had already brought in $104.6 million worldwide, with $48.8 million from overseas markets. It's now headed for a global opening north of $260 million, possibly even higher. In China, the movie raked in around $15.5 million by Friday, leaving Brad Pitt's F1 behind. The movie topped box-office charts with a 50% market share. In South Korea, where Johansson and Bailey personally visited for promotion, it hit $2.8 million by Friday and stayed #1 for three days. Other strong openings include the UK/Ireland ($4.5 million), Mexico ($4.3 million), and Spain ($2.4 million). In countries like Germany, Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan, and more, it is currently trending at Number 1. On its opening day, the film beat Bollywood films like Kajol's Maa and Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino, alongside Brad Pitt's F1, which was going strong in the country ever since its release. In India, Rebirth has become the highest-grossing Jurassic instalment yet, surpassing the 2022 release Dominion, which grossed Rs 8.15 crore net and Rs 11 crore including paid previews. The movie, made on a budget of $180 million, also stars Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Manuel Gracia-Rulfo and Ed Skrein in key roles. If compared to the last three Jurassic World movies, all of them opened higher in the US ($145 million–$208 million range), but those had the original trilogy factor. With Rebirth, the franchise is entering its new era. The movie goes back to the Jurassic roots. The story follows an extraction team on a dinosaur-infested island. The mission is to obtain the dinosaur's DNA, which can be a lifesaver for mankind. He made his feature film debut in 1992, starring opposite Elliott Gould in Wet and Wild Summer!. McMahon moved to the United States to pursue acting in Hollywood and began with a role on the daytime soap Another World in 1993. He later became a series regular on NBC's crime drama Profiler, appearing throughout its four-season run. He gained wider recognition for his role as Cole Turner in the popular supernatural series Charmed, in which he starred for three seasons. McMahon's career reached a major milestone when he was cast as the Marvel villain Dr Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). His film credits include Premonition, RED, Paranoia, You're Not You, Swinging Safari and The Surfer, which premiered in the Midnight Screenings section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival alongside Nicolas Cage. His final role was in Netflix's murder mystery series The Residence, where he portrayed the Australian Prime Minister.
