Kota: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Lok Sabha Speaker
Om Birla
participated in a public grievance redressal camp organised under Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sanbal Pakhawda campaign at Maharav Bhimsingh Stadium in Sangod town of Kota district Monday.
They launched the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan, dedicated to pregnant women weighing less than 50 kilograms who need additional nutrition and health services. Nutrition kits for 1,500 identified pregnant women will be distributed under the 'Suposhit Maa Campaign' in the Sangod assembly area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma slammed Congress, saying that since the Antyodaya Sanbal camps started across the state, gaining public support and benefiting the needy, Congress has been in distress and frequently expressed it on mobile and Twitter (X) and in public events.
When he challenged them to compare his one and a half years with their five years and counted achievements, they did not accept it but ridiculed it, Sharma said.
"Why shouldn't there be a comparison of works? What they (Congress) failed to do in five years, his govt has done in just one and a half years," Sharma claimed, counting the development works in contrast to the works of the previous Congress govt. His govt is focused on the development and welfare of farmers, labourers, youth, and women, the CM further said, adding that no case of paper leak surfaced in the last one and a half years and 69,000 jobs were given to the youths so far.
Meanwhile, vacancies for 1.88 lakh jobs are set to come out with a calendar of examinations and results for the next three and a half years.

Lorry owners call off strike after Karnataka clears pending Anna Bhagya dues
The Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners and Agents' Association has officially withdrawn its indefinite strike following the Karnataka government's decision to clear pending dues related to the Anna Bhagya scheme. The strike, launched on Monday, had brought the transportation of rice and foodgrains across the State to a halt. The association had cited non-payment of bills for over six months as the primary reason for the protest. However, on Tuesday, the State government issued an order releasing ₹244.1 crore towards incidental expenses including transportation charges for the period between February and May 2025. Federation president G.R. Shanmugappa welcomed the move and announced the withdrawal of the strike, stating that the government had responded positively to their demands. 'The government has promised us that all pending dues will be settled within 48 hours. Accordingly, our members have decided to resume transport services with immediate effect,' said Mr. Shanmugappa. He further added that the State has also promised to refund the earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹26 crore, paid by lorry owners during the tendering process, within four days. Earlier, the federation had expressed frustration over the non-payment for foodgrain transportation services provided under the Anna Bhagya programme since February. Anna Bhagya, one of the Congress government's flagship welfare initiatives, offers free rice to eligible families and is a critical part of its five key guarantee schemes announced after coming to power in 2023.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is impersonated by AI in an attempt to scam foreign diplomats, a Congressman, and a Governor
United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio was the victim of impersonation via artificial intelligence (AI). Per reporting from The Washington Post, Marco Rubio's impersonator used AI text and voice generation tools to imitate the Secretary of State's speaking and writing style in order to contact multiple foreign ministers, a Congress representative, and a state Governor. Most of this impersonation occurred via the encrypted messaging app, Signal. Signal has already been a cause of embarrassment for Donald Trump's administration due to it being the source of prior security breaches, such as a leaked group chat discussing a bombing campaign in Yemen, in which both Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth were present. Mario Rubio's AI impersonator used a fake email Secretary of State Marco Rubio was impersonated by a scammer who used AI software to replicate his voice and contact government Marco Rubio's impersonator used a fake email ID called to establish contact with their targets. This fake email was used as a display name, and the scammer used AI generated voice memos to contact at least two people. The impersonator also tried to initiate text message conversations on the Signal app. The potential for AI misuse has not gone unnoticed by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), which issued a warning in May about 'an ongoing malicious text and voice messaging campaign' that deliberately impersonated senior US officials in order to build a rapport with others before asking for access to their personal accounts. Concerns of AI impersonation and deepfakes are on the rise 🇺🇸 NOT MARCO RUBIO: AI SCAMMER TRICKS OFFICIALS WITH VOICE CLONESomeone used AI to mimic Marco Rubio's voice and writing, then messaged top officials on Signal pretending to be hit up 3 foreign ministers, a U.S. governor, and a member of Congress - leaving fake… With the increasing sophistication of AI tools and their ability to convincingly mimic human speech and writing patterns, concerns over AI impersonation and deepfakes have only begun to grow. Marco Rubio isn't the first high-level US official to be the victim of an AI impersonation, and he likely won't be the last. Former president Joe Biden was the victim of an AI impersonation during the 2024 New Hampshire primary, where automated robocalls of a deepfake impersonation of him urged residents to not go out and vote. Deepfakes have also impacted US foreign relations, with former Senator Ben Cardin revealing that he was once contacted by a deepfake of Ukranian diplomat Dmytro Kuleba and asked politically charged questions about the 2024 election.

Sand mafia growing unchecked, governance failing under CM: Gehlot
1 2 3 Jaipur: Senior Congress leader and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot criticised the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP govt in Rajasthan, accusing it of surrendering to the sand mafia and failing to uphold law and order in the state. Speaking on the birth anniversary of senior Congress leader Late Girija Vyas at PCC Tuesday, Gehlot said, "The sand mafia has completely taken over. Sand prices are skyrocketing, and the common man can't even afford to build a home. During our tenure, we faced challenges too, but we tried to control them. Today, it's a free-for-all." He alleged that a deep-rooted nexus now exists from the grassroots to the top, resulting in unchecked violence. "Police are being attacked, people are being run over by trucks, and anyone refusing to align with the mafia is being crushed—literally. This is not governance, this is lawlessness," he said. Gehlot further questioned chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's priorities. "What is the point of frequent tours and public visits if there is no governance on the ground? Crimes are happening everyday — rapes, robberies, thefts. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo These are burning issues. Why isn't the CM acting?" Criticising administrative inertia, Gehlot noted the delays in implementing officer promotions and appointments. "Promoted officers continue to work on their old posts. IPS officers promoted to DIG are still functioning as SPs. IAS officers faced similar delays. Now that a new DGP is in place, what is stopping the govt?" He further accused the BJP govt of losing grip over public grievance redressal systems and claimed that law and order in the state was deteriorating. "The public doesn't know where to go. Mafia elements are on the rise, and complaints at the thana (police station) level are simply not being heard," he said. "The chief minister should deploy his IB discreetly to investigate whether what we are saying is baseless or not. If our concerns hold merit, he should act swiftly to fix them. If not, fine—we'll accept it was political exaggeration. But it must be verified by his own agencies," he added.
