The major league leader turned on a fastball from Bailey Falter (6-4) in the first inning and walloped it well past the wall in left. The exit velocity on the two-run shot was logged at 115.2 mph, per Statcast — the hardest-hit ball of his career.
Raleigh topped his previous career high — set last season — in the sixth with a solo shot that chased Falter. The Mariners only mustered one other hit off the left-hander, but it was also a home run courtesy of Randy Arozarena in the fourth inning.
Mariners starter Bryan Woo (8-4) went six innings.
The Pirates came a few inches away from taking a 2–0 lead in the first inning when Oneil Cruz lofted a pop-up toward no man's land in left field. Arozarena made an improbable catch to end the inning and strand two Pittsburgh runners.

LUCERNE, Switzerland (AP) — Netherlands great Vivianne Miedema's 100th goal in international soccer was key to a 3-0 win over debut-making Wales at the Women's European Championship on Saturday. After Miedema's injury-hit season, no one expected the all-time Dutch record goal-scorer to complete its opening game in the toughest of groups. Those 70 minutes of Miedema were more than enough in a dominant win that gave Wales a tough lesson in its entry to major women's tournament soccer. The result and performance suggested the Euro 2017 champion — and 2019 World Cup finalist — was up to advancing from Group D. England, the defending champion, and France met later Saturday in Zurich. Miedema made her historic mark scoring with a delightful curling shot in stoppage time at the end of the first half. The skill she showed to create the chance, by twice deceiving a defender when faking to strike the ball, seemed unlikely to that point. Miedema's first touch had been heavy in the penalty area and she seemed to lack match fitness after so little game time at Manchester City because of knee and hamstring injuries. The Dutch were relentless in the second half, adding goals in the 48th by Victoria Pelova and the 57th by wing back Esmee Brugts. It could have been more. The Wales crossbar was struck twice between the second and third goals by shots from Jill Roord and Jackie Groenen. Roord also struck a post with a first-half shot. Miedema's exit let another recently injured star forward, Lineth Beerensteyn, return to action and the winger quickly looked dangerous. ___

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala badly injures his leg against PSG at the Club World Cup
ATLANTA (AP) — Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala badly injured his left leg and was forced to leave his team's match against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday in the Club World Cup quarterfinals. Musiala was hurt late in the first half following a 50-50 challenge with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The replay of the gruesome injury was not shown on the big screens at Mercedes Benz Stadium. The 22-year-old Musiala, who also plays for Germany's national team, entered Saturday's match with three goals in the tournament — one behind golden boot leaders Ángel Di María and Marcos Leonardo. His Club World Cup goals brought his tally to 20 this season, including 12 in the Bundesliga and three in the Champions League. Musiala's injury came just before halftime. The referee whistled for the break as the midfielder received treatment on the field. Serge Gnabry replaced him in the lineup to begin the second half with the score 0-0. Musiala is a rising star, earning Player of the Year honors for the German national team in 2024.
