Why Outdoor Boys Saying Goodbye To YouTube Is A Bittersweet Ending
Outdoor Boys run by Luke Nichols posted his last video on the YouTube channel announcing his sudden departure from the platform.
Luke Nichols, the man behind the highly popular YouTube channel 'Outdoor Boys", recently uploaded a rare video that nobody wanted to click on. The caption of the video read 'Goodbye", and the uncharacteristic short length of the video indicated that this wasn't clickbait. Heck, Outdoor Boys is anything but clickbait. His departure from the video-sharing platform came as a rude shock to his 15+ million subscribers. His stepping away from video creation that he has been doing for 11 years and having posted 1110 videos on the website has sent a bittersweet feeling among his tightly-knit community.
'Hey everyone, this is going to be my last video for a little while. You know, I've been making YouTube videos for 11 years now. First with the Catfishing Carp YouTube channel, then with this, the Outdoor Boys YouTube channel. And believe it or not, I've made 1,110 videos," Nichols said in his final video.
Outdoor Boys
Considered a legend in the modern era of YouTube, little did Nichols know that his humble channel of outdoor adventures, hiking, fishing, extreme camping trips that his kids and wife sometimes are a part of would explode and make 'Outdoor Boys" the center of attention. From 3 millions subscribers to over 15 million subscribers in about 18 months has put 'Outdoor Boys" in the list of top-most followed YouTube channels in the world.
At the time of writing this, 'Outdoor Boys" has 2,569,384,689 views. In his farewell video, Nichols admitted that there were certain channels that routinely stole his content and brought him and his family much more attention that they had ever anticipated or desired.
He added that his wife and him had real life concerns regarding the kind of impact 'Outdoor Boys" would have on their family if he continued to grow on the platform at such a monumental pace.
It is time for him to stop, he asserted, adding that he had to stop sooner rather than later before the situation got out of hand.
'It's time to step back and focus on helping other people for a change, and I'm excited to see where that takes me," Nichols added, stating that he would assist his oldest son, Tom, in his YouTube endeavours. 'I want to spend more time helping him with his channel and preparing him to be an adult, which is going to be in less than six years. But I've spent so much time focusing on me."
Fans Have His Back
Disappointed by his departure, his loyal fans still backed his decision, especially at a time when he could perhaps make a fortune out of a highly lucrative channel he has painstakingly build through a decade of hard work, passion, and endless wholesome content.
'good thing there are bajillions of videos to enjoy. sad to say goodbye but what a gift he's given us all. I was in a difficult place when I discovered the Outdoor Boys channel and it really helped me start to turn my life around. I think the fact that Luke chose to use this final message (for a while) to tell us all to carry the torch and help others is a testament to his faith and goodness and is at the core of why so many of us love the channel so much. Honor him and pass on the love, (sic)" an Outdoor Boys fan wrote on Reddit.
'I love the fact he probably has millions of dollars from YouTube and he drives a Kia. The man could go buy some tricked out Escalade or Yukon since it's Alaska, but he drives a Kia Sedona. That other kei truck he has for the remote property, that probably cost as much as the Kia. He didn't get an Atlas or some crazy tank like machine developed in Russia to conquer harsh conditions, he got that. That's humble. He probably paid off his house, fully funded his kids college educations, maxed out his retirement account and put the rest in stocks, bonds and high yield savings. He didn't go buy a Lamborghini and Bentley then start flying private to flex. He was humble. Maybe he'll do that now…(sic)," another user chimed in.
What's The Future?
Although this wasn't a final goodbye, Nichols will be offline till the end of the year. But that also comes with a catch.
He has several unfinished projects that, if he finishes, will be uploaded towards the end of 2025.
'But if I decide to finish those videos or if I decide to film any other adventures after today, I'll post them at the end of the year all in one big dump. But no matter what, this is going to be my last video for a while."
Till then, the lawyer-turned-YouTuber will help out his boy Tom with his YouTube channel titled 'Outdoor Tom".

Jamie Lever recalls Farah Khan's hilarious reaction to her videos: 'My husband is showing them to our kids'
During the pandemic lockdown, while the entertainment industry was at a standstill, Jamie Lever , the daughter of legendary comedian Johnny Lever, found her moment to shine. Using social media as her stage, she captivated audiences with a series of brilliant and pitch-perfect impersonations of famous personalities like Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar , and Farah Khan . These viral videos not only established her as a breakout comedian in the digital space but also earned her direct praise from the very celebrities she was impersonating. Here's a closer look at what Jamie Lever said. Jamie Lever on the call changed the game During an open chat on Sapan Verma's YouTube show, Jamie Lever looked back on her rapid journey into viral fame and the surprisingly sweet responses that planned with it. One moment that stands out was, choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan called Jamie personally during lockdown. Jamie recalled the encounter with infectious laughter as she said that she had just started making videos when she got a morning call from Farah Khan. She said, 'Hello Jamie! Listen, what are you doing yaar? Please send me those videos!' Jamie didn't even recognize her voice at first and asked, 'Who is this?' Then Farah said, 'My husband is showing my kids your videos and telling them, this is exactly how your mother talks!' She went on to compliment Jamie. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like TV providers are furious: this gadget gives you access to all channels Techno Mag Learn More Undo The episode not only served as validation from an industry insider but also marked a surreal checkpoint in Jamie's career, a reminder that even light-hearted mimicry can open doors to genuine admiration. That allowed her to step into consistent and numerous opportunities as well as become a part of projects such as 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon,' 'Housefull 4,' 'Bhoot Police,' and 'Pop Kaun?,' making the full transition between corporate calm and comic chaos.

Here's what Kamala Harris did to shut out negativity post 2024 election loss against Trump
Kamala Harris, long known as a self-described foodie, is no stranger to the comforting power of a good meal. After losing the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump, Harris found herself overwhelmed by a wave of negativity. Instead of diving back into the news cycle, she turned to cooking shows for escape. Harris on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Kamala Harris appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for her first televised interview since the election loss. Colbert commented, 'First of all, you look rested.' Harris joked that she was, and after asking about Colbert himself, she discussed how she managed the aftermath of her defeat. When asked, 'How long before you turned on the news again?' Harris replied: 'Months, Months, I, you know, I'm just not into self‑mutilation, and I just, I, yeah, lots of cooking shows.' She added that 'The Kitchen', a cooking show where hosts prepare simple dinners, play trivia, and share meal tips, is 'one of my favorites.' Cooking as comfort and control For Kamala Harris, the kitchen isn't just a place for food, it's where she regains her sense of self. In the chaos that followed her 2024 election defeat, cooking offered her something rare: control. Back when she was crisscrossing the country as a senator, Harris once said, 'Everything else can be crazy, I can be on six planes in one week, and what makes me feel normal is making Sunday‑night family dinner.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Container Houses Cyprus (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search ads Search Now Undo That same instinct led her back to the stove after the loss, when she could barely bring herself to watch the news. Instead of spiraling, she turned to flavors, textures, and recipes. Her love for cooking traces back to her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, who told her early on, 'Kamala, you clearly like to eat good food. You better learn how to cook.' It stuck. Over the years, Harris built up a collection of cookbooks, favorites include Marcella Hazan and Alice Waters, and has even talked about writing one of her own someday. During the campaign trail, that passion showed up online. Her short series 'Cooking With Kamala' gave viewers a peek into her unpolished, everyday kitchen self. She chopped onions with practiced ease, cracked eggs one‑handed, and even swapped spice jar stories with Mindy Kaling while making masala dosa. From YouTube to the home kitchen During her 2020 campaign, Harris hosted a short YouTube series called 'Cooking With Kamala.' She confidently demonstrated cooking skills, like cracking an egg one-handed and slicing onions, earning praise even from chef Tom Colicchio. In one viral video, she and actress Mindy Kaling prepared masala dosa and discovered that both grew up storing spices in Taster's Choice jars. Her home kitchen reflects her passion: enamel skillets, a gas stove, and a crock full of cooking tools, signs of someone who cooks often and joyfully.
