Raptors sign first-round pick Collin Murray-Boyles to rookie-scale contract
The six-foot-seven, 239-pound forward was the ninth overall pick in last week's NBA draft coming out of the University of South Carolina.
Murray-Boyles averaged 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 32 games en route to earning an All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection as a sophomore.
He led the SEC in field-goal percentage (.586), scored 20-plus points in 12 games and had nine double-doubles for the Gamecocks.
Toronto also signed guard Chucky Hepburn to a two-way contract Tuesday. Hepburn averaged 16.4 points and 5.8 assists in 34 games as a senior year at the University of Louisville in 2024-25.
The six-foot-two, 190-pound Hepburn was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-ACC first team and all-defensive team honours. He led the ACC in steals per game with 2.4.

Dixon, who is 6-feet-8 and 265 pounds, spent five years in the NCAA with the University of Villanova, and he led the nation in scoring this past season with an average of 23.3 points a game. Dixon isn't a great rebounder or defender (he grabbed 5.6 boards a game for his college career), but he can certainly score. He shot 40.7% from 3-point range on 7.2 3-point attempts a game and 45.1% overall this past season, and for his college career, he made 38.7% of his attempts from downtown. Lakers' final summer league roster has been revealed
On Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers will begin summer league play by participating in the California Classic. Their first game will take place that afternoon versus the Golden State Warriors, and after two more contests, they will move on to the NBA's main summer league in Las Vegas, which will begin play on July 10.
