Mr. Met may want to stick to walking on the tops of dugouts at Citi Field instead of concert stages from now on.
The Mets' beloved mascot took a nasty spill off the stage at the Lumineers concert in Flushing on Friday night and the embarrassing video went viral.
It didn't start well for Mr. Met, dressed in a white shirt and suspenders to fit the band's look, as he first failed to catch a tambourine thrown to him by Lumineers lead singer Wesley Schultz.
He then walked toward the middle of the stage and fell as he stepped into the gap where the ramp into the crowd met the main platform.

He tumbled to the ground and you could no longer see his large baseball head for a moment.
Mr. Met then quickly rebounded, raising his hand holding the tambourine to let everyone know he was OK before pulling himself back on stage and waving to the Citi Field crowd one more time.
'Don't worry, I don't oppheeliiia too bad,' Mr. Met posted to his official account on X in reference to the band's 'Ophelia' song. 'Thanks for having me, @thelumineers !'

He even got some support from his main squeeze, Mrs. Met.
'Love my man, on and off the stage. (Orange and Blue heart emojis),' Mr. Met posted to X.

It was a least a better night for Mr. Mets' team as the Amazin's rallied for an 8-3 win over the Royals in Kansas City on Friday night.
The Mets (54-41), who had just two hits in the first seven innings, scored seven runs over the eighth and ninth innings to rally from a 3-1 deficit and snap a two-game skid.
They got a slump-busting three-run double from Mark Vientos in the eighth, along with homers from Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor in the ninth to move a half-game back of the Phillies in the NL East.

Pete Alonso hits 3-run homer to power Mets to sweep of Angels
NEW YORK -- Pete Alonso hit a three-run homer to power the New York Mets to a 6-3 win and series sweep of the Los Angeles Angeles on Wednesday. Alonso, mired in a 2-for-34 slump dating back to July 10, homered two batters after Francisco Lindor broke a career-long 0-for-31 drought with an RBI single. Brandon Nimmo hit his 14th career leadoff homer and Lindor added another RBI single in the fourth for the Mets, who swept a series for the fifth time this season. Sean Manaea (1-1), making his third appearance and second start after battling oblique and elbow injuries, allowed one run and struck out five over five innings. Edwin Díaz got the final four outs for his 21st save. Mike Trout homered in the third — the 396th home run and 999th RBI of his career — for the Angels, who were swept for the seventh time. Luis Rengifo (forceout) and Chris Taylor (double) collected RBIs in the seventh. Left-hander Jake Eder (0-1), the last of three Angels pitchers on a bullpen day, gave up five runs in a career-high six innings. Alonso's first homer since July 8 was the 248th of his career, pulling him within four of Darryl Strawberry for the all-time franchise lead. Trout is aiming to become the second active player with 400 homers and the ninth with 1,000 RBIs. The Mets travel west for a six-game road trip starting Friday, when RHP Clay Holmes (8-5, 3.48 ERA) opens a three-game series against RHP Logan Webb (9-7, 3.08 ERA) and the San Francisco Giants. Angels LHP Yusei Kikuchi (4-6, 3.13 ERA) starts Thursday, when the Angels return home for a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners and RHP Logan Evans (3-3, 3.81 ERA). ___
