Wondering – aloud, online, to much gnashing of teeth by furry-hood-wearing parka dads who missed out – if they have any other good songs you should listen to before you go?

Oasis, at least up until around 1996 or so, were among Britpop's most brazen purveyors of songwriting excellence, thundering riffs and lyrics made up on the spot about the producer's dog. Their early years produced a veritable deluge of classics that marked them out as one of the top-tier acts in rock history, and they sporadically tapped that same rich seam even after the drugs stopped working.

This is not the first time that Jedward have shown their appreciation for Oasis. After the Mancunian band announced last year that they were reforming for their first live shows in 15 years, Jedward did not attempt to hide their delight. They reposted a video of John covering the band's hit Wonderwall with American Pie actress Tara Reid in 2022. In the clip, both singers donned metallic silver outfits as they harmonised on the famous chorus. They captioned the post: 'Celebrating the Oasis reunion.' It remains to be seen whether the Lipstick singers will be turning up at one of Oasis' sold out Wembley Stadium dates after swapping their home village of Rathangan, Co Kildare, for the English capital last summer. Settling on leafy Belsize Park in north-west London, the former X Factor finalists told The Standard of their new life: 'We've never been based in London, we only moved here last June but we've already been enriched in life. 'We're always bumping into Ricky Gervais around here and you went jogging with Harry Styles once with his dog, didn't you, John?'

WWE wrestler spotted wearing League of Ireland jersey
WWE wrestler Sami Zayn has gone viral after he was spotted wearing a Bohemians jersey during a WWE programme. Bohs turned heads internationally with the launch of their new strip, a sky blue jersey with the Oasis logo on it. Advertising his match later on in the night against Karrion Kross, Sami walked into the building stoically, but people couldn't help but recognise the jersey. 'Sami Zayn is Bohs,' the league's official account tweeted, while on Twitter (X), people were just as surprised. 'Does Sami zayn have a bohs shirt on??' one tweeted, while another joked that Sami will face Bray wrestler Finn Bálor next Monday on Raw, with Sami wearing that jersey while Finn wears a Bray Wanderers shirt. When he signed for WWE, he began performing as Sami Zayn (El Generico didn't sign as he was busy building orphanages in Mexico), he won the NXT Championship on the company's then developmental brand NXT, before winning the Intercontinental Championship and tag team championship with his best friend and better enemy Kevin Owens. While he hasn't been advertised for when Smackdown comes to Dublin in August, the company has another Bohs fan in the locker room: namely Sheamus, with the Dubliner having previously worn the red and black stripes. PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe licensed to thrill in Cannonball 2025
The action-packed supercar spectacle is set to roll off from Johnstown Estate, Enfield, on September 12. It will take in Ballymaloe, Tralee, Killarney, Clare, Sligo and Cavan before finishing in Naas on September 14. Cannonball is the largest organised road trip in Europe, featuring the finest cars in the world. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin and Maserati are all taking part. Over 200,000 spectators are expected, with free festivals organised from coast to coast. Gallagher and McCabe were joined by Jude (4) and Cillian Mangan (7), mum Sandra and dad Ruairi for the launch. The Dubliners are just one of the 440 families across Ireland currently under the care of the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.
