Pictures of former PE teacher charged with sexual offences against boy and two girls
Bronwen James, 29, of Chippenham, Wiltshire, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates' Court yesterday, Wednesday, accused of sexual activity with two girls and a boy over a three-year period.
She is charged with six offences of sexual activity with a child, relating to girls under the age of 16, contrary to the Sexual Offences Act.
James is also accused of two counts of sexual communication with a child and one count of making an indecent photograph of a child, namely a Category C – the least serious category – first generation image.
The former teacher is also charged with four counts of sexual activity with a boy, contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Wiltshire Police previously confirmed that James taught PE at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham and Bitterne Park School in Southampton.
Stephen Harrison, chair of the bench, told James that her case would be heard next at Salisbury Crown Court on August 7.
He said: 'By virtue of three of these offences being indictable only, which means they can only be heard in the crown court, we will be sending them to the crown court.
'The other 10 offences are associated offences and therefore will be included in the hearing to be heard in front of the crown court.
'The next phase is to attend for a plea and trial preparation hearing which is going to take place at Salisbury Crown Court on August 7.
'In between now and August 7, you are granted bail with conditions.
'If you don't turn up to court at that appointed date and time, you may be committing an offence.
'You are not to have direct or indirect contact with the three complainants in this matter.
'You are not to have any unsupervised contact with any child or young person under the age of 16.'
Mr Harrison asked James to confirm that she understood what he had said and to repeat the bail conditions to the court, which she did.
The judge also stressed: 'The identities of all complainants for these matters is protected under law. Failure to comply is a criminal offence.'
During the short hearing, James, wearing a cream two-piece outfit, also spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and address.
She was not asked to enter any pleas to the charges against her.
Siobhan Oxley appeared for the prosecution during the hearing, while Joshua Clements represented James.
James will next appear before Salisbury Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on August 7.

An appeal has been launched for help to track down a young woman who has gone missing. Police are looking to locate Sherine Dunn, stating there is concern for her welfare. Officers have released a description of the 22-year-old in the hopes of triggering the memory of anyone who may have seen her. Its website reads: "Often the missing person themselves does not consider themselves 'missing', however until they are sighted safe and well by police as a result of the concerns raised for them, they will be classed as a missing person. "While we appreciate our communities' concerns when a person goes missing, and the genuine offers of help and support, we kindly ask that the public don't conduct their own searches. "We ask this for a number of reasons; our searches are coordinated by highly-trained, well-equipped search experts who take an intelligence-led, methodical approach which everyone involved understands and follows." Kalihi woman, 41, charged for trying to strangle her 2 kids
A 41-year-old Kalihi woman was charged at 6 :15 p.m. Saturday with trying to strangle her 8-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son on July 20. Kaui Jan Scharsch is charged with one count of abuse of a household or family member and one count of domestic violence involving strangulation, according to Honolulu police. She was arrested at 1 p.m. July 25 after turning herself in at the Honolulu Police Department's Alapai Headquarters located at 801 South Beretania St. She is being held in lieu of $11, 000 bail. On July 20 at 9 :57 a.m., the two children told police that their 41-year-old mother tried to strangle them. Scharsch was sentenced to two years probation in 2022 after pleading no contest for violating a temporary restraining order, according to state court records. Scharsch was granted early release from the terms of her probation on Nov. 7, 2023. A 'cooperative safety plan ' had been in place for one of Scharsch's two children as recently as 2023, according to state court records. Passenger Yells ‘Death to Trump' on Scotland-Bound Flight
A bomb threat from a passenger who said he wanted to 'send a message' to President Donald Trump forced a Scotland-bound flight to make an emergency landing Sunday. Footage from inside the cabin shows the suspect, who police have identified as a 41-year-old man, pacing the aisle and yelling 'I'm going to bomb the plane. Death to America, death to Trump!' as stunned passengers look on. Trump, who is currently visiting Scotland, was at his Turnberry golf course at the time—about an hour's flight from where the incident took place, according to the New York Post. The passenger began making the threats roughly an hour into the easyJet flight from London's Luton Airport to Glasgow Airport, The Sun reported. After repeatedly yelling 'Allahu Akbar' while raising his fist, the man was tackled by a group of passengers. In another video obtained by The Sun, someone is heard asking the man, 'Why are you saying you're going to bomb the plane?' 'Because I want to send a message to Trump,' the suspect replied, while being held down in the aisle. 'He's in Scotland.' The pilots reportedly declared an emergency on approach to Glasgow Airport. Upon landing, the Airbus A319 was directed to a remote part of the airport as fire trucks rushed to the scene, The Sun reported. Police then boarded the aircraft, handcuffed the suspect, and escorted him off. Authorities later confirmed that no explosives were found on board, the Post reported. In a statement, Police Scotland said: 'We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July, 2025.
