Free activities to take place at Rhymney Library Hub
The programme, running from Monday to Friday, will offer a variety of themed events and support services daily, promoting mental and physical health within the community.
Attendees can look forward to diverse activities like seated yoga, dog rescue demonstrations, Spanish taster sessions, craft sessions, healthy eating talks, and even a community plant swap.
The week will conclude with an outdoor event on Friday, June 27, from 3pm to 5pm, featuring a silent disco, stalls, foodbank collections, and more.
The initiative is a collaboration between Caerphilly Cares, Public Health Wales, and Cwtsh, with contributions from several local services and organisations.
Carol Andrews, cabinet member for education andcommunities, said: 'National Wellbeing Week is a fantastic opportunity for people to connect with their community and discover the wide range of support services available through Rhymney Library Hub.
"It's a welcoming space where residents can access advice, take part in fun activities, and feel supported.'
On Monday the theme is 'connect' with support services on site, arts and crafts, and a coffee morning.
Tuesday is 'get active' with a seated yoga taster, dog rescue demonstration and litter picking.
Wednesday is 'take notice' with gaming and fire home safety advice among the activities on the schedule.
'Keep learning' is on Thursday with a heritage talk, crochet with multiply and a Spanish taster session.
Friday is 'give' with an outdoor celebration featuring a silent disco, craft stalls, ToyBox Project, foodbank support and donations plus a plant buy and swap.

If there's one thing my mum loved, it was going on holiday, she thrived over there and this particular holiday to La Mata she just kept saying how amazing it was, it was her best holiday and she'd felt so well and couldn't wait to bring the grandkids over. "She was due to go away with me and my two toddlers next month as well." Michelle disclosed that her mum provided crucial help when she was studying for a midwifery degree. She sent her mum a video of her 11-month-old granddaughter taking her first steps, reports the Daily Record. Michelle added: "She helped me out so much to pursue my dream degree after having my kids and always made sure I had all the childcare and financial support I needed. Her holidays were a special thing for her, she went multiple times a year, and it was one of the things she loved doing the most. "But the thing she loved the most was her granddaughters and would ask for pictures of them multiple times a day. The day she died, I had sent her a video of my 11-month-old finally walking, and she was in tears over the video, phoning everyone to tell them, and I'm glad that's the last video she saw of the kids." A Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office spokesperson said: "We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Spain." More people in Wales being screened for hepatitis B and C
In 2024, 121,874 people were screened for hepatitis B and 103,203 for hepatitis C, marking a respective 12 per cent and 14 per cent increase compared to 2023, according to the latest Blood Borne Virus (BBV) Annual Surveillance Report from Public Health Wales. Professor Daniel Thomas, consultant epidemiologist at Public Health Wales, said: "World Hepatitis Day is an opportunity to remind people that hepatitis B and C are preventable and treatable conditions. "Public Health Wales fully supports the WHO's goal to eliminate them as public health threats by 2030. "These viruses can remain in the body for many years without causing symptoms and many people may not realise they're infected." The report, covering data up to the end of 2024, identified 318 new hepatitis C cases and 305 new chronic hepatitis B cases. While deaths related to both viruses remain low, hepatitis C-related mortality increased in 2024. Professor Thomas said: "Our free, confidential Test and Post service makes it easier than ever to check your status from home. "I would urge anyone who thinks they may be at risk to get tested. "There is lots of information and support available which will provide peace of mind and allow you to access simple, effective treatment if needed." The at-home postal testing service allows individuals to order a kit online, take a finger-prick blood sample, and receive results by text message. Treatment for hepatitis C now consists of short tablet-based courses with high cure rates. Wales has already met nine of the World Health Organisation's 20 targets for hepatitis elimination. Public Health Wales continues to collaborate with NHS and community partners to improve harm reduction, prison testing, and access to services across the country.
