The very worst thing about And Just Like That? The contents of Carrie Bradshaw's bathroom cabinet
The dreary drugstore sunscreen, sponges and old soap felt jarring. Plus, what's with the weirdly prominent Tums? Is it product placement or is acid reflux aspirational now? Someone on Substack better versed in SATC lore than me wrote an impressively exhaustive analysis of why some products (a particular nail varnish; Pond's cold cream) made sense, but even she thought much of it was wrong. Carrie dresses like Marie Antoinette attending a rival's wedding just to sit in her mansion writing her (execrable) novel; I agree with the Redditor who commented: 'She'd be using La Mer. La Prairie Skin Caviar. That Guerlain Impériale nonsense that you'd have to remortgage your house to afford.'
Maybe someone painstakingly selected every product, but it feels more like a missed opportunity, because a bathroom cabinet is far more revealing than even a fridge. I'm not a peeper – honest – but open shelves in other people's bathrooms are fascinating, from feral-looking scruffs revealed to be followers of 10-step Korean skincare routines, to Instagram princesses somehow conjuring a glazed doughnut glow from a cracked bar of Imperial Leather and an economy tub of Vaseline. A survey of my own bathroom cabinet reveals a forest of manky interdental brushes, HRT, cracked-heel balm, ibuprofen galore and, weirdly, a broken light switch, betraying the dentally challenged, desiccated, headachy, oestrogen-depleted mess behind the, ahem, polished exterior. So if And Just Like That won't give us bathroom glamour like the escapist fluff it's supposed to be, it needs to double down on realism: let's have neck retinol, vaginal oestrogen, cystitis treatments and citalopram.

RHOA star Kelli Ferrell shocks fans with 'tacky' wardrobe malfunction
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Ferrell appeared to repeatedly suffer an awkward wardrobe malfunction during the season 16 reunion part two - much to the shock of fans. For the episode, which aired on July 20, the 40-year-old reality star wore a yellow strapless Kristina Kharlashkina mini dress which featured flower detailing and a train. She made sure to match her ensemble in customized yellow Christian Louboutin heels and accessorized the bold look with a statement necklace from Alexis Bittar. But viewers got a little more than they bargained for when Kelli's chest spilled out of the corset top, seemingly revealing her breast in the process. The apparent nip slip didn't go unnoticed with many social media users branding her outfit 'distracting' and 'tacky.' On Reddit, one user started a thread titled 'Kelli's ill-fitting dress.' 'How are they just gonna keep filming this reunion with Kelli's entire mf nipple out the whole time and expect me to take this seriously y'all… cause I definitely CANNOT,' they posted. The upload garnered a lot of attention, with another responding: 'I'm sick of seeing everyone's areola. Tacky and desperate.' It seemed as though her chest spilled out of her dress while she was sitting on the sofa 'I can't stand it,' another agreed. 'It's so freaking distracting. Like seriously it's not sexy, not feminine, not appealing, not classy. 'It's trashy. TRASHY. Kelli and Shamea both need to change clothes - and I like them both except for their outfits!' Another Reddit post began: 'Anyone catch Kelly's whole a** areola hang out of her dress?! She really needs to wear stuff that fits her.' Replying to the thread, one user wrote: 'She's soooooooo tacky, my goodness.' 'This is hilarious for someone who hollered about her styling team all season,' added another. 'Ma'am.' A third asked: 'Why are her breasts always on the verge of falling out? It makes her outfits look tacky.' Kelli joined the cast of RHOA this season as a restaurateur, celebrity chef and cookbook writer. Her restaurant, Nana's Chicken-N-Waffle, in McDonough, Georgia, is named after her grandmother. She is currently in the process of divorcing her husband Chuvalo Mark Ferrell after 11 years of marriage, following their separation in 2022. The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion aired in two parts, with episode one debuting on July 13. The episode saw host Andy Cohen sit down with cast members Kelli, Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley and friend, Cynthia Bailey to unpack all the drama of the series. The second part of the reunion aired on July 20 and the finale episode will air on July 27 at 8pm ET.

Goldie Hawn, 79, has a mini-me besides her daughter Kate Hudson... find out who the cute tween is
Goldie Hawn has a mini-me out there besides her movie star daughter Kate Hudson. On Monday evening the 79-year-old Hollywood icon was seen on the red carpet with a younger look-alike when at the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere in New York City. It was her 12-year-old granddaughter Rio Hudson. Rio's father is Goldie's son Oliver Hudson and her mother is Erinn Bartlett. Oliver and Erinn have been married for almost 20 years. The little girl has two siblings: her brothers Bondi, 15, and Wilder, 17. Goldie looked thrilled to be sharing the spotlight with the young girl as they put their arms around each other and beamed for photographers. Goldie had on a blue-and-white printed summer dress with her hair down while Rio modeled a yellow floral print dress adding gold necklaces and construction boots as she had an Etienne Aigner purse on her shoulder. Also at the event was Rio's mom and dad Erinn and Oliver as well as her brother Wilder. Happy Gilmore 2 star Adam Sandler was also in attendance as were John Cena, Nikki Garcia, Alix Earle and Paige Spiranac. Goldie has a large family. In addition to Kate and Oliver, the Private Benjamin actress has son Wyatt Russell with her longtime partner Kurt Russell. In May Goldie said that she is proud that her three children have followed in her acting footsteps, especially since they did it without her help. The Oscar winner opened up about her parenting style in a question and answer session after a special screening of 1974's The Sugarland Express at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The crime drama was the first feature film co-written and directed by Steven Spielberg. The child wore a yellow dress with construction boots Mom Erinn is seen left in a black dress and dad Oliver is right in a black-and-white print shirt with khaki slacks Referring to her kids, Hawn said she wanted to keep their childhoods as normal as possible and had actually blocked daughter Kate Hudson, 46, from being offered a part. 'I didn't call an agent and ask them to be represented. I never did that,' the Private Benjamin star said, per People. 'In fact, they wanted Katie for some show, and she was still in high school. And I didn't let her do it because I didn't want her at that age, I wanted her to live a normal life, finish school, at which point you figure that out, but don't start too soon.' The plan seems to have worked. Hudson, 46, was 21 when she received an Academy Award nomination for her breakout role in 2000's Almost Famous and has enjoyed a lengthy career in a variety of roles, including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Glass Onion. Hawn's sons Oliver Hudson, 48, and Wyatt Russell, 38, have also taken up acting, with Russell most recently appearing in Thunderbolts. The First Wives Club star shares Kate and Oliver with ex-husband Bill Hudson, 75, and Wyatt, 38, with her longtime partner Kurt Russell, 74. Hawn said her kids were her 'legacy,' and that she valued their characters more than their professional achievements, and shies away from giving them advice. No, they have to cut their own way,' she told the audience. 'They don't want advice from their parents. Who does?... Too much advice. And also they're doing it on their own.' 'What feels good is that they're amazing human beings,' she said. 'They happen to be talented... They're great humans, all of them. And all my grandchildren — now I have eight — and they're great humans.' Hawn, 79,revealed she once blocked daughter Kate Hudson, 46, from acting when she was a teenager. 'I wanted her to live a normal life, finish school,' she said; Pictured in Los Angeles in November 2022 Hawn hopes her kids surpass her in their careers. 'Who doesn't want to be bigger and better than their parents? That's the whole idea,' she explained. 'The fact that we supersede our parents, that's what we're supposed to do. So we wanted that. Kurt and I wanted that. And so when we look at it, we go, "Oh my God, this is just so awesome."' The proud grandma recently gave three of her grandchildren parts in her upcoming educational film Brain Buddies. 'I wrote and produced it, and three of my grandkids, Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio, did the voices,' she said of Oliver's kids. 'What I loved is how well they followed the direction that I was giving them, and they were great at intonation and how they delivered the lines and what their characters are and all of it,' she said of the experience. 'So for me, it was a memorable joy that I will have for the rest of my life, and the children will never forget it.'

Viral Coldplay concert kiss cam HR executive just took out $1.6m mortgage with her husband
The HR executive caught on camera cuddling with her boss at a Coldplay concert had recently taken out a massive $1.6million mortgage with her husband, it has emerged. Kristin Cabot and her husband Andrew Cabot, an heir to the $15.4billion Cabot family fortune, purchased a $2.2million home on New Hampshire 's coast in March this year. But the wealthy couple, referred to as husband and wife in state property records, did not outright pay for the 'fixer-upper', documents obtained by The Sun reveal. The pair are both reportedly named on loan paperwork for the $1.6million mortgage taken out with Morgan Stanley. Kristin, 52, and Andrew, 60, had planned to renovate the four-bed, two-bath classic New England residence, which is situated on 1.42 acres of land. The property was sold 'as is' and, according to the newspaper, 'needs rehab'. It is unclear if the couple have hired contractors yet or even started renovations. Andrew and his elite family have now faced a global scandal that's hit like a bolt from the blue after Kristin was caught on a kiss cam cozying up to her colleague Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert in Boston last week The pair, who recoiled on seeing themselves on the big screen, met at AI startup Astronomer. Byron resigned as its CEO last week. He is also married, to a woman called Megan, and they own a sprawling Massachusetts mansion. Kristin and Andrew have not been seen in public since footage of their intimate moment with Byron at the concert went viral. It is unclear if they have since split. Massachusetts property documents dated in January confirmed that Kristin is currently married to Andrew, CEO and COO of Privateer Rum. It is unclear exactly when the pair tied the knot, but the documents confirm that Kristin, whose maiden name is Stanek, was married at the time of selling a $1.8 million property in Watertown, Massachusetts, earlier this year. Public documents show that Andrew has been married at least twice before, in 1993 and 2014. He shares two children with his first wife Maud, who posted a picture of her ex-husband with Kristin looking loved up at his daughters 25th birthday party on social media in April of last year. Kristin even posed with his son Henry, 30, in the snaps, and was seen wearing a wedding ring at the event - which was missing during her cozy Coldplay outing with Byron. Kristin and Andrew are also referred to as 'husband and wife' when they purchased their $2.2million two-story home in Rye, New Hampshire earlier this year. As the home is currently under lien, they may have to sell the property if they are plan to move forward with a divorce or formal separation. Both parties are responsible for mortgage payments regardless of who is physically residing in the home - which features high ceilings, a wrap-around porch, walk-up attic and two-car garage. One party could buy the other out or refinance the loan to take on full responsibility. Kristin and Andrew also sold another four-bedroom property nearby for $1.05million in February, after purchasing it in April of last year. Andrew filed for divorce from his second wife Julie in 2018, after marrying in 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. Both he and his first wife Maud filed for divorce jointly in 2013, after separating in 2011. Kristin has been married once before, filing for divorce from Ken Thornby in 2018, which was finalized in 2020. Andrew Cabot is a direct descendant of one of the original Boston Brahmin families. The term 'Boston Brahmin' refers to the historic aristocracy in Boston, dating back to the the earliest English colonists. These ultra-wealthy families held significant social, political and cultural influence from the 18th century onward. Andrew touts his family lineage on the Privateer Rum website, highlighting how he is the sixth-generation owner of the brand and a direct descender of its founder Andrew Cabot, whom he appears to have been named after. The Cabot Family, which first made its fortune in soot, dates back at least 10 generations and is involved in a slew of businesses across New England, including rum production. The family is one of the richest in Boston, with a fortune worth at least $15.4 billion today, and was considered untouchable for decades until their dynasty was underscored by the political rise of John F. Kennedy. JFK defeated Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. in a senate race in 1952, paving the path for the Kennedys to establish themselves as American royalty. But despite the Kennedys' rise to power, the Cabots are still so well-known in the Boston area that locals jokingly claim they 'speak only to God'. The Cabots were thrust into controversy last week after Kristin was caught cuddling with Byron. In the viral moment, the two were seen enjoying the show when the camera operator working the jumbotron panned to them. Byron had his arms wrapped around Kristin and the pair swayed in unison as the British band played. The intimate moment descended into chaos as panic set in, Byron seemingly fell to his knees while Kristin put her head in her hands as the crowd laughed. After the clip of the two went viral, Astronomer issued a statement confirming that Byron has been placed on leave as they investigate the incident. The Friday night statement said: 'Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO given Andy Byron has been placed on leave. We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days.' Prior to the announcement that Byron was on leave, the company had announced that a formal investigation into the clip was underway. Shortly after, Byron's wife Megan removed his last name from her social media accounts after the concert exchange went viral. Kristin's now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she has served as an 'advisory board member' at Privateer Rum since September 2020.
