Chennai's Industrialist and Philanthropist Shri Pravin Chandan Honoured with Bharat Gaurav Award at the British Parliament Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (NewsVoir) Acclaimed entrepreneur and philanthropist Shri Pravin Chandan was conferred with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award at a grand ceremony held at the British Parliament in London on July 3, 2025. With over two decades of experience in marketing and enterprise building, Shri Chandan has played a pivotal mentoring role in the success of businesses. A devout follower of Jain philosophy, Mr. Chandan has funded the construction and renovation of Jain temples and Upashrays across India, including Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Palitana. He was the principal sponsor of the Chaturmas Upayan at Kesarwadi Jain Temple in Chennai, hosting 450 Jain monks for over three months.
He has distributed 25,000 books on Jain teachings and actively supports spiritual camps for youth across India.

UltraTech Cement Q1 Results: Cons PAT surges 49% YoY to Rs 2,226 crore, revenue jumps 13%

UltraTech Cement on Monday reported a 49% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter at Rs 2,226 crore, compared to Rs 1,495 crore in the year-ago period. The profit is attributable to the owners of the company. ADVERTISEMENT The Aditya Birla Group company's revenue stood at Rs 21,275 crore, up 13% from Rs 18,818 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The company's profit after tax (PAT) declined 10% sequentially from Rs 2,482 crore reported in Q4FY25. Revenue (topline) also fell 8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to Rs 21,275 crore, compared to Rs 23,063 crore in the January–March quarter of FY25.
