Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney pushes Versace apparel in social media posts

New York Post14-05-2025
Dylan Mulvaney has been promoting luxury clothing brand Versace in social media posts, roughly two years after the transgender influencer's controversial partnership with Bud Light financially hurt the brand.
'I think this is the best I ever looked, I'm pretty sure,' Mulvaney said while twirling in a black Versace dress in a video posted to social media on May 5.

Mulvaney wore the dress to a star-studded launch party for Versace's new La Vacanza collection in New York City on May 3.
The influencer also posted photos posing next to actress Anne Hathaway and tagged Versace.
In another video post, Mulvaney posed in the same dress while Madonna's 'Material Girl' played in the background.
The influencer lip-synced to a clip of Fran Drescher's character from 'The Nanny' saying, 'This is the one I always pull out when my relationships start to get a little serious.'

It is unclear what, if any, official relationship Versace has with Mulvaney, who has millions of followers across such social media platforms as TikTok and Instagram.
The social media videos drew attention after the luxury Italian brand revealed in February it had experienced a 15% drop in global sales in its third quarter.

In a company earnings call in February, John Idol, CEO of Capri Holdings, Versace's parent company, blamed the tanking sales on the company leaning too much into the 'quiet luxury trend' and reducing its number of entry-level-priced merchandise, Business Insider reported.

In 2025, Idol said, Versace would instead try to achieve 'the ideal balance of fun and elegant assortment' and introduce a 'wider offering of product to appeal to a broader base of luxury consumers.'

Versace did not immediately return a request for comment.
Two years ago, Mulvaney partnered with Bud Light for a March Madness social media promotion that proved to be disastrous for the company.

The beer brand celebrated the influencer identifying as a woman for a full year by sending personalized packs of Bud Light decorated with Mulvaney's face.
The social media videos spurred an angry reaction from conservatives and beer loyalists who felt the classic American brand was abandoning its customer base in favor of far-left identity politics.
By May, the beer company had experienced a nearly 30% drop in sales and $27 billion decline in its market value.
Former Anheuser-Busch President of Operations Anson Frericks remarked in February that the brand has yet to fully recover, though Bud Light has been making efforts to win back customers.

STMicro to buy part of NXP Semiconductors' sensor business for up to $950 million

(Reuters) -French-Italian chipmaker STMicroelectronics said on Thursday it would acquire part of NXP Semiconductors' sensor unit for up to $950 million in cash. The deal would expand STMicro's portfolio of MEMS-based electromechanical sensors, which include safety and monitoring sensors for vehicles as well as pressure sensors for industrial applications. The unit generated revenue of about $300 million last year, STMicro said in a statement. As part of the agreement, STMicro would make an upfront payment of $900 million and $50 million on achieving certain technical milestones. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026. Chipmakers exposed to the struggling automotive, industrial, and consumer chip markets have faced a sales slump as they grapple with low demand and high inventories. Earlier in the day, STMicro, one of Europe's largest chipmakers, reported its first quarterly loss in over a decade as it took a $190 million hit from restructuring and impairment costs. Gisele Bündchen shares rare glimpse of new baby boy during intimate birthday celebration

Gisele Bündchen celebrated her 45th birthday with the ones she loves the most. The supermodel offered a glimpse of life lately on social media, and included photos of her rarely seen baby boy. Bündchen gave birth to her third child earlier this year, and her first baby with jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend Joaquim Valente. "Haven't been around here much, but I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the warm birthday wishes," the former Victoria's Secret stunner captioned a carousel of images. "I'm so grateful for another trip around the sun and even more grateful to have spent it in nature, surrounded by love and my family." The Brazilian-born beauty and her twin sister, Patricia, showed off matching birthday cakes in one image, and a handful of desserts from a gorgeous tablescape. Bündchen carried her five-month-old in a baby carrier while hiking with her family, and positioned a white heart over her son's face for a photo with her father, Valdir. "Today is also my mom's birthday," she added online. "We miss her deeply, but we know she's always with us. I continue to trust and welcome life with an open heart, holding gratitude for all that is still to come. Sending love to everyone." Gisele's mother, Vania Maria Nonnenmacher Bündchen, died from complications due to cancer in January 2024. She was 75. Gisele is one of six children, including twin Patricia, and sisters Rafaela, Graziela, Gabriela and Raquel. Following her death, Gisele wrote about the grief surrounding the loss of her mother. "It hurts to know that I won't be able to hug you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us," Bündchen wrote in the caption. "You were an angel on earth, always helping everyone around you. I am so grateful to be your daughter and to have learned from you. Thank you for being the best role model of love, strength, compassion, courage, and grace." "I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we shared and will live by the values you taught me," she added. "You will live forever through the many lives that you touched. Thank you for giving me five best friends for life. Your love will always guide us. I will see you in my dreams." News of Bündchen's third pregnancy broke in October 2024. She shares the new baby with her boyfriend, Valente, who she began dating in June 2023, around seven months after her divorce from Brady was finalized. "Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they're looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family," a source told People magazine in a statement. After confirming their romance, rumors swirled online that Bundchen and Valente had an affair. The model spoke with The New York Times in March 2024, saying: "That is a lie." Bündchen and her ex-husband, Tom Brady, officially announced their divorce in separate Instagram posts in October 2022. The former couple was married for 13 years and share son Benjamin Rein, and daughter Vivian Lake. Brady also shares son Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Harry Styles' Pleasing Launches Vibrators

Harry Styles hasn't been in a boy band in almost 10 years, and while he has long since broken out of the PG-13 teen stardom that launched his career, his new NSFW project is still guaranteed to surprise a few fans. Former One Directioner Harry Styles is selling vibrators now. Yes, you read that correctly. Harry is entering the sex toy space via his beauty and lifestyle brand, Pleasing. So now the online shop can be your one-stop-shop for nail polish, loungewear, skincare, vibrators and lube. How convenient! The vibe is not yet available for purchase, but you can see all the details on the Pleasing website page, Pleasing Yourself—which, the shop would like to remind you, is for adults only. 'An invitation to please yourself like you mean it. Pleasing Yourself is the result of our radical pursuit of that which feels good,' the page reads. Pleasing Yourself is launching with two products, The Pleasing Double Sided Vibrator, which will retail for $68, and The Pleasing Lube, which will retail for $25. The vibrator—which bears a striking resemblance to Pleasing's nail polish bottles—was apparently designed by Zoë Ligon, a sex educator and owner of Spectrum Boutique. The silicone vibe features a rounded head for external stimulation and, on the other side, an insertable vibrator (only suitable for vaginal use). The lube is silicone based—which means it is not compatible with the Pleasing Double Sided Vibrator, but is safe to use with non-silicone sex toys and most condoms (always double check to make sure). Harry teased his new products on Instagram with a series of videos on the Pleasing Instagram. The tagline? 'Please yourself like you mean it.' The products aren't available for purchase online yet, but they will be available at a surprise Pleasing pop-up shop in NYC, opening this weekend only, July 25-27. It's unclear if Pleasing Yourself will expand with more products in the near future, but if it does, I have some suggestions. Perhaps Harry could launch a 'Watermelon Sugar'-themed vibe. Harry's move into sex toys is unexpected, but then again, maybe it's just a sign of the times.
