Barça Atletic to see four more departures this summer
Barcelona are starting a major rebuild of their reserve team, Barça Atletic, after a disappointing season that ended in relegation.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the club has decided not to exercise the purchase options on four players who were on loan with the team last season, namely, Ruben Lopez, Ivan Cedric, Pedro Soma, and Abdul Aziz Issah.

Their contracts with Barça Atletic end today, and they will return to their original clubs. This move signals a fresh start for the reserve side as Barcelona looks to build a stronger squad for the upcoming campaign.
What's the reason?
The club's decision comes down to two main reasons. First, the team's relegation and the impressive talent already in the club's youth system.
Barça's academy continues to produce high-quality players, making it unnecessary to spend money on permanent deals for these loanees.
Ruben Lopez will return to Deportivo de la Coruna, Ivan Cedric to UD Las Palmas, Pedro Soma to UE Cornella, and Abdul Aziz Issah to Dreams FC.

All four showed moments of promise, but Barça Atletic's new project will focus on homegrown talent.
More departures on the horizon
The exits of these loaned players come as part of a wider clear-out.
Captain Aleix Garrido has already signed with Eibar until 2028, Pau Prim said his goodbyes and will head to Al-Sadd in Qatar, while Diego Percan has joined Polish side Arka Gdynia. Ander Astralaga, meanwhile, will spend the next year on loan at Granada.
Barça Atletic are also working to confirm the sales of two more players, namely Sergi Domínguez and Noah Darvich. Dominguez is set to join Dinamo Zagreb, who will pay €1.2 million for the defender.
Meanwhile, Noah Darvich is close to finalising a move to Stuttgart for a fee of around €1 million, including fixed and variable payments.

Spain to Delist Thousands of Airbnbs and Other Vacation Rentals
Spain's approach to de-listing units is similar to the one New York City has taken in the past couple of years. Spain's short-term rental market is bracing for major disruption as its housing ministry prepares to delist thousands of unregistered tourist apartments during the peak summer season. Starting in mid-August, Spain's housing ministry will begin enforcing a 2024 law that requires all short-term rentals to display a unique rental registration number (NRA in Spanish). Listings that fail to comply will be removed from major platforms like Airbnb. 'We continue to put a stop to illegal tourist apartments to guarantee the right to decent housing,' Housing Minister Isabel Rodríguez said in mid-July when the government and Airbnb announced an agreement to enforce the new law. The first apartments will be removed from platforms in mid-August after they are given a 10-day grace period to appeal. An Airbnb spokesperson told Skift on Tuesday that the company has led discussions at the European

Things are getting worse: The case of Barcelona and Ter Stegen will go to court!
Who will ultimately win the case that goes to court? Getty Images One day, as the problems between Messi and Bartomeu's administration escalated, Messi made his historic statement to a media outlet: "I will not go to court against the club of my life!" And that is exactly what happened. Messi never went to court and never faced Barcelona in that courtroom. However, it seems that things are a little different here, as recently, the dispute between Barcelona and the German Ter Stegen has actually escalated. Things are getting worse The Catalan club has taken a firm stance against their German goalkeeper, with club officials now preparing for courtroom proceedings. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona's leadership believes they hold a strong legal position in the dispute. At the heart of the conflict lies the club's accusation of bad faith conduct by the 33-year-old shot-stopper. The situation deteriorated when Ter Stegen allegedly refused to submit required medical reports regarding his injury - an act Barcelona management viewed as direct insubordination, prompting disciplinary measures. While the goalkeeper's contract runs through 2028, tensions reached breaking point following his recent clash with manager Hansi Flick. Ter Stegen has made clear he considers the club's treatment unacceptable and intends to fight any forced exit.

Another Real Madrid youngster spotted training with first-team
An up-and-coming member of the academy ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was on Tuesday spotted training alongside Xabi Alonso's first-team squad. The player in question? Thiago Pitarch. Pitarch, for his part, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who has long been held in high regard by those behind the scenes at Real Madrid. The Spaniard, a youth international with La Roja, spent this past season plying his trade with Los Blancos' U19 side. And along the way, Pitarch evidently did enough to pique the attentions of new first-team boss Xabi Alonso and his staff. As showcased in the photo below, the starlet was afforded the chance to impress alongside Real Madrid's star-studded senior squad in pre-season training on Tuesday: News of Pitarch's call-up comes a day on from the trio of Manuel Ángel, Diego Aguado and Daniel Yáñez also being drafted into the first-team setup at Valdebebas.
